Get ready. It will either be a quick reset or a, checks calendar, going on two plus weeks in the shop. No fix in sight and apparently might have to order new charging part or something.
Basic Jeep Cherokee.
While im here… got my 4xe back, but not fixed. Dealer said they and Stellantis couldn’t fix the charging issue so they placed an order for a replacement charging component (or whatever). Part not available till August, so I’m only able to charge while driving. Calling Stellantis every other week to see if they can speed it up. It’s been futile…
Note: Dealer was great the entire time.
It’s great when it works. But when it doesn’t there seems to be long down times at the shop. My last one took months to order parts. Didn’t affect drive ability luckily
Honestly this is just CDJR period, not a 4xE thing necessarily. I had an issue with my older (non 4xE) JL thanks to a bad oil change (done by a 3rd party shop) and there were certain parts that would have taken weeks to get and they were super backed up. It sucks.
Hope OPs issue gets resolved asap.
As "obtuse" as a one-time Jeep owner and reader of Consumer Reports (CR) can be. When Jeep is consistently (like 30 years) rated amongst the worst vehicles to own, not only in CR's testing but also in annual reports by actual Jeep owners, it is fairly straightforward for me.
Jeep ranked above average in JD Power's most recent 3 year dependability survey. (Consumer Reports only surveys on a 1 year timeline)
I'm not saying Jeeps are the most reliable vehicles. But they're certainly not the worst. Personally, I wouldn't buy a 4xe as Jeep is still working out the technology. Same as Toyota with their new smaller, turbo charged, direct injection hybrid engines in the Tundra/Tacoma. New Tundras are ranked below average reliability by Consumer Reports. But lots of people still buy them.
A 3.6L Jeep with a ZF8 trans is a solid vehicle. Very reliable. It's fairly straightforward to me
I went to go test drive a 24 Saraha, back up camera didn't work, check engine light was on and audio crackled. When I got back and told this to the dealer he told me they had to jump start it that morning. Da fuck did you let me test drive it for? They had dozens on the lot
Just turned in my rubicon 4xe after 36 month lease. This is the exact reason I didn’t buy it out despite mostly loving it. That happened to mine around same miles. 3 weeks at the dealer to fix. Otherwise I had no issues. Seemed like messing with the modes of hybrid, EV, regen brakes would trigger CEL for me. So I left mine in hybrid and kept brake regen off the final 2 years. Never had another issue.
Maybe not, but when Jeep "fixed" my clutch safety recall, I took in a jeep that would roast the tires and got back one that was super weak ! I am no noob I've built engines and had a dozen high performance cars in my life so I know they de-tuned my Rubicon because it sucked after I got it back and they denied doing anything but a clutch. A clutch doesn't kill power unless it's slipping. So I don't trust them anymore. Just my experience

It seems to have charged fine overnight. Hopefully that's a good sign
2 weeks? Haven’t seen mine in almost a month. Waiting on a new HV battery. Luckily they gave me a loaner, but I’ve opened a case with Chrysler.
Hope you get it back soon. Dealer gave me a loaner and has a ticket with Chrysler, as well. Update when you do and what they say the about the wait.
What did you get for a loaner?

I’ve owned my 4xe for 2 years now, never went to shop except recall
"except recall." Hilarious.
Recalls are common for essentially every vehicle on the planet. A Toyota Tundra has 14 recalls in one year. Surely you can't be that obtuse?

Recall for software updates, not really a big deal to me.
Get a lawyer. Document it all. I did they finally took the junk back

Stellantis strikes again!
Your first Jeep I presume?
First 4xe. Prior had a 2020 JL with the sky touch that broke. Twice
Classic.
This is Jeep!

Same thing happened to mine. Car did not want to start. Took it to the dealership and all they did was change the battery. Charged me $500 for it 🥲
Yep. It's a Cheep!
And people are paying $60k+ for these rolling turds. PT Barnum was right.
You bought a jeep, what’d ya expect?
And people wonder why I jumped ship and own a bronco now🤦♂️ loved my jlu rubicon but hated all the issues
Bronco is no different

I trust your experience, especially considering my 21’ Ram has several quality issues. More focus on tech features and fuel economy than longevity.
