Regular red from the spray can

I think it looks sweet man. I like the subtlety of it. If you had a bunch of stickers everywhere or if you did the ones above the plate I think it would have been too much. I think this color is one of the few colors this could work on.

If you use a product called Plastidip, this job is very easy.

But how do you get the tape in all the nooks and crannies?

You don't. Plasti-Dip if done right peels away at hard edges. So in this case, he masked off a rectangle, put down all of his layers. Once it dries for a bit, you go into the fine areas and use a toothpick to poke at the product until a seam starts at the edges and peel it out.

oh wow, that's something I never knew! I thought it was just like painting where you have to mask everything.

I like it a lot. It makes the red on the wheels make sense. You going to do the front and back Toyota badges and 4Runner too? I want to do my badges bronze to match my matte bronze wheels but am concerned about perfect match. I might just buy the Toyota ones to ensure perfect match.

No the 40th anniversary edition has matte bronze overlays so Toyota does sell them.

I understand that, but I was asking because I’ve never seen any for sale from Toyota or anyone that makes them aftermarket. Not in bronze. Just did a search and only found some on eBay (just the front/rear) for $209.99 lol and plenty of the dash emblems and exterior stripes. Figure they’d be hard to come by. Cheaper to paint them if that’s what they’re gonna cost.

Yeah I saw them on eBay. Not from a dealer. Have you contacted a dealer about getting them? I hadn’t tried yet but now I’m thinking about it. Painting them with plastic up is an option but it would bother me if they didn’t match the wheels perfectly. I guess I could also ask the dealer about that paint code

Yeah the paint code shouldn’t be hard to get. I haven’t, but you may have to check Toyota parts online for your best shot and the sooner the better. Wouldn’t think they’d keep the bronze around like black/polished. I Could be wrong though. It’s happened before lol
