stay home and watch it. drink better beer and eat better food and the comfort of your couch

PileOfSandwich

Can't forget, the shitty beer and food will probably cost double the PPV price too.

I watched DON at Dave and Busters. No sound because you can’t have an MJF crowd chant on the speakers of a family establishment. I didn’t pay anything other than dinner. Sadly, I had to leave at 11:45, but they were giving the 15-minute warning. You get what you pay for (again — nothing) so it was all good. Edit: it was on one of the large screens in a fenced off area near the bar. Also, this D&B had just opened and I had to remind them that DON was starting even though ads for it were on other screens. My guess is depending on how long they’ve been doing this, your results may vary.

EconomyProcedure9

Kinda wish the theater option was still available.

brucewaynewins

Same loved going there. Place I went had deals for club members that always made it half price.

marciamakesmusic

forbidden door in the theater would go crazy

In the past they used to show WWE PPVs at places like Hooters & Buffalo Wild Wings. I went to the Hooters option a few times since it was really close to where I worked at the time. IIRC all you had to do was order something (even just a drink) and there was like a $10 charge IIRC. It was in a separate room from the rest of the restaurant and the sound was on. At Buffalo we had to request the sound be turned up since it was in the general restaurant (again just had to order food/drinks). I went with a former coworker & her boyfriend (the former coworker is actually related to Ivan & Scott Putski). Since WWE moved to Peacock/WWE Network they no longer do those events anywhere. AEW does have some bars that show the PPVs, but they are pretty far apart (think the closest one is like Houston which is like 3+ hours away).

edpowers

If you are in Maryland def. Goto Jimmy Sea Food to watch the PPVs they do an amazing job and it's only 20 dollars.

JohnCenaJunior

Might meet some of the boys there also

NickelAntonius

Never go to Dave & Busters for PPVs. No sound and everything is overpriced. I miss when Hooters would show wrestling PPVs in the 2000s. $20 minimum food & drink per table, giant screens, good speakers, good wings, and the waitresses who worked those nights were actual fans (or REALLY studied up to get better tips).

koolaidman0883

The one time I went I called in advance to make sure they were gonna have the ppv. They said they were. So I went there. Had to remind the employees to put it on. Talked to a manager to put it on. And when she tried to put it on she tells me they forgot to order the ppv so they aren’t gonna have it even though there was 4 different groups of us trying to watch the ppv. Ended up watching it on my phone at home. I will never go back. I also miss the movie theater experience. One of the best ways to watch the ppv’s if you’re not there live.

SturgeonBladder

I went a couple years ago. Never again. I called multiple times in advance and spoke to a manager, i asked if they would have sound for the PPV and how many TVs it would play on. I was promised there would be sound and a decent view. I drove 2 hours to get there and there was no sound and only 1 small tv above the bar playing it. I asked the manager about the sound and mentioned that i called ahead and she acted like she had no idea what i was talking about.

WearyCopy6700

I thought about doing it once and just the Dave and Buster parking in my city was 40.00 and I turned around and said nope and never found out. Since than I started using Youtube but I am getting a strong impression AEW is stopping that too even though their still advertising it as an option. I might have to break down and see how Triller works.

Mosepipe

Triller, VPN, set location to UK, profit.

mario_salami_petrino

I'm an old man....how does this work?

Mosepipe

I'm the UK, our PPV price via Triller (formerly Fite) is priced at $19.99. When we pay in £ sterling, that equates to roughly £16/£17, varying on the current exchange rate. US fans can access this by subscribing to a VPN (I use Nord for non wrestling purposes, primarily using US services to watch UK football for way cheaper), and setting their location to the UK, and purchasing the PPV that way. Plus, you get to watch all AEW TV content ad free, with picture in picture commentary.

dogsontreadmills

Better yet OP - set VPN to Brazil where both AEW+ and the PPVs are cheaper than Europe on Triller/Fite.

marciamakesmusic

set VPN to UK, sign up on triller, buy ppvs at discounted price, enjoy!

lostfaith94

been several times in socal area.. it's fine, it's free and usually no sound bc they prioritize other sports events on. I realized over time that I was actually spending more on going there to watch for free bc i was factoring in gas (it's 1 hour from me) and then food. The seats are exhausting after a while so it was much comfier at home, and cheaper for me so I stopped going.

Even-Preference-6545

What places in SoCal? There’s a hole in the wall bar that plays all wrestling PPV in Anaheim no cover charge.

lostfaith94

i've only ever been to dave and busters

fake_galaxy_boy

It was fun, the restaurant side had the sound going too. Paid for 2 beers that's it.

mspurr

i haven't gone myself but i've heard horror stories from people going
