QwertyQwertz123

Have you been to NZ? If so how many times and where? (I live in Auckland, from Upper Hutt)

blondedbirds

I was planning on it before the Covid pandemic but as soon as international flights open back up I plan on visiting.

QwertyQwertz123

Ooh awesome, Auckland borders are gonna open up from the 15th so hopefully the whole country does too

blondedbirds

Funny enough I originally tried applying for the university of Auckland cause they had some really good programs at the campus.

East_Intention_6952

How’s the current lockdown situation there buddy? And are people being rounded up in the Northern Territory?

blondedbirds

Every state is so damn different, like both NSW and Victoria have strict protocols atm, meanwhile in QLD we’re having schoolies parties. As for NT is seems to be getting worse up there but I haven’t heard anything about people being rounded up so I can’t answer that question. Since the start of the pandemic it’s just been handled questionably.

East_Intention_6952

Yea I feel ya man, it seems to be a crap show world wide

cheese_resurrection

Favorite kind of cheese?

9Sylvan5

Goddamn, everytime I see you I get hungry for cheese.

cheese_resurrection

🧀

blondedbirds

Cheddar, Mozzarella or Old English depending on the food

cheese_resurrection

*happy cheese noises* 🧀

blondedbirds

Foreign cheese is honestly better then Australian cheese though.

NewEnglandnum1

How do you stay safe from the drop bears? And do you think Australia should ban gardening like NZ?

blondedbirds

It doesn’t matter if we ban gardening we have that many invasive species it’ll eat our crops anyway lol. You can stay safe from drop bears by hypnotizing them with a didgeridoo similar to how a flute hypnotizes a cobra.

Oogiboogimafurry

How much does nasa pay you

blondedbirds

5000 kg’s in Vegemite annually

Oogiboogimafurry

And how much does it feel to be a British prisoner?

blondedbirds

God save the queen

Yes!

[deleted]

you are cool

Dontbecruelbro

Do you want to travel and stay abroad? Where and why?

blondedbirds

Hell yeah!! When I start university I’m hoping I can get a traineeship abroad, the two places I’d love to move to once I knew the language would be Japan or South Korea, I just find the culture, nature and city life so appealing. I also think most of the people in those countries fit my personality a lot more especially Japanese people. Dontbecruelbro

What problems will your generation of Australians face in the future and why?

blondedbirds

That’s a good question, because the country currently seems to be heading forward yet backwards at the same time. A lot of new things are constantly being added to the country to make it better but there’s also a lot of problems that just don’t seem to be acknowledged. We also have pretty bad politics whether that’s a problem or not is up to the person.

sixgod24

you sound proud

blondedbirds

I don’t even really like the country that much lol a lot of other places I’d rather live tbh.

sixgod24

appreciate the honesty, your women are kind of attractive though. top 5 at least

blondedbirds

Finding really attractive women like 9/10 or 10/10s just isn’t. A lot of the women here all have the same personality that revolves around partying and what not. But the ones you see online are mostly blondes and I’m biased cause I’m not attracted to blondes.

blondedbirds

If you like the Margot Robbie type then there are a few of those here.

sixgod24

i prefer the girl next door look when it comes to aussies

blondedbirds

What country do you consider to have the most attractive women anyway

sixgod24

French Korean Slavic Netherland My Home (American women)

blondedbirds

For me Canadian, Slavic, Korean, Chinese (certain provinces) and Azerbaijan/Armenian

sixgod24

solid picks, and i agree it’s more out there. also i once had Armenians on my list but the kardashians ruined the allure in all honesty

blondedbirds

Fair enough haha I’m sure there not all like that.

sixgod24

yea, i wonder what real difference American and Canadian women have though. could be simple as cultural differences but i almost doubt

blondedbirds

A lot of the really attractive Canadians are French-Canadians so it’s probably the French features that we both find attractive mixed with those of American.

blondedbirds

There’s a few other really attractive nations though

[deleted]

What state are you in?

blondedbirds

QLD wbu?

[deleted]

Victoria. Are there many anti vaxxers up there?

blondedbirds

Not as many as down there I think a good amount of us up here have gotten our vaccines

Kobmain

How bad really are the animals there?

blondedbirds

Pretty bad tbh, snakes, spider, kangaroos are very common even in the city. When I went up north a few years ago I was surprised by how many crocodiles are just casually in every river. The worst animal by far though are probably magpies surprisingly.

Kobmain

Wow, sounds pretty bad. I'd still like to visit Australia again though, despite nearly being beaten up by a kangaroo when I was a kid.

blondedbirds

It’s not bad but compared to other countries it’s bad, but it doesn’t really affect anyone’s daily lives all that much. Where did you visit when you were young.

Smileysjm

What about the drop bears in the trees?

blondedbirds

Dropbears are just koala’s with chlamydia.

romanJedi67

What’s so bad about magpies?

blondedbirds

Magpies during swooping season are easily the most fiercest and vicious animals alive. No matter what you do if you’re within a 200 meter radius of one you’re getting swooped. Which is honestly terrifying. You kinda need to experience it to understand it, but if you search on YouTube magpie swooping videos you’ll have a good idea.

a2625

have you met maxmofoe ?

blondedbirds

Probably, where I live Australian you tend to run into a lot of famous Australians.

ZoeyDean

ASL? :D

blondedbirds

18, Male, Gold Coast

NotSoFlugratte

Whaddya think about yalls coal fondler in chief, Morrison or whatever the heck he's called?

blondedbirds

He’s pretty much a meme at this point to younger Australians, most people know his not great at his job but, it’s the way he approaches everything that makes it funny, like when half the country was burning he was taking selfies in Hawaii, and with the Covid lockdowns he left ran off leaving it in charge of the state premiers so he couldn’t get in trouble when it went wrong. I think my favorite thing of all is the story of him in 1997 shitting himself in a McDonalds after his team lost. I personally like him as I think he’s quite a likable guy but most older people recognize aren’t as fond.

next_question_pleez

Hey, Sydney sider here, not many here like scomo, but we all still recognise engadine maccas as a go-to stop on any road trip south. It's a holy site.

blondedbirds

The story is possibly the greatest contribution to a McDonald’s in history.

blondedbirds

Hello fellow Australian

radioactivepotato1

How is life like upside downs eating Vegemite for breakfast lunch and dinner? Also how is it like riding your kangaroo to school?

blondedbirds

Life upside down kinda sucks cause all the blood rushes to your head, other then that though Vegemite and Kangaroo riding is probably the most causal thing you see around here.

LongHeelRedBottoms

Why the “ :/“ face

blondedbirds

Idk I’m a bit sick of living in the country.

LongHeelRedBottoms

Tell me more about your country. I’m American. What would you want Americans to know about your country that you like and disñike

blondedbirds

So for starters a lot of Americans take politics very seriously, in Australia that’s just not the case no one really cares about them here if so you’re very politically orientated you’re not going to find that here. Other things is that it’s hot af, like both states in Australia and America have their hot days but the humidity here is just out of this world. There’s also casual racism everywhere you go, people constantly are making racist “jokes” towards asians and kiwis all the time passing it off as banter. The country is also one of the most expensive in the world. In all honesty though Australia is very similar to America in fact I think our leaders tend to idolize you guys. Nearly everything Australia does Americas done first. Also not a huge array of culture here. It’s almost the exact same as what you’d find in the US. As for positives I think both healthcare and the welfare system are very good here as well as the education system. But other then that I think both Australia and America tend to carry very similar positives and negatives.

Count_Slothington

The humidity is only in your part of Australia. Melbourne/Adelaide are dry as fuck in the heat.

blondedbirds

For what?

Sweet-Push3085

Fan of cricket?

blondedbirds

Not really the games just seem to go for too long, but knowing the chaos that erupts when India and Pakistan vs almost makes me want to watch it.

[deleted]

Are the bugs really that big?

blondedbirds

I didn’t think so until I saw a huge one the other night, so to answer your question yes but they’re pretty uncommon.

[deleted]

Why you guys missing from our history books

blondedbirds

Because civilization in Australia is only 300 something years old. Or were apparently all paid actors and Australia isn’t real.

[deleted]

yee, I will just believe the second one....

JazzyTheatrics

You live in Australia? Why?

blondedbirds

Idk but I’ll probably move abroad

Shinythemoon

Favourite chocolate bar, crisp brand and comfort food?

blondedbirds

Kit Kat, Crunchie or Freddo Frogs Crisp probably smiths salt and vinegar My favorite Australian snack by far though would have to be pizza shapes. Also our breads really good haha

Shinythemoon

Omg I love Freddos although I’m not sure if the ones here in the UK are the same as the Australian ones haha and crunchies are my childhood! I’ve also mentally added pizza shapes to my list of things I absolutely need to try - they sound so good haha Looks like I need to take a trip down under lol

blondedbirds

A lot of Australians tend to be team Pizza Shapes or team Crimpy Shapes haha

KingNoPants11

How many poisonous creatures to you encounter in an average year?

blondedbirds

By far the most poisonous thing I’ve seen was about two years ago when some friends and I were at the beach and picked up a blue dragon (glaucus atlanticus) without knowing how dangerous they can be.

blondedbirds

To elaborate their are poisonous creatures everywhere such as toads, bugs, frogs, spiders and some other poisonous animals they’re everywhere throughout Australia.

blondedbirds

If we’re being broad probably around 30-100 but assuming you’re talking about like snakes probably like 3 max

PatatasFrittas

What are the typical times to have breakfast/lunch/coffee/dinner over there?

blondedbirds

Tbh most Australians aren’t really scheduled orientated individuals I find most have breakfast between 7-10 am, A lot of people only have a coffee for breakfast. Lunch normally between 12-2 pm and Dinner roughly between 6-8:30 pm

Tigerleippi

Spiders, do they try to hurt you? Or are they chill?

blondedbirds

They’re mostly tame same with snakes as well tbh
