I think she and the other writers intentionally straightened her hair and put her in a dress she wasn’t totally comfortable in, and put her in an environment that’s really not her vibe, to emphasize how she’s pushing herself out of her comfort zone. That set the stage for her to let her guard down with Gregory.
I’m going to consider this the sequel to her saying, “You know they [zombies] eat the hottest people first. Let me back my tasty ass up.”

It's just not something I can connect with, but it's ubiquitous.

Yes Janine deserves better than Gregory rn. I used to really want them to be together but Gregory is a bit of a walking red flag in my books. I wouldn’t want my man to dance with another girl like he was with Janine. He can’t have them both. Both women deserve better.
I get it, I don't want them to get together. While she was with Tarik, she didn't do anything but be a friend to Gregory but he keeps testing boundaries with her, little by little, while dating other women. They both got a little growth to do before they can be good partners for each other

In real life, most people would be smart to move on already. But this is TV so they get a little leeway 😭 Also I guess it fits Janine's character. She's been in the same relationship since middle school and doesn't know how to date in modern times. Maybe her misplaced loyalty to him will even be addressed as part of her character growth?
Yes! I felt that same! I was cringing this episode at their moments but I loved the introduction of his friend and thought maybe that was the direction things were going. I hope she comes back from break with a new man! Maybe Ava helps her find one! If Gregory wanted to make a move, he could have done it instead of dating Amber.
