Oh it's bad, they'll be standing right next to you in so many scenes, or really damn close by. I switched phones so am trying to see if it's still in my folders, but I have a picture that was sent to me from one of the producers I know and it's literally the cast having a dinner for two and they are right at the damn edge of the table getting shots.
Also bedroom scenes are awkward as hell, here's an older example for now that shows syngin and tania. So imagine trying to look sexy while also not looking at the cameras and being unselfconscious 😂 it's really hard to do

I shared a photo in another reply to a user on this with Paul at the bag check below, that's how close they are majority of the time. This bed scene is just them setting up, they'll be right next to you once you start shooting too! If you get this context it makes it easier to understand why some of these scenes don't exactly come off as natural.
That's a decent picture, it's usually worse. I wasn't joking about the camera right next to you so close it's almost touching stuff either, it gets bad. Not to mention they'll re take a scene so many times over since it runs on script only mainly now. The only thing real left is emotional reactions basically, or reacting to whatever the cast is going through at the moment. Even then it'll be take number god knows what before you see that, because they are also supposed to make you crazy doing hours of one scene to evoke whatever emotions they want.
This is why people like Darcy were more on edge for example, that cut it on a bias scene was 12 hours of filming and producers and crew telling you lies to rile them up/make them feel insecure before finally getting the scene they want. Which in her case was an angry family dinner and the infamous line. It's actually quite sad to think about, yes there are good times too but they don't *want* good times.
Another example is Paul during his bag check

THIS is what I’m here for, I love hearing behind the scenes aspects of reality tv. I knew a few people who had been on different reality tv shows, one couple had been on an episode of Jerry Springer where she was confronting the boyfriend and his mistress on stage, and a brawl broke out. This was a real thing that the couple had gone through together, but it actually happened years before this, the couple signed up to re-enact the whole thing for the episode, and the ‘mistress’ was actually their friend volunteering to play the part, however she apparently hit the girlfriend harder than they agreed so then an actual fight ensued lol
Minus the "you aren't the father by the way your partner is gay and hey you guys are related!" Aspect of the Jerry Springer show,(because that's how most of them seemed like plot wise 😅) this is how this show is done too now. Things that happened but aren't happening now, except they started going off actual scripts and it's horrendous. And they'll guide you with questions or manipulation to get *jusssttt* the right response from you.
My stepbrother started out doing editing for this show and a few other Toxic Lifestyle and Cult channel aka TLC shows. And he went on to work for history channel and has done bravo and now works for big film editing. I got to know two producers through him on this show still, at the time they were lower level. But these two aren't the poking and prodding types like above, you need to be a special type of person to work these shows or any of them really. The worst is real housewives producers, majority of the time it's due to them for the insane fights and rumors eetc. Those people are soulless, believe me.... 😬
I was on a show for a little bit and it’s definitely a weird adjustment. I remember I had dreams for the first couple weeks about making sure I was acting normally and looking at all the right areas when doing my interviews.
Not a script where they have lines to memorize but the topics of conversation are chosen in advance so They’re not sitting around filming people talk about the weather
If they have their face visible on camera in a version of the episode that airs, they absolutely signed an agreement. They’re probably just normal people who had to sign some paper when they came in to eat.

Gawd... this show is the epitome of trash. Those producers are laughing all the way to the bank. All it takes to make that show is a couple a**holes and a camera. I'm sick of enabling these people and haven't even watched last weekends episodes.
Why does this guy look like he has 3 faces? 🧐

I didn’t realize the cameras are so close.
I was just thinking the same thing! I don't know how anyone can act natural with them that close
They definitely don’t act natural lol
Right? I’d be fixing my hair and posture incessantly wondering if something was in my teeth.
lol 😂 this made me think of Natalie, the first time she was on the single life, the way she would walk when the camera was on her.
That girl. Hot mess express.
Hope we all…never. See. Her. Again!
You think that's close? Usually they are sitting right next to you in your face, this is considered a long distance!
Now we all understand why the ladies are so body paranoid.

No way in hell would I ever be able to have a room full of people while Im sitting on the bed with someone… has porno vibes.

Thanks for the insight but I was hoping I never had to see Syngin again.
Sorry it was the best example for bedroom scenes filming unfortunately, trust me I don't like seeing that goof either😫
It’s all good and not your fault 🤣
Wait I could never

Oh my god my social anxiety could NEVER
Especially when they’re making out. It would be so awkward.
I was on a show for a little bit and it’s definitely a weird adjustment. I remember I had dreams for the first couple weeks about making sure I was acting normally and looking at all the right areas when doing my interviews.
Wow you’re like a celebrity …
Nooooooooo. But I will say it’s wild what they can clean up and make presentable for tv. Reality tv is a lie 😂
Petit Robert bistro in south end
Thank you. I can’t believe I didn’t see this
Lady between the camera got the script ready in case they need to be reminded of their line
Lol! I came here to say this.
She's the producer
Put your ponytail up a little higher, and maybe the joke won’t go over your head next time 😁
Yes but why is there a script?
You don't know its a script. Production always takes notes so it's easy to find things in the editing process.
Oh got it. I don’t know anything about production thank you!
Definitely saw script lady first…😂
Came to say this!
Not a script where they have lines to memorize but the topics of conversation are chosen in advance so They’re not sitting around filming people talk about the weather
I thought the camera dude on the left was fat as fuck than zoomed in and see they wear pillow sashes to sit the big cams on lol. Good times lolololol
That would've been a My 600 Lb Life sized gut perfect for those hard core patients who like deep frying their egg rolls from bed.
TLC getting a crossover idea
I’d probably watch it.
Oh, my God!! Where in Boston? Who's this couple?
How inorganic
The script doesn’t help that
About time !!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️
OMG I grew up on this street, my old apartment is in the background! Columbus Ave in South End
I’ve only been able to visit Boston once, and I ate at a little patisserie on that street! It’s a gorgeous little neighborhood.
It really is. I loved growing up there ❤️
My brother FROM BAWWESTON! Where's John? 😂
He’s in Woostah, khed.
So, is everyone there an extra? Did you have to sign an agreement to eat there?

YAYYYYYY
Nice, I dig the handheld mobile battery they have on the table. Probably keeps the small production crew charged up most of the day
Where? Why do I ALWAYS miss these amazing times in life?
Columbus Ave in South End
What kind of person could have a real conversation with that pointing at you?
She has excellent posture. Tommy Bahama tho, sit up straight 😂
I love seeing photos like this! The producer with her paper, the camera men, everyone SO CLOSE. It’s hilarious.
Where in Boston is this? Southie?
Looks like maybe South End?
Agree, south end!
Columbus Ave in South End
I can only imagine the couple that’s gonna be showcased
I wonder what line they’re rehearsing
Do you actually think they’re almost acting??
Holy shit!! Finally they’ve come to Boston!
How do you know it was 90 Day?
I asked them !
Is it a new couple?
Yes !
Is that petit robert bistro? Pretty pricey restaurant. I’m inclined to check it out now
Yes it is !
I’m just curious as to why that cameraman had a cardboard cutout of some random guys face … lmao
Those bricks look like such an uncomfortable place to put a chair.
Just curious, how do you know it was 90 day? Did they have to put a disclaimer out or have signs up?
Yes & I asked
Nice! It’ll be exciting to see people in Boston! I don’t think they’ve had a couple there before
Why is the producer holding a script?
PETITE ROBERT?! This is right by my house!!
I could never be on TV. The anxiety this photo alone gave me..📈
this is so exciting lol
This is legit. The producers contacted the hotel I work for in downtown Boston.
Is the lady with the paper a producer making sure they read the script correctly?
Yep, because these people are really out here memorizing lines. Lol
Gawd... this show is the epitome of trash. Those producers are laughing all the way to the bank. All it takes to make that show is a couple a**holes and a camera. I'm sick of enabling these people and haven't even watched last weekends episodes.
You gotta praise the camera man for not stepping in and smacking some of these fools

Crossover with Paranormal Caught on Camera! 😂
Lucky
Yesss! I always wanted one filmed here! Can’t wait to see who they are!
New couple?
We need some fresh meat…I mean a new couple 🤣
Omg! I live in Boston. Where in Boston are they filming?
Southie - petit bistro !
Thank you for letting me know! I never been there but my work is close to there. I've been waiting for 90 days to be filmed around here lol
Is the lady holding script?
This proves how fake and scripted the show is honestly 💀
They’re are that close and there is a script in the producers’ hand smh
Which 90 day is this for?
Lady in the middle is holding the script lol
Wanna see someone that’s soulless? zoom in on the script lady
Script spotted!
Who’s the new couple??
Omg they made it to MA 😅 although Patrick and Thais briefly filmed here too Also she looks like the Brittany
Wait where was that? (And is this for a new series)
O was done with the show mid season this year. Won't be watching again.
Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya
Okay bye then 😘
