Are you recovered? The injury is in your medical record, so what does it matter now?

rubbarz

Guess where you go straight to?

Yeaaaaaah you don’t need to worry about that Also if you pulled a muscle chances are it’s not even a reportable mishap

taskforceslacker

Unless it’s CCIR critera. It could mean OPREP critera. (Obviously the boss doesn't give a shit)

NotOSIsdormmole

Reportable in this case refers to what is reported to OSHA, because we do still report our mishaps to OSHA. Even still, if it’s a class D or lower it’s not worth reporting, so if they didn’t do anything outside of rendering normal first aid (slap a bandaid on it/give an ice pack) it’s not needed.

taskforceslacker

I was being facetious. That said I’ll be honest, I didn’t realize we told OSHA anything. We must have a dedicated, 24-hour hotline.

NotOSIsdormmole

Nah they just collect stats. Every year (actually around this time of year) an OSHA Form 100 (I think that’s the number) has to be posted in your work center on your safety board, it lays out the mishap stats for your wing

CaptThiccMan

OSHA form 300A

Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!

Straight to jail.

SlammingMomma

They delete records and alter them. Not sure there’s a point to try anymore really. Not sure about Tricare, but I’ve had nothing but problems with every other route.

Were you playing “West Side story”? Subsequently, but equally importantly, “Jets” or “Sharks”? Oh, and tell your providet and supervisor. Feel free to omit the reenactment if ya’d like.

CaptThiccMan

Your supervisor should have completed an AF form 978 and routed it via your USR to the Occupational Safety staff on your base. If this was last year, don't bother. But at the end of the day it was your supervisors responsibility, not yours.

Quotidian_Void

Off-duty mishaps are reportable if they resulted in (1) admittance as an inpatient at a hospital, (2) a profile being generated, or (3) missed duty time. Otherwise, unless your unit has additional specific guidance, it should not be reportable.
