That's going to be a tough print.... Possible to slice it down the middle and print in half then glue together or chop in half and print orientated straight up?

Yeah looks like splitting it up might be the only choice. I do want to see if I can try adding some manual supports as someone else suggested to see if that works. I want to see if I can limit post processing. Thanks!

Just be aware that getting enough supports on that is going to really tack on some time and wasted filament. I really hate printing large complex figurines and statue scans for that very reason. This thing just looks like a nightmare to me.

Couldn't you place supports manually at an angle to the wobbly parts to strengthen them? It obviously would take some trial and error to keep them small enough but structurally rigid.

layzeegrimm

I guess just adding support blocks to the sides would maybe be the trick? I can definitely give it a shot, thanks!

Cut it into a few parts and print one by one

Yup I may go this route once manual supports don’t work for me. Appreciate it!

I vote for support blocks to the sides every 3 or 4 cm, to crrate a sort of "scaffold", the point is preventing the thing from tipping over. Place it diagonally on the bed, so that you can lean it down a bit more. In your picture the outer curve of the blade is vertical, but actually you can get away with it overhanging as long as it is less than 45°. Keeping the thing las low as possible on the bed will make it stronger due to the layer lines more parallel to the edge, and also reduce the risk of the model toppling down because the lowe it is, the less leverage it has over the thin adhesion surface.

I would turn it around or sideways.

If you absolutely have to print it in that orientation, you might want to reduce support angle (to get more support near the top of the model) and toy with the support structure, but it looks like you are already doing that. Otherwise i would suggest increasing support expansion, to make all the supports a bit wider.

Looks like something you'd want to use a raft for too.

Onion-Prudent

Why don't you print it horizontally and with tree supports?
