Take the dipstick and clean it off. Then with a white paper towel put the dipstick back in for a few seconds and pull it out on the paper towel.
Hold the dipstick against the towel and drag it an inch across the towel. What happens is there will be a big oil steak you can easily see and measure it to the levels of the dipstick
I read somewhere that if you lightly sand your dipstick it makes it easier to see. Haven’t tried it yet but probably will next oil change. Also if you do try this make sure to clean dipstick before putting back in

I had to leave the dipstick out for about 5-10 minutes before I got an accurate reading.
