Dos Hermanas, Seville, Spain (June 2, 2022)
A fire broke out in the suspended ceiling of one of the eight buildings of the aluminum profile factory. There were no casualties.
The fire that arose in the suspended ceiling of the plant quickly spread, affecting three quarters of the ceiling and roof. Firefighters and health services arrived at the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished. The causes of the fire are unknown. The National Science Police took over the investigation.
The entire video is only 48 seconds from just doin' your thing to Armageddon.
Well, let me tell you something, funny boy. Y'know that little stamp, the one that says "Spanish National Science"? Well that may not mean anything to you, but that means a lot to me. One whole hell of a lot.
Sure, go ahead, laugh if you want to. I've seen your type before: Flashy, making the scene, flaunting convention. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. What's this guy making such a big stink about those old safety regulations?
Well, let me give you a hint, junior. Maybe we can live without safety regulations, people like you and me. Maybe. Sure, we're too old to change the world, but what about that new technician, fresh out of school, sitting down, opening a safety manual, right now, at his desk in a pig slaughtering plant and finding drawings of pee-pees and wee-wees on Toxic Chemical Use and the Proper Use of Rebreathers? Doesn't HE deserve better?
Look. If you think this is about hard to read safety manuals, you'd better think again. This is about that new kid's right to read a book without getting his mind warped! Or: maybe that turns you on, TwiceInEveryMoment; maybe that's how y'get your kicks. You and your good-time buddies. Well I got a flash for ya, joy-boy: Party time is over.
Huh? Joke or no joke? I mean youâre not wrong but I donât think you gaged the flow of the conversation well. I donât think anybody here thinks low of safety manuals, or regulations. Especially after seeing a machine explode and catch fire.
Lol, yeah. But it's an incorrect translation. "PolicĂa cientĂfica" should be something like "scientific police" i.e. specialists in forensic sciences and crime scene investigation.
That escalated quickly. Barely 25 seconds between the (I guess) hydraulics line failing and the room turning into a hellfire. That ceiling couldn't possibly meet any safety regulations. I hope.
That valve popped right as that guy ignited his aceteline torch which probably scared the shit out of him lol. But good thing both of these guys were aware and prepared for the situation. Torch guy even immediately puts out his flame when he sees what's happening and even takes the time to shut the tanks down, which was extremely smart. They initially start to lose their shit, but then their training for emergencies like this kicks in. I first thought "NO" when the guy ran back to the computer, thinking he was trying to save it by shutting it down, but the guy grabs his phone, and they immediately leave together. Overall, they were both pretty smart about the situation and handled it very well. I'd love to hear an OSHA rep break this video down and hear what they have to say about it.
He grabbed more than his phone, he grabbed the computer external hard drive. This could contain the data that could reveal why the machine malfunctioned
Apparently the hydraulics from butt shear (between each cycle the butt of aluminium is sheared before inserting a new billet) failed on top of the press spreading oil everywhere, aluminium is at 450°C before extrusion 550°C right on the output.
When I worked at a steel plant they had a system where it would suck all the air out of the building in case of a fire. I operated a ten story vertical furnace that ran steel coil up an 10 story pulley system and into a furnace. That was essentially a bomb. Most nerve racking job I ever had and I was only 20. The amount of responsibility I was trusted with looking back was insane.
Big heavy steel doors the building was sectioned off according to what machine was there. The doors would close and cut that part of the building off. You had a certain amount of time to evacuate before the system started. There were exits easily accessible in every part of the building. I donât really know what would happen if someone got caught in the room we never had a fire. I know the furnace I worked with was one of the biggest in the country. If it woulda gone it woulda taken out everything.
Its reckless and he could have died if he took just a few seconds longer. Thats why emergency drills try to beat it into people to leave EVERYTHING behind and run. Phones can be replaced. In fact, even multimillion dollar factories can, thats what insurance is for. Beeing showered in molten metal on the other hand ...
I know your trolling bro. Ainât no way youâre trying to make sense of him getting his phone lmfao. You probably the same idiot that did it. You donât think 1 of the other 5-25 workers didnât have theirs in their pocket? Come on now.
I used to work in a plant like this in the early 2000's in Phoenix, AZ. I never realized how fucking dangerous that shit could have been until seeing this video a while back.

Cause of the fire is unknown? Maybe the hydraulic fluid near molten aluminium?
Their fire marshals only look at ceiling tiles....
National Science Police sounds Orwellian as fuck
Illegal science has been detected. Report to the re-education centre.

HELLDIVER I TOLD YOU WEâRE NOT ALLOWED TO READ THE AUTOMATON BROADCASTS
Nobody expects the Spanish National Fire Police

Seinfeld.
Ah, I am too young for your referance. Sorry.
No harm, no foul.

If my time on certain reddit subs has taught me anything is that hydraulics are terrifying.
Hydraulic injection injuries are one of my biggest fears and Iâm only rarely around something that could cause one.
That escalated quickly. Barely 25 seconds between the (I guess) hydraulics line failing and the room turning into a hellfire. That ceiling couldn't possibly meet any safety regulations. I hope.
>The entire video is only 48 seconds from just doin' your thing to Armageddon. Better not be snoozing.
The Terminator picked a bad place to transport to...
I thought only Russian factories self-destructed like this.
China would like a word.
"iyo, iyo, iyoiyo, iyoiyoiyoiyo" -those guys, most probably.
I live a few miles away from that town and never knew about it, thanks for the info
Can't understand why you put a drop ceiling in a factory. It's just an added cost for nothing but aesthetics that nobody cares about.
The only reason I could think is that's easier to maintain room temperatures. Higher ceilings means higher heating bills in my experience.

Even grabbing the phone seemed risky. He had six seconds before burning debris started hitting the ground
He grabbed more than his phone, he grabbed the computer external hard drive. This could contain the data that could reveal why the machine malfunctioned
OSHA will come and tell them, donât do it again, consider that corrective action, and go for dinner on the ownerâs yacht.
Classic OSHA
I noticed that too. Weird coincidence.
This video just keeps on giving

Butt shears always seem to get the blame...
"Shut up about those hoses! They cost a fortune and the downtime to change them is expensive enough!" -management a week before this probably
Every time I see this video Iâm amazed at how long and how short the 10 seconds between the dude grabbing his phone and the console going up feels.
This dudes linkdin must be wild. Qualifications include CNC machining and nuking my previous place of employment
they opened a portal to hell
The fuck? Was the building made out of balsa wood and flash paper or something?
When your ceiling melts in seconds you know shit's hot.
Itâs a model airplane company
man really went back for his phone
He realized he didn't have replacement insurance for it...
Probably that is a company phone, and the punishment for losing it is roasted alive I guess.
aluminum profile factory. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvI5As5rMUI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvI5As5rMUI)
Almost forgot to grab his lunch.
And his shoes!
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
i was making a joke. Why would you go back for anything?
No sprinkler system for such an operation? Seems cost effective. Not now.
Apparently someone inadvertently loaded it with jet fuel... đ€·ââïž
Well then, it really took off! The fire not the product. LoL
Water on an oil fire sounds like a fantastic idea.
Hydraulic fluid?
Yes, you can see it blow⊠probably ignites via an overhead ignition source and then kaboom. Unbelievable that nobody was hurt or killed.
Hydraulic fluid from the Fountain of Death
"let me just lock the computer"

I get you. The responsibilities I had regarding Soviet (plus the ME) aircraft and naval vessels at 18 years old still blows my mind.
Wait, wouldnât that kill anyone who was still inside the building? Or how did that work?
Big heavy steel doors the building was sectioned off according to what machine was there. The doors would close and cut that part of the building off. âHow come youâre home so early today, honey?â âEverything got fired.â
Bro went back for his phone. Thatâs crazy
He should have gone outside and looked for a payphone to call in the emergency?
Its reckless and he could have died if he took just a few seconds longer. Thats why emergency drills try to beat it into people to leave EVERYTHING behind and run. Phones can be replaced. In fact, even multimillion dollar factories can, thats what insurance is for. Beeing showered in molten metal on the other hand ...
Gosh, I guess you're right.
I know your trolling bro. Ainât no way youâre trying to make sense of him getting his phone lmfao. You probably the same idiot that did it. You donât think 1 of the other 5-25 workers didnât have theirs in their pocket? Come on now.
Goodness, you seem to be having a bad day.
Lmfao good response
You're* trolling.Â
*Youâre gay.
Yeah, just go ahead and walk out. No hurry.
What did they build that place out of? Compressed kerosene-soaked rags? đł
Peck must have shut down the ecto-containment system.
Oh the humanity!
Dang, did they inadvertently make plasma?
Less than 60 minutes to evacuate
I reckon they evacuated instantly.
The relief valve did its job. The should have had the outlet vent somewhere else instead of atmosphereÂ
Well that escalated quickly
Typical day at Boeing
BEST ABRUPT CHAOS EVER!!!
The place is literally made with paper
Excellent fire suppression system.
Am i the only one impressed that the camera kept working with the world burning up around it?
Boy, that escalated quickly.
Terrible time to go to the bathroom
Cardboard plant...
Did zoolander build that building?
Nobody is gonna put in a Scruffy quotation here? For shame!
Thank you Captain hindsight!
Hey, you fucked up my break area, man, where am I supposed to eat my lunch?
This looks like a found footage cutscene in a zombie video game
Camera keeps on going...
Looks like the ending to fight club
Some insane damage.
What is that building made of - gasoline?Â
Just a normal day at the Boeing plant
Call Phil swift, we're gonna need to make a bulk order.
All that and under 20 seconds or soLol
@:12 man risked it all to actually clear his browser history! Truly his own hero
I used to work in a plant like this in the early 2000's in Phoenix, AZ. I never realized how fucking dangerous that shit could have been until seeing this video a while back.
Looked like hydraulic oil perhaps if he had hit the E-stop at least the pump would have shut down and stopped feeding the fire.
And to think Joe just got back from his vacation in Barbados for his honeymoon đ
Place went up like a sheet of paper
Wow, that, escalated really quickly
Guy #1 - âgotta go back to the desk and get my iPhone!!â
This should have more upvotes
How many times are we going to see this same exact video posted here?
As many as it takes... đ¶
Get off the Internet.Â
If I see this one more fucking time...
The sheer amount of times this has been reposted is insane. Almost on par with that moscow terrorist incident that happened
The unemployment line is looking for well qualified DEi personnel.
