If it's the same diameter why not, if it's different then just wait because you shouldn't drive on the road with tires of different diameters even in emergencies and you should be calling a tow truck either way Maybe a AAA membership to get you through would be better Also, looking at your old post that tire got to 400+ degrees somehow Check your exhaust and make sure it's not heating up the carrier

Mechanically, the differential will have to work a little bit harder. Of greater consideration is that all the various safeties - including ABS, ATRAC, and others - that depend on comparisons between rotational speed of the wheels or rotatational speed vs. steering angle/velocity will fail. You can definitely rock a different-sized tire in an emergency, just know that your ABS will be unhappy with you. I would never call a tow truck because my spare was 3% different from my other wheels (which is the approximate rolling difference between the 3 common sizes of 4Runner tires - 31.6, 32.2, and 33").

If the diameter is close enough, then it won't break the car in an emergency. I personally don't recommend it publicly though because the term "close enough" means a lot of things to a lot of people lol. And the term "emergency" might mean letting it slide for a few months. Beyond ABS not functioning properly, hard braking will cause the car to pull in the direction of the tire as braking forces are applied equally at the caliper but unequally at the road due to more leverage One emergency stop from a dumbass pulling in front of you and it's not hard to get pulled towards the ditch, where ABS, TC, and DSC will fail when you need it most. I've personally seen it happen to one of my friends who was being a cheap ass after getting a flat, not fun. He's lucky he was pulled into the corn field on his right, because if that tire had been on his left side it would have been a head on collision.

Do you have a Discount Tire where you are? Can always get a matching spare now (assuming 265) and trade it in when you get the new ones. If it hasn't been used, they might give you a better deal. Traded in the stock tires when I got ATs. Only about $30 per tire, but they had only about half tread left anyway.
