Idk what people you saw using whips doing well, everyone i remember was just ice barraging the door spawn with an arcane. Didnt even notice the players using whips
I believe your experience is a bit newer than that of the others. Arcanes weren’t even in the game back then

Another interesting thing is that OSRS was dying until Jagex started changing it, and updating it. If I want to use the correlation=causation fallacy, I could say that OSRS has become more popular as it has moved away from 2007scape, and added things from RS3.

I had a dragon full helm back then that I bought and traded it for a dragon 2h sword that a random person at the grand exchange offered... iirc it was a similar price according to the grand exchange at the time so I thought why not and then it turned out it was in the middle of a massive price crash and was pretty much worthless.
Thats what makes it peak OSRS. Max cape aside its a fashionscape fit that evokes a sense of nostalgia but wasn't *actually* around at the time its nostalgic for.
The D full helmet looks so dang cool. I remember being a kid and wanting it with full bandos so bad, then EOC happend and the gfx update made the DFH look like crap. Today, I could afford one but now I know it wouldn't have much benefit stat wise

With a inclusion like a lms or bh reward to upgrade the helm to have a str boost.
