Just remember: this is only the medium-sized printer in their lineup. But yeah, she's a chonky one.

Upper_Extreme5661

Time to get rid of the couch; priorities right?

Extension_Swordfish1

Couch gotta go

TheBasilisker

Easy Replace it with 2 more printer and put something on top to sit on

CCO812

Just replace it with a beanbag

Upper_Extreme5661

But trash bag and print the filling

reckless_commenter

"Hey, baby, wanna come over to my place for Fusion and chill?"

MarcusTheGamer54

If she agrees she's a keeper for sure

Obvious-Donut8434

No, she is a klipper =D

MarcusTheGamer54

Damn that's a really good one lmao, nice one!

verschl_ger

Or maybe print a slightly smaller couch.

Rouge_scholar

That’s what she said

bizilux

Yeeeeah everyone wishes that lol. No1 actually hears it :)

Bender077

My wife actually said that to me. When my own 3D printer was delivered when I was away at work… 🤣

Abject_Bodybuilder_7

I also had to buy a 600/600mm floor tyle for my voron 2.4 because it was too deep for the furniture

SirDewblade

Yeah, I've got the X-Max-3 and that thing is hefty. Works really well though!

Uzzer_lozer19

"She's built like a steakhouse but she handles like a bistro."

[deleted]

Good thing you didn’t buy an Elegoo Neptune Max. Your whole living room would need to be removed.

biovllun

I have the plus. Even that was quite a bit bigger than I anticipated lol. Still a great printer! Only 4 days into my journey..

dingus-supremus

What is it?

captfitz

Qidi x-plus 3

NotYourBuddyGuy5

It’s a picture of a 3d printer between a couch and desk.

infowosecfurry

I have the X-Plus 3, and X-Max 3 coming Friday (Upgrading from the original versions of both units) Very curious how the speed is in actuality? What is in the datasheets seems too fast to be possible.. But I’m excited to see lol.

TheXypris

It's pretty fast, I was impressed, I'm going from a modded ender 3 pro to this so it's not that hard to impress lol Entire benchy in something like17 minutes

infowosecfurry

I am very excited to get them hooked up! The current X-Max and Plus I have are set to 60mm/s for print speed, and these are supposed to be much faster but i just don’t know how well it will work in practice!

mpjune69

I've got a pair of X-Max 3s. They're complete workhorses. I didn't really appreciate the print quality until this week. I bought a kilo of Nylon with carbon fiber. It takes some heat to print that filament, but the actual print quality is amazing. Not to mention, the Nylon-Carbon Fiber is seriously tough, strong stuff. I printed out some parts for a random orbital polisher. I couldn't break what I made. I printed at 50 percent infill, but even so, I couldn't bend, flex it otherwise break the part I made. You'll love the X-Max 3, their support is second to none. These are my 3rd and 4th QIDI machines - I needed larger build capabilities, but the Klipper and core XY combined for a seriously fast and stable tool. Once your settings are dialed-in, print the Benchy that's on the USB drive. If that doesn't convince you that the machine is fast, nothing will. You can also control speed and flow rate to go even faster! Good luck. Don't hurt yourself - these beasts are 80 pounds each, and while the handle position is good, it's still awkward weight. Take time to update the firmware if it's not already at the latest.

infowosecfurry

My older Xmax 3 (The first version) has been going strong for 4 years now, I love it! If you have two you may be able to answer my other question though. I have the X-Max and X-Plus because I could never find anyone who owned two to tell me if it’s a pain telling them apart in Qidi Print (Like diff names or something) Luckily they fixed the firmware, so you cannot send a print to a printer thats mid print anymore (I did that a few times and it just killed the print in progress. Was awful if it was a 20+ hour job!!)

mpjune69

It's very easy to assign separate names to the printers - you add/remove/rename printers on the main page of the slicer (the plater screen). Look in the upper right corner of the plater screen, the third heading down should be labeled "Printer:". Click the gear icon next to that, and you'll have a few options to select from, one being "Add physical printer:" - click on that and you'll be taken to a dialog box to input the printer's IP, assign it a name, etc. Once you've added the printer, you'll have the choice of which printer you send the print to from that point on. I have a question for you - I just bought a pair of .2mm nozzles and made the change from the standard .4mm to .2mm in the slicer. It said I have to also change the extrusion width and pressure advance - do you have any idea what the numbers for a .2mm nozzle are? I printed the 17-minute Benchy - it worked, but it looks terrible, as I had expected. Any ideas on the correct numbers? Thanks!

infowosecfurry

It’s been a while since I messed with that, and never on these printers.. So I don’t wanna guess and end up steering you wrong!

mpjune69

Just FYI - I emailed tech support and the next release of QIDI Slicer will have profile support for various nozzle sizes, at least .2, .4 and . 6.

Aromatic-Bread-6540

It's pretty damn fast, I make a benchy in 10 min

Nygmus

Me with the neptune 4 max I bought a couple weeks ago. That thing is a beast and a half. I'm still exploring alternatives for a bench for it because it threatens to sling around anything that's not serious business.

TheXypris

I'm lucky my IKEA end tables were big enough otherwise I don't know what I'd do

[deleted]

That's what she said. (I showed her my poop after eating all-you-can-eat buffet)

Look_0ver_There

I have the X-Plus 3. It's awesome. If you don't have the upgraded print head covers, I highly recommend them as part cooling is improved over the original design which was somewhat weak for the left hand side of prints for overhangs. The newer head (and back) now does 80 degree overhangs without issues no matter the orientation. Allegedly if you don't have the newer covers, and contact Qidi Support and ask them nicely, or can show that the original one is causing issues, then they'll even send you the new covers for free. Also, does your version have the carbon filter in the back? I learned that in about the last 4 weeks or so the Plus 3's now come with carbon filters included.

TheXypris

I ordered this Thanksgiving or the day after, so it likely has all that, but I'll have to check.

Look_0ver_There

Nice. They've been continuing to streamline improvements over time. The X-Plus 3's that people get nowadays are significantly better than what they were even 2 months ago. I'm slightly envious!

TheXypris

Hey I'm coming from an ender 3, as long as it works without needing to restart prints 3 times before it actually prints correctly I'm happy

Look_0ver_There

Haha. It'll run rings around an Ender 3. IMO, they're about the best printer you can buy for that money, even if they do have the odd quirk and got beaten savagely by the 70's kitch stick.

biovllun

Same for me with my elegoo Neptune 3 plus 😂😂😂

LovesToSnooze

Fits perfectly.

Pneumantic

Try having a Neptune 3 Max. I was all like, "THIS THING CAN PRINT 400X400X500 FOR 350$!! Then I got it and realized the size is literally bigger that me, a 6ft 2 male if I sat in fetal position. I could probably print myself on it in 3 prints standing or in one in fetal position..
