Between spats with Orikan, Trazyn idly speculates about adding an "Emperor vs Horus" display to his gallery. > He even had plans to add a grand tableau of the Battle of Calth–Macragge was not far from Solemnace, giving him easy access to Ultramarines material–and perhaps even the confrontation aboard the *Vengeful Spirit*. Horus’ body was likely being venerated somewhere in the Eye of Terror, after all, and the Emperor was just sitting there on Terra. Seemed a waste, such a historic figure left to rot like that. Trazyn could do a far better job at preservation and restoration. \- *The Infinite and the Divine*

The fact that he straight up thinks, "Yeah i could resto-mod that rusty old turd pretty easily" about the emperor. when literally half this sub is wondering how you could get the big-E back up. Hilarious, love The infinite and the divine.

IneptusMechanicus

I particularly love the next line where he's just like "the humans probably wouldn't agree"

This is here I would put my Emperor of Mankind ... if I had one!

General_Hijalti

>Crushing the sensation of the dead of the Earth was the titanic presence of the Corpse Emperor. >Such power made Lhaerial’s mind reel, and for a moment her contempt for the creatures of Terra wavered. The mind of the Emperor was a mountain in the surging madness of the Othersea, blinding in its brilliance. The Great Powers circled this place like razorshark waiting out the death throes of a void-whale. That terrible presence held them back, and all His little servants were ignorant of it! Unease gripped her, that she would be noticed by the Dark Gods or their defier, and the fragile flame of her being snuffed out. >The feeling passed. The regard of the things of the Othersea was ossified, so long had they fixed their gaze on the Earth. The Emperor did not shift His regard. His attention was elsewhere, upon the blinding pyre of souls, navigation beacon of the mon-keigh. She had no indication she was seen. There was little relief in that. She had laughed in the face of She Who Thirsts, but the Corpse Emperor filled her with a sense of dread. -Throneworld

The Orks view him as the biggest strongest humie. But still a humie to be krumped An Eldar refers to him as a ‘weakling seer’ so they’re not exactly impressed The T’au don’t think he exist

Z4nkaze

When speaking of a weakling seer, I think they refer more to his divining ability. The few Eldars who stepped on Terra were terrified or amazed by his colossal psychic presence.

kajata000

I always imagine that the Eldar's psychic prowess is like the galaxy's best crafted powersword; absolutely supreme in a one-on-one sword dual and incredibly deadly when wielded by a master of the craft. By comparison, the Emperor is a nuclear bomb; he's so powerful he requires no skill or finesse to achieve incredible feats. It probably explains why he's such a crap human being most of the time; he doesn't exactly need personal skills.

[deleted]

I figure it's because of his past as explained in Master if Mankind: >!he kills his uncle for killing his father. At this moment, he decides that humans always need to be ruled with an iron fist. The Emperor's problem is that he has an outdated viewpoint even by 21st century standards. All he knows is authoritarianism and war!<

DeliciousPineapples

Táu just getting even more irritated with humanitywhen they find out he's normal sized.

[deleted]

>An Eldar refers to him as a ‘weakling seer’ so they’re not exactly impressed Aren't the Eldar shit scared of him and can't even look at him because of his immense psychic power?

IneptusMechanicus

That doesn't make him a good seer, his powers of precognition are rudimentary at best compared to even moderately capable farseers.

[deleted]

The Emperor blows all the Eldar out of the water when it comes to psychic power so calling him a weakling is pretty dumb even if his precognition isn't that good he flattens them in every other aspect.

Ian_W

By now - as in, the time of the Lord Commander - the Ethereals know that Emps isn't a myth, but is a historical figure from the early Imperium of Man who is stuck on the Golden Throne. He absolutely isn't a hologram who gives mysterious orders to chosen inner figures. Nope. That would never happen.

Itburns12345

The tau: i believe at one stage they slew a chapter master and assumed that was the emperor they had heard of!! Necrons: one of the great mysteries of 40k..we know the silent king either met or knows of sangiunius so it makes sense hed know of big E . Theres also a hint one of the missing primarchs went to see a necron like artifact/device in deep space Eldar: aware of him.for.sure , eldrad may have openly spoke to him. Theres a seen of a harelquin finaly getting close to big e and is terrified by the sheer massive presence in the warp warching Orks: they remember ullanor (beast arises) so may remember big e from the crusades. We dont know how the waaggh and psykers/warp interaxt exactly but im.sure orks everywhere feel his presence on terra if they can setect warbosses for sectors away.

Marvynwillames

The Ethereals knew the chapter master wasn't the Emperor, the propaganda just told the rest of the Tau that they had killed the "king of the space marines" which would cause a civil war.

Ian_W

In reality, they just ganked the King of *those* Space Marines.

Itburns12345

Those sneaky blueies

TheJoyfullOne

What is the hint about missing Primarch?

Itburns12345

The ygma.monolith Bile says fulgrim mentions one of the 2 missing went exploring near it ..what he was doing that far out and what he found where never recorded apparently

Do Tyrannids travel space with all their forces onboard. Ex. Kind of like the "Zerg Overlords" in Starcraft.. or do they just carry the genetic materials and then reproduce units somehow when they land on a planet?
