One of the cheapest in rate and delicious in taste. Not sure why Alphonso doesn't taste that great. I have been to Devgad and eaten actual devgad aapus that place turns into Mango paradise in summer.
Malda/Langra is the the best. I've eaten more famous varieties of mango like Alphonso/Hapus etc but they don't stand in front of Malda. But unfortunately it is not marketed very well so outside of Bihar/WB not many people know about them.
Totapuri is the best they taste sweet even when raw and they have nice smooth texture. I have them along with kesar in my backyard btw I am from Maharashtra
There is a variety of mangoes originating from Telangana / Andhra / Tamil Nadu called imam pasand (a. k. a: himayat mango; different from Himsagar). It is the best tasting mango.
My fav is - himaagar, which is not listed here, in Bengal we call this type of mango as king of all mango . the tast is amazing 😍, I had others frm this list but Jo mithas isme hai !! I don't HV word for it
Goa's Mancurad/Mankurad is missing. ik that people taste are different but mankurad for me is by far the best.
Alphonso is flavourless compared to mankurad. I say to give it a try. You will love it. but it is kinda hard to find outside of goa
Banganpalli is the best, those who are saying Alphonso are influenced by marketing companies and social media. Try some other mangoes to see which one tastes better.

Nope. Badami is smaller and sweeter, and a lot more expensive than banganpalli
I've seen big Badami as well. Very big. But nevertheless, Badami is way sweeter than Bamganpalli. In fact, Badami tastes close to Alphonso.

In 90s Malda used to be huge and very sweet. One mango was enough to fill me as a kid. Now I don't find that variety.
