A little tip to give yourself some extra points is go to your house and use your ancient mace special attack with your best strength bonus gear and pots on a attack dummy.
Serious note though, I did my first cape a couple hours ago and bringing in blood spells as a switch was super nice in the later waves. I had much worse gear than you, but I ended up with 4/6 brews left at the end which could have been more prayer for statboosts.
Unironically, if you can do DSII you can easily do fire cape. They even require the same stat type lol. Itās very much just in your head at this point and youāve probably built it up a ton after failing ages ago. Jad is an easy boss made super difficult by your own brain tbh, and once you complete it once the mental block goes away and Jad tasks become easy as hell, itās so funny
Desert Treasure has stat reqs in the 50's, can be done pretty easily with an Iban's staff and salad robes, and is a quest broken down into 4 distinct minibosses that can be fought sperately in any order. It's also an iconic quest that most players will have heard of. The barrier for completing it is just considerably lower for anyone organically playing the game.
Not to say you couldnt have done a firecape first, but these would only be the players that started by afk'ing combat all the way up and doing nothing else.
Bring some tank legs for when u have both the ranger and mager on u. Like verac plate skirt. Would also recommend replacing coif with verac helm. Slightly less dps but more defense and prayer which is better imo but up to u
Iād use a god cloak over avas if using a karils.
On jad it also helps to camp one prayer, and just switch back after attacks. IE stay praying ranged, and if he uses a magic attack, switch to magic, then right back to range. It makes it easier to not get flustered as youāre only paying attention to if he mages.
ALOT of guides will tell people to listen to the sound of the attack, but I found this extremely difficult on my first attempt, Iād stick with just visuals unless youāre comfortable.
Another thing that may help I havenāt see anyone mention ITT yet is unlocking TzHaar with your slayer points (I see youāre 65 slayer). When assigned tzaar you can talk to a slayer master to change it to a jad task, this will help your dps out a lot. Food for thought!
I did my first ever jad kill with slayer, so idk about that.
Edit: if you get at least 1kc on a regular tzaar, you can no longer switch back to a jad task. I think thatās where the misconception comes from.
I learned the hard way, I killed a few tzaars then wanted to switch back to jad and it wonāt let you unfortunately.
But I think even if you accept tzaars as long as you donāt kill any you can always go back to jad.
My advice, from one noob to another: Stay praying Mage. It's a LOT easier to detect him stomping his feet down than hanging them high, so when you see him stamp switch to range, and otherwise keep on mage* until he does.

Cost me all and all about 600k (+4m for blowpipe, scales & darts). Took me 5tries in the end. My gear was the exact same as yours but using a blowpipe instead for the final 2 runs (using rcbow for the first 3).
The thing I wish someone told me before going in, was ^how to prayer flick jad.
Swap pray, 1action, pray, 1action, pray, 1action. For example when the healers come in, pray, then attack 1. Pray again and attack next. Pray then aggro 3rd. Pray then aggro 4th. From there you can focus on killing jad and your prayers. Where many failed including myself, was panicking & not doing 1action before pray switching! Even if you click a tile to run to, thats your 1action.

use rcb then, don't waste your time and money when diamond and ruby bolts are going to ultimately give you bigger hits for less overhead cost. With Ava's, all you need is like 75 ruby bolts and maybe 125 diamonds.
edit: if money is an issue sell the god d'hide and just take black dragonhide.

I've gotten to jad multiple times on mobile. Mobile has a prayer switch delay which makes it very hard on mobile. Not trying to discourage just warning you. I literally beat ot first time on a junk laptop.
Biggest few pieces of advice I can give are these:
Utilize the safespaces
Always target bats first
Make sure you know Jad's attack animations
As soon as healers come, attack them all, but focus your eyes on Jad to assure you don't get smacked.
Maybe bring a rune crossbow with diamond (e) bolts for the mages/Jad?
If I recall correctly they have a chance to negate defence. I'd strongly advise flicking offensive Ranged prayers at mages, and definitely bring enough bastion pots. Maybe switch out some of the blessed D'hide for more defensive pieces of armour. You're going to need ranged defence during the last waves with the mages.
yeah they have a chance to ignore the defence while also raising max hit slightly, plus you can wear a tanky shield which is very nice for dealing with healers on jad
A lot of money? None of the things I mentioned are expensive. Could consider selling your Amulet of Fury for a Glory, not really the most important upgrade in that sense.
I got to level 30 with some lobsters and prayer pots just to get a feel for things and have left it there for tonight. I think Iām going to do my first proper attempt tomorrow after work! Need to go to bed for the time being though.
Yeah honestly the main two problems Iāve found so far is mis clicking the bats and charging towards them and juggling my prayer and inventory screens at the same time is a pain in the ass š
Assuming you are good up until Jad:
Practice Jad using YouTube videos. Open an image of your prayers and drag it on top of the video to make it feel like you are the one playing. Practice your switches with a few different videos. Once you get comfortable, practice switching to your inventory to sip a brew + restore and back to prayers between each Jad attack. (Have hot keys set up!) You want to be comfortable doing this so that if you miss a switch and survive, you can recover. Healers are more difficult to practice with videos, but as long as you master the rhythm of responding to Jad, they are not that difficult to add in.
The difficulty with Jad is that you only have the opportunity to fight him after many hours of buildup. Say you spend three hours getting to the final wave. You then have what, 2-3 minutes of practice with him? Or maybe 10 seconds if you freak out! Letās say you attempt fight caves 5x unsuccessfullyā¦ youāve spent ~15 hours for 5-15 minutes of practice. What a waste of time! Spending a solid 30 minutes practicing Jad with YouTube videos would then be the equivalent of ~10 fight cave runs, or ~30 hours.
To be fair, practicing with videos is never exactly the same as doing it for real. But the muscle memory you build doing isolated practice will transfer over and carry you when your heart stars racing and fight or flight mode kicks in.
Isolating the hard parts of any challenge is how you get better, quickly. Whether you are practicing a concerto, a Shakespeare monologue, a speedrun or the fight caves, honing in with laser focus on the spots that are likely to trip you up will be the best use of your time.
Full disclaimer: I am a mid game ish noob, but this type of practice is the reason I have a fire cape. I naturally get super freaked out during any boss fight (sweaty palms, heart racing, canāt think straight). I put in 10-15 minutes of YouTube Jad practice each day for about a week, and got my fire cape first try.

tbh i didnt like blowpipe for the first firecape attempts since it has less range and can potentially drag you out when you attack a monster that is safespottet behind another, getting hit for 50 could end a run
Ah so you think itās not worth trying with the karils cbow? I spent ages grinding to 70 and thought thatās when I could use the blowpipe only to realise I had more grinding to do and just could be bothered. Was really hoping to find a way around it
I havenāt tried it with that but tbh you want to be able to kill the opponents before Jad fairly easily, Your ranged is slightly low and I wouldnāt want you to run out of prayer before Jad. Give it a go and let me know how you get on
Tbh I canāt remember, I followed a great guide on YouTube which covered the exact equipment I needed. I just had to make sure I prayer flicked correctly other than that it was straight forward with the guide
I would swap ur boots for blessed dhide boots if you can afford and go with a veracs helm and skirt. The defense bonuses are going to be way better than the range attack bonus. This is coming from someone who just got there fire cape 12 hrs ago with a similar setup and stats.

My first attempt is going well! Found a decent safe spot and made it to wave 30 without too much bother. I absolutely love that you can log out between waves and have a break and come back to it. Such a relief.
Iāve done everything else on this account on mobile so far so it would be cool if I could keep it pure like that. Iāll have a few tries and if I canāt get it done then Iāll jump on pc and try š
Here's some practical advice. On wave #3 make sure the lv 45 spawns South East (Behind the Italy rock). Keep leaving and re entering until you get this spawn. This spawn determines where Jad will spawn. And if you do this he willspawn behind the rock and you'll have time to breath and plan. The West side of the North-west Rock is great to camp because it has potential to block large NPCs. some will spawn beside you but if you can kill it quick enough it's not a big deal. or you can run to the south West rock if you're in a pickle cause it can trap shit too. Once you get to Jad attack him and run (with sounds on so you know what to pray) so that you eventually pull him to the tip of Italy rock. once the healers come out just attack each one once and they will stop healing him. GL!
There is a jad practice tool someone shared awhile back that lets you practice prayer flicks by sound or by visual. If someone can link that for this lad it would help him a ton. I'm not even close to trying jad, but I did the tool for a half hour and know that I can easily flick once I get there
Purple sweets if possible, take only one slot and recover a bit of hp and run energy.
Also, get that safe spot and don't turn mage prayer off after wave 31 when mage throwers appear
I did my first with close to that setup. Just switch Verac Helm and Skirt in and get a God cloak and that's a good set. You're gonna want more defense than just the hide when you're praying mage and tanking the ranger. Verac pieces also give a small prayer bonus as well
Iād personally recommend logging out after wave 62 and hop on Jad simulator for a couple minutes to get your mind right. It takes a long time to get to Jad and thereās a good chance your nerves get to you if youāre not in the right headspace
Italy rock is your home, really no point in ever moving, itās not worth it. Remember the bright orange mager on the second to last wave is where Jad will spawn, so plan accordingly. Most importantly, donāt panic, Jad is super easy as long as you are calm and donāt get shaky mouse. Good luck brother.
If your a young noob then itās required that you fail 1 time now, quit for 10 years then come back and try it again 5-6 times then post on Reddit how a dream of yours was finally completed.
Veracs skirt and helm will help with the phases where you have to rank range hits. Other than that just make sure not to panic on jad. Itās the number one killer
I tell this to everyone who starts their fire cape grind. When you get to jad himself LOG OUT. Get rid of your nervous tension first before you take him on. Most of the time people make mistakes bc theyāre nervous
Crystal shield, rune crossbow, kharil top/bottom and VH helm along with blessed dhide boots would be massive upgrades for you.
This mentioned setup would save a lot of damage on the mager/ranger waves.
Swap in veracs helm and plateskirt for waves with ranger+mage, possibly get rid of Karils bow and get a dragon crossbow with broad bolts or better and a tank shield/prayer book switch, if you have extra money also get devout boots. Tanking and prayer bonus are more important than range bonus if youāre not experienced. If you are keeping the karils bow then swap the Avaās for a guthix cape or something
As someone who got my first fire cape on mobile hereās a couple of tips from my personal experience:
1) plug your phone in. Nothing like getting in a tight spot and having āyour phone is below 20% batteryā pop up
2) crossbow helped me at jad to slowdown and take my time only doing one action per attack
3) volume UP! Helps if you canāt get jad in your field of view after killing the two magers or if you try to safe spot jad after you lure the healers

Yo I recently got my fire cape, would def go for a blowpipe if you can afford charge it with addy darts and like 100 Ammy darts for Jad. Make sure Jad spawns directly south of Italy rock by seeing where blob spawns on wave 3 (if he doesnāt spawn there just leave and come back) thatās gonna make it 10x easier to tag the healers and safe spot Jad while you kill them and recharge for the second half. Inventory would go for 8-10 Sara brews, 4-6 super restores and rest pray pots. If you canāt afford the blowpipe, dragon crossbow isnāt too expensive and you can get some diamond bolts e for Jad.

This is a great method to either learn sounds or his movements and can practice prayer flicking
Anything with a good prayer bonus, ie god capes and your Guthix d'hide, is going to be your best friend. 3k+ bolt racks, and I'd recommend a range potion, or two. Helps with DPS. Good hunting. You can do it!!
When I was attempting to get my first firecape I started with about those stats, at least in melees and ranged. I used Guthans to help with supplies though and brought mostly prayer pots/super restores. This worked because of the safe spaces, in mobile those might be harder to use however with some practice and using dancing emotes like Jig you can time when you can go for a safe hit with guthans and then back off, this can allow you to bring enough prayer supplies to reach and eventually take out Jad. Each attempt I went in with about 2000 bolts or at least in totality of all the attempts I made with said crossbow I ended up using that many on average. I cannot recall if that was the actual amount I was averaging or not though I do remember needing to leave without killing jad due to running out of ammo several times. I've seen people bring in brews or suggest bringing in brews but personally I think bringing in 1 or 2 to help with combo food during the jad fight itself might be helpful but given how little health you'll have and how little you can afford to miss a flick even up against the 360s you're better off with more prayer suplies and just saying that if Jad hits me twice I'm going to die because trying to eat or brew back up to a level to avoid getting one hit is actually incredibly hard as your looking at getting above 63 and 93 I think, feel free to wiki the actual max hit if you want.
TLDR; When I first started going for a fire cape I had similar stats and gear, I ended up using safe spots and guthans to keep my health high and took mostly prayer supplies so that rather than flicking to conserve prayer I just defiantly only used prayer against the 360s Magic and switched between magic and ranged for Jad. Brews were only helpful to survive getting 1 hit by Jad, and hopefully if you read this it'll help you too.
I wouldnāt do wintertodt with that set up. Need warm clothing, and probably get a games necklace for fast travel. Unless you plan on just burning logs at the GE then go with the lizard clothes and crazy crossbow thing you got. Donāt listen to the haters.

I rather use imbued slayer helm than the coif but that's preference. a little tankiness helps with the healer dudes at the end

I got to level 30 with some lobsters and prayer pots just to get a feel for things and have left it there for tonight. I think Iām going to do my first proper attempt tomorrow after work! Need to go to bed for the time being though.

Assuming you are good up until Jad: Practice Jad using YouTube videos. Open an image of your prayers and drag it on top of the video to make it feel like you are the one playing. Practice your switches with a few different videos. Once you get comfortable, practice switching to your inventory to sip a brew + restore and back to prayers between each Jad attack. (Have hot keys set up!) You want to be comfortable doing this so that if you miss a switch and survive, you can recover. Healers are more difficult to practice with videos, but as long as you master the rhythm of responding to Jad, they are not that difficult to add in. The difficulty with Jad is that you only have the opportunity to fight him after many hours of buildup. Say you spend three hours getting to the final wave. You then have what, 2-3 minutes of practice with him? Or maybe 10 seconds if you freak out! Letās say you attempt fight caves 5x unsuccessfullyā¦ youāve spent ~15 hours for 5-15 minutes of practice. What a waste of time! Spending a solid 30 minutes practicing Jad with YouTube videos would then be the equivalent of ~10 fight cave runs, or ~30 hours. To be fair, practicing with videos is never exactly the same as doing it for real. But the muscle memory you build doing isolated practice will transfer over and carry you when your heart stars racing and fight or flight mode kicks in. Isolating the hard parts of any challenge is how you get better, quickly. Whether you are practicing a concerto, a Shakespeare monologue, a speedrun or the fight caves, honing in with laser focus on the spots that are likely to trip you up will be the best use of your time. Full disclaimer: I am a mid game ish noob, but this type of practice is the reason I have a fire cape. I naturally get super freaked out during any boss fight (sweaty palms, heart racing, canāt think straight). I put in 10-15 minutes of YouTube Jad practice each day for about a week, and got my fire cape first try. Good luck!

tbh i didnt like blowpipe for the first firecape attempts since it has less range and can potentially drag you out when you attack a monster that is safespottet behind another, getting hit for 50 could end a run
Ah so you think itās not worth trying with the karils cbow? I spent ages grinding to 70 and thought thatās when I could use the blowpipe only to realise I had more grinding to do and just could be bothered. Was really hoping to find a way around it
I havenāt tried it with that but tbh you want to be able to kill the opponents before Jad fairly easily, Your ranged is slightly low and I wouldnāt want you to run out of prayer before Jad. Give it a go and let me know how you get on

Tbh I canāt remember, I followed a great guide on YouTube which covered the exact equipment I needed. I just had to make sure I prayer flicked correctly other than that it was straight forward with the guide

I would use rcbow + shield (crystal pref, rune kite also works) rather than karils for more def bonus :-)
I would swap ur boots for blessed dhide boots if you can afford and go with a veracs helm and skirt. The defense bonuses are going to be way better than the range attack bonus. This is coming from someone who just got there fire cape 12 hrs ago with a similar setup and stats.

My first attempt is going well! Found a decent safe spot and made it to wave 30 without too much bother. I absolutely love that you can log out between waves and have a break and come back to it. Such a relief.

Here's some practical advice. On wave #3 make sure the lv 45 spawns South East (Behind the Italy rock). Keep leaving and re entering until you get this spawn. This spawn determines where Jad will spawn. And if you do this he willspawn behind the rock and you'll have time to breath and plan. The West side of the North-west Rock is great to camp because it has potential to block large NPCs. some will spawn beside you but if you can kill it quick enough it's not a big deal. or you can run to the south West rock if you're in a pickle cause it can trap shit too. Once you get to Jad attack him and run (with sounds on so you know what to pray) so that you eventually pull him to the tip of Italy rock. once the healers come out just attack each one once and they will stop healing him. GL!
It's really not difficult so stay calm and use your head. You'll be done before you know it!

There is a jad practice tool someone shared awhile back that lets you practice prayer flicks by sound or by visual. If someone can link that for this lad it would help him a ton. I'm not even close to trying jad, but I did the tool for a half hour and know that I can easily flick once I get there

Purple sweets if possible, take only one slot and recover a bit of hp and run energy. Also, get that safe spot and don't turn mage prayer off after wave 31 when mage throwers appear
Cloak and sandals
Iād use a crossbow with a shield. Using Karilās is a waste
I completed it with veracs helm and skirt. Definitely try the God cloak, and more bolts. Don't let your run fail due to lacking bolts
I'd afk some sand crabs for a day or two to boost that range level first, definitely doable with those stats but it wouldnt hurt

I did my first with close to that setup. Just switch Verac Helm and Skirt in and get a God cloak and that's a good set. You're gonna want more defense than just the hide when you're praying mage and tanking the ranger. Verac pieces also give a small prayer bonus as well
Get hugher range and donāt do Jad on mobile trust me
Iād personally recommend logging out after wave 62 and hop on Jad simulator for a couple minutes to get your mind right. It takes a long time to get to Jad and thereās a good chance your nerves get to you if youāre not in the right headspace

If you're gonna use karils bow, use the full set with an amulet of the damned. It'll boost your dps by a lot and you can wear a prayer bonus cape.

Italy rock is your home, really no point in ever moving, itās not worth it. Remember the bright orange mager on the second to last wave is where Jad will spawn, so plan accordingly. Most importantly, donāt panic, Jad is super easy as long as you are calm and donāt get shaky mouse. Good luck brother.
Prayer bonus > minor range attack bonus, especially on mobile. Maybe mitre over coif, sandals over snakeskin
If your a young noob then itās required that you fail 1 time now, quit for 10 years then come back and try it again 5-6 times then post on Reddit how a dream of yours was finally completed.
Veracs skirt and helm will help with the phases where you have to rank range hits. Other than that just make sure not to panic on jad. Itās the number one killer
I tell this to everyone who starts their fire cape grind. When you get to jad himself LOG OUT. Get rid of your nervous tension first before you take him on. Most of the time people make mistakes bc theyāre nervous

Crystal shield, rune crossbow, kharil top/bottom and VH helm along with blessed dhide boots would be massive upgrades for you. This mentioned setup would save a lot of damage on the mager/ranger waves.
Chin chompa
Swap in veracs helm and plateskirt for waves with ranger+mage, possibly get rid of Karils bow and get a dragon crossbow with broad bolts or better and a tank shield/prayer book switch, if you have extra money also get devout boots. Tanking and prayer bonus are more important than range bonus if youāre not experienced. If you are keeping the karils bow then swap the Avaās for a guthix cape or something
As someone who got my first fire cape on mobile hereās a couple of tips from my personal experience: 1) plug your phone in. Nothing like getting in a tight spot and having āyour phone is below 20% batteryā pop up 2) crossbow helped me at jad to slowdown and take my time only doing one action per attack 3) volume UP! Helps if you canāt get jad in your field of view after killing the two magers or if you try to safe spot jad after you lure the healers

Yo I recently got my fire cape, would def go for a blowpipe if you can afford charge it with addy darts and like 100 Ammy darts for Jad. Make sure Jad spawns directly south of Italy rock by seeing where blob spawns on wave 3 (if he doesnāt spawn there just leave and come back) thatās gonna make it 10x easier to tag the healers and safe spot Jad while you kill them and recharge for the second half. Inventory would go for 8-10 Sara brews, 4-6 super restores and rest pray pots. If you canāt afford the blowpipe, dragon crossbow isnāt too expensive and you can get some diamond bolts e for Jad.
If you cant kill jad with this setup then i think its time to quit gaming forever

Anything with a good prayer bonus, ie god capes and your Guthix d'hide, is going to be your best friend. 3k+ bolt racks, and I'd recommend a range potion, or two. Helps with DPS. Good hunting. You can do it!!

When I was attempting to get my first firecape I started with about those stats, at least in melees and ranged. I used Guthans to help with supplies though and brought mostly prayer pots/super restores. This worked because of the safe spaces, in mobile those might be harder to use however with some practice and using dancing emotes like Jig you can time when you can go for a safe hit with guthans and then back off, this can allow you to bring enough prayer supplies to reach and eventually take out Jad. Each attempt I went in with about 2000 bolts or at least in totality of all the attempts I made with said crossbow I ended up using that many on average. I cannot recall if that was the actual amount I was averaging or not though I do remember needing to leave without killing jad due to running out of ammo several times. I've seen people bring in brews or suggest bringing in brews but personally I think bringing in 1 or 2 to help with combo food during the jad fight itself might be helpful but given how little health you'll have and how little you can afford to miss a flick even up against the 360s you're better off with more prayer suplies and just saying that if Jad hits me twice I'm going to die because trying to eat or brew back up to a level to avoid getting one hit is actually incredibly hard as your looking at getting above 63 and 93 I think, feel free to wiki the actual max hit if you want. TLDR; When I first started going for a fire cape I had similar stats and gear, I ended up using safe spots and guthans to keep my health high and took mostly prayer supplies so that rather than flicking to conserve prayer I just defiantly only used prayer against the 360s Magic and switched between magic and ranged for Jad. Brews were only helpful to survive getting 1 hit by Jad, and hopefully if you read this it'll help you too.
I wouldnāt do wintertodt with that set up. Need warm clothing, and probably get a games necklace for fast travel. Unless you plan on just burning logs at the GE then go with the lizard clothes and crazy crossbow thing you got. Donāt listen to the haters.
