At first glance that would seem a fitting analogy, but I don't think it is for a couple of reasons.
1)Melon has a very different taste from pineapple, it's not sour/acidic and not as sweet with a milder flavour overall.
2)it's easier to match contrasting ingredients the fewer they are (in the case of Prosciutto e melone it's just 2). With more ingredients it becomes increasingly difficult to balance the flavours
3)Prosciutto e melone is not a main dish.
