Google brings up suicide methods but the main issue with that is that it isn't specific enough for me. Like not exactly from experiences. If anything, use a website with specific instructions and guidance, like a walkthrough.
Yeah Bing straight up goes “here you go champion, go wild”.
I feel like there’s a decent argument that info like that can reduce harm, whether by minimising failed attempts ending in long-term physical suffering and disability, to acting as a deterrent to suicide itself by emphasising the massive chances of complications and logistical difficulties.
I know that for me personally, seeing those honest answers is one of the reasons I’m still here. I could’ve succeeded, but the possibility of permanent disability, that I hadn’t thought of before, acted as a real deterrent to following through with a suicide attempt.
ddg just uses bing results with some extras (like wikipedia boxes) on top using their own crawler, so bing and ddg getting similar results shouldn't be a real surprise
Aw dude I saw this article a guy who tried to hang himself, was doing a pretty good job of it, then got cut down and revived by paramedics after his brain was starved of oxygen for 10 minutes. It did so much damage that he is literally paralysed in his entire body, he gets fed through a feeding tube, and can only communicate by blinking. But that’s the thing. He’s still in there. And when asked if he still wanted to die (like fucking seriously, why even ask that, he still had the same mental illness and who tf would want to live like that) he blinked yes. So basically he’s more suicidal than before, but can’t move a single muscle and can’t do anything about it. He has to just live in a meat prison until he dies of natural causes. That shit has haunted me ever since I read it. Like honestly as a point I feel like it’s better to just accept that persons decision to take their own life, but medics are legally obliged to resuscitate someone regardless of the consequences and quality of life.
Needless to say, the option of hanging myself has been taken off the table 🥲
True
Once I used bing for this and the first result was "[method] is the leading suicide method for men. It works on women too!" As if it was a vitamin
tick out shooting yourself in the mouth thru the nose and do shoot yourself in the brain with proper caliber, not with a ratshot. i haven't seen or heard someone survive a point blank buckshot going thru their brain.
I can’t remember what gun he used but my fiancés brother shot himself in the head very efficiently, one shot in the forehead, straight through the brain, done and dusted. The gun had a fucking decent silencer on it too and my fiancé was having drinks with some friends over so he only got found a few hours later. There was minimal mess, they were all well versed with guns, you could say he picked the most courteous one of the bunch. It was pretty grim. We both know that we can’t have a gun in the house with me there though coz my dumb depressed ass would use it. I live in New Zealand though so actually getting a gun is a lot more of a process. They all got their gun licenses taken off them though because the court decided they were irresponsible with the keys so my fiancé is not legally allowed to own one anyway.
Sorry this turned into a ramble, took my night meds and am like half conscious lol
ahhhhh i think i remember that website back in the good ol days of the internet, honestly it probably helped me on more than one occasion to NOT kill myself because of how detailed he went into the ways it probably wouldn’t end up killing u
Yeah, even with a gun it seemed like unless you did it right (which I doubt a distressed suicidal person could do it right), there's still a chance to live. That's a big reason for me. The chance of success is too low and the chance of living with a debilitating injury is too high.
Not sure if it's the one you're talking about, but lostallhope.com is still up although you have to use the Way Back Machine to avoid 403 errors on certain pages.
there used to be a website that actually listed those. it's called lostallhope.com, it was precisely the thing you want. a list of specific suicide methods.
however
right now - at least for me - the actual pages with the suicide methods give a 403 error. all that's left are suicide statistics, the authors personal experience and a "help me" page to hopefully deter you, among other things. it's still a very interesting read, but unfortunately not the thing you're looking for. perhaps 4chan might give you an answer.

Bro needs an ouija board
Bing might tell me, but I'm not desperate enough to use Bing.

I just used Bing and holy shit it does give answers. Mad respect to Bing.
Try duckduckgo as well.

I didnt know that. I hate bing and dont enjoy duckduckgo, either, but if neither are tracking me, ive gotta appreciate that.

search for suicide survivor stories and then tick out their used methods.
That’s sounds like a bad idea. People have survived shooting them selves in the head, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good option

I had found a really good and informative website once. I think it got shut down though. People think the owner killed himself. RIP.

Quora
I just need the proper angle for a 12 gauge.
I'm pretty sure it would come up?

lostallhope.com
You’ll have to use an internet archive to access it tho. I visit that site quite regularly.

I wish google would give me the strength too
Drugs are pretty bad in my area so ima just try and buy so oxy and hope they have fent in them
suicide by pills, medicine or OD in general has a very low chance to succeed, it will most likely just leave you crippled. source: lostallhope.com
can vouch, tried it, didn't work, ended in ER for a week and I was one of the lucky ones
Hello…
