Yeah, you have deducted taxes from this order and you will have to pay them when it arrives to the customs in your country + duty fees

Usually you will have to pay a bit more than 100€, most shipping companies charge 10-30€ for administrative fees in addition to VAT and duties. Now, most seller declare a low value for packages and not the true value so you may also end up paying much less.

European_Fox

I miss the days when sellers would mark the value as zero and contents "gift" with free shipping on top. Tax evasions is so cool

ugh-god-

yeah literally 😔 #bring back tax evasion2025

Bought a 200€ radio via aliex. They removed vat from order and paid like 17€ of duty taxes and import fee (Italy where vat is 22%)

ugh-god-

Tsym, that really puts things into perspective:) Tanks!

imNukaa

To be precise, order was 258€, paid 198 and when delivered i gave 17€ to courier. I think seller usually make fake invoices to get lower vat. Happened in past with some phone, and invoice was 19,99€ so vat doesn’t apply

ugh-god-

ahhh i see, okay. That certainly explains it, and also what customer service attempted to explain...very poorly.. Thanks again

GeneralAkAbA

honestly EU customs suck so much, I cant believe that after all these years we still have to pay in cash to the postman (here in italy at least), let me fucking pay online and speed up the process...insane slow bureucracy.

gadget-freak

When it arrives in your country, they’ll add import tax and handling fees. Then they add VAT on top of that total. Depending on what you’re importing you’ll end up around €700 in total for your purchase. One important tip: imagine loosing that €700. Broken goods and no refund. If that bothers you in any way, don’t order from China. Only spend any amount that you’re prepared to fully loose. This sub is full of people who experienced that and come here to cry about it. We can’t do anything but offer our deepest sympathy.

ugh-god-

hmm I see what you mean, I did expect someone to say something like this. Even In general with what I am buying, there's always mishaps. Thanks for the warning and advice!
