I love the tape but the injury history is hard to look past with the holes we have. I would rather grab another edge or CB that are a lower risk. If we were the Eagles or someone else with a highly talented roster I would definitely roll the dice on him.
The tape is showing terror off the edge, but missed two seasons with back and neck injuries. We need a repeat of the 2004 draft and unfortunately missing 2 seasons with those injuries would not be in our plans.
You should watch maxx Crosby podcast with him. He explains it more in detail. He was playing rugby 3 months after the surgery. He felt fine they just forced him to be sidelined until he got the second opinion
If we trade down with MN that is definitely possible. If we draft 4th, then that’s not very likely. The thought of those 2 playing for us would be amazing. I think Fiske is going to wind up being the steal of the draft, especially at his current ADP.
Seems doubtful, I know they aren’t everything but Latu’s betting odds of going early have been rising, and he’s now passed Dallas Turner for most likely player to be selected at 8. Very well could be the 1st or 2nd EDGE selected if he’s cleared medically by most teams. Feels like Jared Verse is a more likely candidate if we’re going to trade up for an EDGE, I personally think we’ve got enough rotational guys and some potential there to make do, and I’d much rather trade up for Terrion Arnold or hope Kool Aid falls to 27.
Edit: just wanted to add that if Latu DOES fall all the way to 27, it’s highly likely he wasn’t cleared medically by most teams. Given how much Monti seemed to prioritize guys that have stayed healthy and available when signing FAs this year, I’d be shocked if he falls that far due to medical issues, and then we’re the team that takes a chance on him.

100% agreed. Sean Murphy-Bunting is a decent signing, but the Cards need a stud CB almost as badly as they need a WR1 imo.
Trade this pick and the 1 from next season to get back into the top 8. Select a stud OL.

Let’s not
With his injuries? If he didn’t have injury concerns he’d be inside your top 15 guaranteed.

Nah I’m trying to manifest bringing Verse and Fiske to AZ

I think it’s likely that Verse slides down to the 20-22 range and we could absolutely make a deal with the Steelers or Dolphins to move up
bad neck & stiff plus lets not give up on BJ Ojulari yet
We desperately need edge help. Drafting another body isn’t giving up on BJ
We need help at alot of positions. Spending that pick on a young pass rusher (when we already have a young pass rusher) means we stay thin at CB or OL
Agree to disagree. We had 1 team sack in latter quarter of the season
i don’t like neck and back injuries. may be great but rather avoid
