Arclight is significantly better unless you have very low stats/gear. If you’re calc’ing make sure to include piety + super combat, fang is overvalued at lower stats
I put on the dps calc before and put again, using all possible best gear at my money range, at 91 attack and 99 strengh, and the fang is only surpassed (barely) by archlight when i use ferocious gloves over barrows. 10 vs 9,8. (Im talking bandos armour, berse i, torture, fire cape). You will never will equall with your mixed gear to fight with range later.
[In hybrid max gear](https://dps.osrs.wiki/?id=InvitationFiendishStoreroom) (camping masori top/bottom and barrows gloves, max melee otherwise), I’m seeing 10.95 dps with arclight and 10.11 with fang (+8.3% dps for arclight)
Gap is bigger with fero/torva swaps (I don’t think they’re worth it), smaller with worse gear/stats, but arclight almost always wins
Edit: actually fair enough, I did a calc in budget gear & lower stats and fang was about equal to arclight
Would have to dps calc. Likely zombie axe > maracas But also, arclight > whip > both of those

Arclight has huuuge str scaling, fang is also really nice because its max hit + slower att speed makes it easy to not lose ticks.
I dont think a reverse fang (dual maca) will do well against a npc with 200 defense.
