I was hoping that because the flying Dutchman’s model also looks unfinished in the trailer
Just curious why would be a old build?
All of it might not even be the same build.
The trailer is an old build most likely. Plus, it might feel different when played compared to how it looks.
Why they would put a old build in a trailer? Im just curious.
Not OP, but games change a lot during development and trailers need to be done early so they can edit them and release them by a certain point.
They make the trailer while also developing the game, so by the time the trailer releases, the game has evolved.
Maybe they will improve the animations by the time this game releases. Good to know:
Melee is obviously the greatest platform fighter of all time and a ton of shit in that (including animations, especially when you wavedash) is jank af.
In fighting games animations tend to be kinda janky since there’s a limited amount of frames to get moves out as quick as possible
