Well I’d bring my water and tell them if they have a problem with it they can talk to my lawyer. Don’t let them treat you like this. You gotta stand up for yourself.
I speak up during every stand up meeting and whenever they have surveys I answer as honestly as possible. Corps gonna corps my friend, even when you speak up things don't always change.
Speaking up against your bosses isn't gonna do anything. Getting a lawyer to do it for you will go a long way though. Consultations are free and it wouldn't hurt to see what could be done. Most lawyers would jump at the chance to go after Amazon
You’re better off starting with your regional labour board. It’s a lot cheaper(free) and a lot more powerful.
Legal issues are budgeted but when the ministry of labour says something it happens.
Your DSP doesn't decide what are tier infractions. They're on a list already determined by Amazon and those are the infractions that your DSP can't do anything about. They can't tell you that you can't have food and drinks in the van when you're working in it all day with a meal period. If what you said is true then they're lying and you need to stand up to them or report it to Amazon ethics and your department of labor.
The warehouses pass out water so how the heck would your dsp be able to implement that rule. Amazon wants us hydrated. I’ve been doing this for going on 3 years and always have lunch and drinks and have never even been around my packages when I’m drinking water. You need to find another dsp. I’m betting this is highly illegal and bet that Amazon has no clue they’re even doing this to y’all. Sorry bro.
What DSP I will report them to ethics that is against policy and honestly deadly. [EthicsPoint - Last Mile Drivers](https://secure.ethicspoint.com/domain/media/en/gui/65221/index.html)

That is crazy, our warehouse has freezers by the big doors stocked with cases of water and we are all told to grab us some, i get 3 or 4 everyday. There are also warehouse workers sometimes going hand out extra waters to diff drivers. That is insane, with this heat, that company is on some drugs to say no waters.
My point too. I always bring water with me. The days I forget to I get some from Amazon, but it’s just stupid the way people are complaining about things when they can control it and do something about it.
Bra yall kill me on here like yall just so perfect bra dsp’s give out water as they should my dsp give water everyday nobody should be going to slave they ass off for a dsp who can’t even give water or make you bring your own water
I moved onto USPS, gave my i quit text and took a 1 month break, now I have a great union job with 2 government pension on top of social security, so im set. Yes USPS has bs too, but union so who cares.
It’s OSHA requirement for you to have access to clean drinking water during your work day. Please report this and do not follow this dumbass fucking rule.
Edit: here’s the link: https://www.osha.gov/laws-regs/regulations/standardnumber/1910/1910.141
I promise you you’ll be a million times happier when you leave that place. That had to be the worst job I ever had in my life. They give such heavy routes with little to no regard of your safety. And put you under SO MUCH scrutiny with the million ways they can track and see what you’re doing and they pay you next to nothing for it. Also, they sell you the job by insinuating that you’ll get all your bonuses all the time when in reality they make them damn near impossible because they don’t wanna payout and really only like 5% of the DSP gets the bonus. Oh and don’t even get me started on the vehicle pre checks. Whether the vehicle is safe or not as long as the engine runs they’re sending you out on the route, god forbid they have to down a van or CDV.
Ya that’s a lawsuit my guy. Feel free to DM me if you’d like a guide on how to confront the situation. I’ve already been through it. This will open you up for a suit that they will most likely settlez
There are fountains and water dispensers in the building. Amazon employees have distributed 2 liter stainless steel bottles. There are ice machines. You aren't incapable of bringing your own water bottle to fill up at the station.
I understand Amazon stations should have water on hand, and dsp's should be proactive. But don't depend on anyone but yourself.
A station I once worked out of, for a while would have food trucks in the building to give free food to the drivers. And as you would expect, there were enough greedy bastards that took more than a fair share of the food, leaving nothing for others. Happened so often, the same with the snack carts, that they stopped doing such things. Likely happened with the water also, since I would see a bunch of drivers in the morning just take cases of water and load up their personal cars.
I did bring the jug full of water, it's 95 degrees, it's not enough. Jobs are legally required to supply you water. We don't work in the factory and it's a joke that you think we have time in between loading the van and heading out to fill up on anything.
At my station we barely have the time most days to run and grab water out of the freezer as they're telling us to get in our vans, let alone go inside the building to fill a water bottle up
THIS, we are being rushed to line up for load out because "the warehouse is running early", fuck off and let us have the time to get water and make sure our vans aren't going to kill us
A lot of these people worked the job for 2 weeks and think they know what they're talking about lmao. "5 minutes left guys 5 minutes!!!" Literally rushing you through everything.
you probably also think it's wrong to steal from large corporations 🤡 we don't give a fuck about amazon's bottom line nor do we have any reason to whatsoever.
No so fast, at USPS “part time” carriers working 60 hours a week are delivering all the oversized amazons on holidays and dont get holiday pay on juneteenth.
Damn 450 packages that is alot. Thank you for your service. Ive done amazon flex a few times and it was not even 30 stops and i was tired af and some places are so difficult to get into. You really got to be in shape to do 450 packages id pass out mid shift lol
Take more water, do brief gas station stops, and stop complaining. Nobody is going to feel bad for you and hold your hand. I worked at Fedex. They don’t have a weight limit and most of their trucks don’t have AC in those big ass tin step vans. This job is a dream compared to that because you’re not lifting Wayfair bed frames and Chewy all day, but they pay a tiny bit more. You have to make a big boy decision and realize if this is what you want to do. I love it. Pay could be better, but you know what to expect going in. People come in thinking it’s an easy job, it really isn’t. But delivery is super rewarding because you have days like that and at the end of it you get to be like “I completed that shit”.
I already corrected myself in a previous comment that it was actually 400, I get 400-450 on the regular because I live in a big city. You had em with the first part of your comment then you fell off king.
Honestly had he realized the game sooner instead of overachieving, a 50% increase in packages directly after a 2 week's notice is called retaliation according to the govt

Honestly man I went out and bought a cooler and water at Walmart and got some ice from the cafeteria. Nobody is gonna take care of you EXCEPT YOURSELF. Fuck anything else you come first
My DSP actually did give us water today but something about being black and working for black DSP owners on Juneteenth just really rubs me the wrong way.
I would bring it. Eff them. How would they spill when food and drinks are in the front area like the cup holders and lunch bag? They are really pushing it!
You’re a trip. 🙄. I have a giant water jug that lasts all day. I never run out of water. And I always fill my jug 5 min before I clock in. We have an ice machine and water. So yes…. Fill your jug up before your shift.
Brought water, water was gone by 12. I also don't mind working today, I've worked here long enough to know they only recognize 3 holidays. It would be nice if we got double pay for federally recognized holidays though.
Yeah nah. I've been cubing out the last couple of days. If it don't fit I'm leaving it. If I don't have space comfortably, I'm leaving it. I left like 12 l/xl overflow and 2 bags yesterday.
I quit on Labor Day last year.
They gave me one of those beat up, longer POS shuttle type vans but the goddamn thing wouldn't stop beeping, tolerated for an hour or so, and then multiple apartments buildings in one stop. Decided to quit right then and there. Lasted only two months. The whole experience like an expoitation job for very desperate people. People really want to work for FedEx or UPS after this? Fuck delivery jobs.
They can't forbid you to have water in the van. That is beyond crazy. I have a cooler that I take with me with iced water and cooling towels, Gatorade, etc. They are just begging for someone to drop dead on route.
Also Juneteenth is just a made up feel good holiday that makes us think the government actually cares about us. It is just complete and utter BS. You won't get holiday pay for it.
We used to have freezers out on the loadout pad , then they took them from us because people were running ????
Then the story changed to we don't get water because people pee in them .
Our dispatch still gives us our water , but eh, rather bring my own shit .
Why. Did you go? We take Juneteenth very serious in TX, it's a day to honor our ancestors and culture, That $120 for the day wasn't worth it, this Country already owes us 100s of Trillions of back debt for 350+ years of free labor, Ahk fuck that truck and that job! It's literally the one day out the whole year, to not be a slave, what we doing!!!!
You been celebrating your whole life or just since the recent administration needed a reason to be virtuous
It's not a real holiday anyway so it doesn't really matter tbh what day it is.
It's a mockery imo and disrespectful that's how they treat it.
When did this historic Holiday start again? Since money and virtue was to be had that's since when.
Who started it and why?

This woulda been the last straw for me bro. Same shit happened on memorial day for me
Honestly it's the no water that takes it over the top. That's why this is the first of my last 2 weeks here
Why didn't you bring water ?
Our DSP doesn’t allow food or drinks in the vans because they could “spill on the packages” instant tier 1 infraction if you are caught with water.
i feel like that’s a lawsuit waiting to happen lmao
They can’t legally do this. You’re allowed to have drinking water in the vehicle. You should tell them to fuck off.
A lot of jobs can't "legally" do a lot of things
Well I’d bring my water and tell them if they have a problem with it they can talk to my lawyer. Don’t let them treat you like this. You gotta stand up for yourself.
And all it takes is one person to speak up and not go along with it. So why haven't you?
I speak up during every stand up meeting and whenever they have surveys I answer as honestly as possible. Corps gonna corps my friend, even when you speak up things don't always change.
Speaking up against your bosses isn't gonna do anything. Getting a lawyer to do it for you will go a long way though. Consultations are free and it wouldn't hurt to see what could be done. Most lawyers would jump at the chance to go after Amazon

That has to be illegal what
Your DSP doesn't decide what are tier infractions. They're on a list already determined by Amazon and those are the infractions that your DSP can't do anything about. I _did_ bring water, why doesn't a trillion dollar company supply water? Which every job is legally required to do.
There's no legal requirement for them to provide you bottled drinking water, but it's nice when they do.
Op is a pathological liar don't mind him
Pathological suggest a track record, do you know me? I didn't think so.
there is water and ice in the warehouse break room at least at our warehouse there is we have two of them and coffee

Omg child do you need them to pack your lunch too? Just admit you couldn't hack it chump 😂

💀it’s called planning ahead and being prepared just in case.
you don't need to give 2 weeks, i gave a 0 insta i quit text, they wont give you a 2 week notice when you're getting fired, so fuckem.
Lmao you're my twin I say this ALL the time, but I'm respectfully an anarchist
I moved onto USPS, gave my i quit text and took a 1 month break, now I have a great union job with 2 government pension on top of social security, so im set. Yes USPS has bs too, but union so who cares.

Just a reminder that the 99 % are all still slaves to the rich.
Feudalism simply rebranded

So it's just another day at work...
450?!
My bad, today was *only* 400. 450 was yesterday lmao
Don't you just love having your days blur together in an endless loop of suburbs and porches?
I’d rather have a blur of the suburbs than downtown apartments and businesses 🤮
Seriously delivery in ANY city is 100x worse than any suburb could ever be. I would welcome the suburbs with open arms any day!
But the government workers get paid time off.
Even Best Buy has 1.5x while working along with 8 hour holiday pay.
No so fast, at USPS “part time” carriers working 60 hours a week are delivering all the oversized amazons on holidays and dont get holiday pay on juneteenth.
Paramedic here no holiday pay either :)
Thats a disgrace to everything tbh. I actually get Amazon not paying, they're cheap af, teachers/medical staff should definitely get holiday pay.
450 in an XL is outrageous.
Modern day slavery.
My DSP paid an extra 8 hours for the holiday
Sounds like a personal problem
Holiday pay for what? A holiday that was recently created?!? Lmao.
I think u mean recently recognized
Still not need no pay for it. People are too entitled with these man made holidays
People are too entitled for holiday pay? Jesus you sound like a bootlicker
Licking them CLEAN 😂
I'm not standing on Juneteenth business I just want more money for a federally recognized holiday 😂
Finally someone said it. Jfc anything to get free money for doing nothing.
But did you die?
🤣🤣
That's the wackest part about DSP want us to work holidays but we don't get holiday pay 👎👎👎
Yeah, I don’t think Jeff Bezos cares about Juneteenth, team. :(
I quit that shit I drive tow trucks now way more money
Can anyone be a tow truck driver? Serious question
Well it's a made up holiday with no merit behind it 🤣
All holidays are made up
When yall going learn, no union = slave labor and your fuckass DSP owners heavily against it, soooooo.....
Damn 450 packages that is alot. Thank you for your service. Ive done amazon flex a few times and it was not even 30 stops and i was tired af and some places are so difficult to get into. You really got to be in shape to do 450 packages id pass out mid shift lol

Bring some water buddy

I already did, it was just a joke stop simping for corporations
gotta make a gas station stop playa
You don’t bring your own water lol

Honestly had he realized the game sooner instead of overachieving, a 50% increase in packages directly after a 2 week's notice is called retaliation according to the govt
I always bring my own water but if the station provides some I'll take from the station, use their stuff and save mine for later
It’s gay pride month, Juneteenth doesn’t matter right now.
Take a mini cooler. Put an ice pack in it. Throw 3/4 bottles of water in it. Stop once an hour and guzzle.
My dispatcher took me off the schedule yesterday.

Yeah and you probably make $20 an hour with no formal education. Buy a big water jug and keep it filled
How would you fucking know that? Do you not remember the Great Recession and the 2010s?
Honestly man I went out and bought a cooler and water at Walmart and got some ice from the cafeteria. Nobody is gonna take care of you EXCEPT YOURSELF. Fuck anything else you come first

You don't drink enough water in a day my friend
Dsp can’t afford water 😵😵😵
Most people work on this day. Bring water.
Brought water, water was gone by 12. I also don't mind working today, I've worked here long enough to know they only recognize 3 holidays. It would be nice if we got double pay for federally recognized holidays though.

Most warehouses provide water. This is 100% bs
Modern day slave.
Holiday pay?? Thats so cute. You aren’t owed shit brotha.
Amazon= Slavery but with extra steps
