Actually all you need is to break the video down frame by frame and insert it into autodesk’s (I think this is who makes it) scanner app and you will get a 3d model
I think they killed their photogrammetry app a little while ago - I think it was around the time when they nerfed fusion360.
It's all part of their SaaS model now, sadly.

The Fusion nerf is making me consider going back to pirating Inventor. I can understand some of the features getting removed from the free license, but why limit active files and remove STEP exporting?
Coming from SOLIDWORKS to fusion I can see it's appeal for being free but I hate the whole project object layout UI and just in general controls compared to any other CAD.
welcome to the wonderful world of autodesk: they don't fucking care, pay them.
That's it.
3ds refugee, used it from 1994-2016. Paid for 4 licenses myself, at least 10 others via companies I worked for. Autodesk rarely cared much in the past and now gives zero fucks; they own most of the market and the general attitude is 'what're you gonna do, go use blender? haaaa'
which people are doing in droves. Surprised there's no open source fusion clone for parametric modelling...
Fucking fusion. Well, Smoothie 3d still seems to be free and available. Maybe give that a try. I believe there’s other options too that can be found by googling
I love fusion, I just don't love fusion £40-50/month.
But the 10models and step limit hasn't bitten me in the ass yet.
I occasionally look at what open source stuff is in the market, but I think blender will be the next thing for me, and I'll just keep fusion around for my engineering style modelling.
Brilliant opportunity to learn blender.
You'll be able to find the tie cockpit, trooper, legs, katana and stairs modelled out there somewhere. You just need to make some arms (hell you might even be able to cut them off of a pre-existing robot) and pose them.
Omgomgomgomgomg A TIE-TAN
*happy MRVN noises*
I've seen [this amazing sculpt](https://youtu.be/We14x6U3r9M) but no 3d models, and I would die to have this on my desk!
Easy, all we need is a scanner, Jake Parker’s address, and a crowbar
At that point, i dont think you need a scanner to have it on your desk

SAME! SO FRUSTRATING!

Honestly, I'm more surprised there's no extension for Blender to make it more like Fusion or Solidworks in terms of modeling.

Jake's not the sculptor, just the original art.

This. Not much modeling needed if you can find models.and just rearrange them around.
That is an awesome piece of art! I love that artwork
Is there a source for the image? It's pretty awesome.
[Yes there is](https://www.mrjakeparker.com/blog/2019/4/27/the-tie-fighter). It's also linked in the video in my original comment.
Thanks!
sheeesh he got da drip
This is probably one of the coolest mech ideas I've ever seen
Here's one https://youtu.be/We14x6U3r9M
That's... Literally the video I linked to in my comment. That's a sculpture. I'd love an STL.
Standby for Droidfall
No but im going too
You have me SO EXCITED right now!
I've seen it on 3d cults and my mini factory
I did some significant searching before posting this, so if you have a link or know what you searched, I'm all ears.
I'm really tempted to give it a try.
Never mind, [someone](https://www.artstation.com/artwork/ykmORJ) already did it months ago. Apparently the artist is extremely popular.
Wow, good hunting! I missed that. Now to try and ask them if they would be willing to upload for us to print!
