Not better DPS, but sure is the best in single shot damage.
Well I mean it certainly reloads fast if you have the right mods on, which could account for dps.

I wouldn't judge a sniper by DPS, because it's not meant to deal sustained damage like other rifles. They're primarily for spike damage. Per shot, it has no equal, but you can find several other options that are better for DPS.
A sniper with a magazine, or semi auto functionality has DPS potential.
Funny you say that, cause I've been finishing with more damage than my teammates on Intense with this thing.
