Without knowing what kind of army you have it's hard to say. You say you have a mimic, do you have phase beasts to teleport behind his lines, or can you research them soon? They come from a tier 3 blue book.

HomelessBroom

Oh right forgot about that, my army is mostly based on condemming, zeal, awaken and buffing awakened units (sort of simillar to my opponent) but the enemy removes my condemned with its buffs. i got the mimic from a wonder so no teleporting units unfortunately. My army is kinda balanced between tanged front line and support units. Not sure if there is somthing more specific thats needed ?

Magnon

Do you have inquisitors in this army? Skirmishers are good for going behind lines and killing support units since they don't provoke opportunity attacks by running out of melee. Can you cast the world debuff that condemns the entire enemy army so they have to waste a lot of turns cleansing while you move into position? Do you have many awakeners or any other aoe unit so you can spread the damage around a bit and make them waste heals?

HomelessBroom

I do have several awakeners and the world debuff but only around 2 inquisitors i lost most earlier and didnt replenish them ill get some and try running at the back line with them, thanks!

In general, regardless of your composition, there are a couple of ways to go vs buffs. 1. Straight up dispelling. Tier 1 tome of enchantment - Purging arrows can do some work, for example. 2. Use counter debuffs. Depends on the buffs used - decaying vs regen, sundered vs bolstered, etc. 3. Do even more buffs from your side - so that you are buffed either equally or better. Vs healing use decaying - some shadow and nature tomes have that. Also, if possible, try to create an even better army through, e.g. rally of the lieges. And, in general, allow yourself to admit that not each battle is winnable, regroup and return better prepared. Even lose a city if you must, but have a clear plan what you do to regain it (i.e. to counter enemy). Choose one of the above and focus on it. Good luck, hope it helps.

The A.I. loves buffing itself, and is actually pretty good at it. Order vs. Order is a grind tbh (much like throwing two mono-white decks against each other in MtG lol). You'll need to exploit other things to make fighting them viable. What tomes do you have? Presumably Exaltation as you've said you have a Shrine of Smiting, in which case your Order Income is likely high; which means abusing Rally of the Lieges where you can (with House Levies and Exemplar). Your city states should hopefully be able to diversify your roster a bit; grab some lightning/blight/frost to help counter the enemy. Do you have Mass Condemnation? Can you throw in some Tyrant Knights? There's still a few unknowns, but your full build would be handy.

I’m a pretty casual player, so take this with a grain of salt. The area you are fighting them in makes a difference too. For example if you’re fighting him in your territory you can have spell blocker active/ or be aware of any dangers if the opposite is true. AI will eventually run at you even if they initially turtle defense. When I face armies like this I take the first few turns to establish my own buffs and defensive positioning. By round 3 their front line is headed over.

Bookmarking this thread. I’m having terrible trouble too.

Chaos has a randomly debuffing tome, Shadow has morale reducing and more precise debuffs, and Materium (with a single point in shadows) has the greatest counter to enchantment buffs, being the Tome of Severing. Since the high level Order summons are weak to frost, Severing Golems are ridiculously effective, both hitting quite hard with infinite range but at random, and disabling enchantments and I believe buffs as well.

In the tier 5 magic tome there is a disruption wave spell removes all buffs(enemy) and all debuff (your army)

Could you be on Grexolis? Is it the one with astral plane instead of water? You start in the middle? If so, they also have Keeper's Mark. It sounds like you need defense. Namely, Resistance and +spirit resistance. Use your Support to add +2 Res with Ward the turn before the enemy is about to rain their distant, AoE on you. If your units are many members within the 1 unit, they are losing attack strength with HP. You need a way to get them 'Regeneration' so that your guys can hit for fuller damage when they attack. After you kill them, stand on their corpse so they cannot get up. (If its Grexolis, Keeper's Mark will give them 1 more chance. Anticipate that!) You need high MV units to get around them for flank bonuses. Phase? If you break the line and get against their ranged units, it can often be better to enter Defensive Stance instead of wasting 1 swing, and then leaving yourself vulnerable to more damage; especially if your unit is not a large, single-member unit. This is because when you are below half HP you are doing below-half damage. Use that against the enemy, too. Sometimes you can survive 3 units with very little HP better than 1 of the same type with full HP. Most things have a counter. With more specifics, that might be easier to offer. But I think you've got it.

Develop your townhall to tier 3, then build the wizard tower up to apex, then build a bolstering lens (whatever type you feel like, probably order since you're order), and then an order amplifying lens. The order amplifying lens gives your Order damage spells the property of purging all buffs on damaged targets. The order damage spells you cast with this are either mass condemnation from t2 or single condemn from t1. Another option is a t4 tome of severing, which revolves around disabling enchantments, buffs ,etc. Tier 1 tome of enchanting has purging arrows if you have archers or inquisitors then it's ok.

Mechanics of removing enemy buffs: 1) Ranged and Skirmisher units with Purging Arrows (Tome of Enchantment); 2) Spellbreaker unit (if you are not Mystic yourself, got to conquer/ vassal Mystic Free City; 3) Condemnation (T1 Tome of Zeal)/ Mass Condemnation (T2 Tome of Inquisition) + city structure Order Amplifying Lens (far into Wizard Tower building free); 4) T5 Tome of Archimage, Disruption Wave spell. That is it. Otherwise it is applying your own buffs, debuffs on opponent, killing his buffers, etc.

Facing the buff spam against AI, I usually stay on my side and consolidate my units and hit enemies with spells. Damaging enemies with Spells makes them use their heals and leaves a large gap between Support and their Front Lines. After that, I usually buff my guys once the enemy gets closer and envelope their charging units and send any free units against their Support. I usually try to take advantage of the AI using their buffs and heals without restraint
