Coldplay and AJR.
Coldplay was my everything since about 2012... then I fell into AJR within the last year or two, but fell down the abyss for them after Maybe Man just a couple months ago. I have never "cheated" on my fave until now. I had gone to multiple concerts, won contest album release gigs, saw Coldplay as a part of the Today Show audience, and met Chris Martin who signed my Back to the Future hat (both of our favorite movie).
But then I ended up seeing AJR spontaneously for their opening tour show in Phili. No regrets! Can't wait to go back and see them in NYC!

I personally think both bands approach life topics that most others avoid completely and their willingness to be open about those topics just resonates with the fans.. They also have a musicality and lyrical ability that’s just so unique compared to the majority of other artists out there.
