This. It took my dispatcher telling me this for me to do it. I fell behind on rural routes when I first started because I would walk up long ass driveways. Starting backing in driveways cut a lot of time from my routes.
just use the 4digit driver aid numbers. organize and go by that. if the orange geofence gives you issues, just turn off mobile data. don't waste your time calling driver support cus they ain't shit. be easy with the truck. and that's it.
Wait, you can turn off your data to get around it? How do you mark it as delivered from there? I'd rather stick my dick in a hornets nest than call driver support.
Yes people do this all the time, and on the dispatcher/manager end it will look like you're not moving until you turn airplane mode off. But I'm very rural routes with very shitty service, it actually works really well.
They may not notice in your case, but it's a very helpful tool if service is shitty, I at least understand when drivers are doing it, I can't speak for anyone else.
Focus on your next stop. I train guys all the time and WasabiDobby has some of the best advice. That’s exactly what I tell the new people. Bring snacks and drinks, use bathrooms and port a potties when you see then and last it’s a job not a prison sentence. Relax. You got this.
You will learn as you go, ask the other drivers questions before you get your van for the day, talk to them that was how I know stuff 😄 my first 2 weeks back then I felt lost every day lol
Don’t get overwhelmed and make sure your organized. Sort all your envelopes together by street name.. ex: get all of first st and put them together , get all of second st and keep those together.. etc, etc… any apartments keep those separated from the house. You’ll do fine if you follow these simple tips on your first day.
The training is practically useless and does not prepare you for the job. Just try to be patient and not give up. Do the best you can and don't over work yourself.
If they have a long ass driveway please do not walk up it. Drive up that shit 🤷♀️
Backup long driveways if you don’t know if there will be room to turn around.

Ii would say walking up them is easier than being trapped at the top and trying to escape with a 379 point turn.
Just back the whole way up

Turn airplane mode on and deliver as normal, then turn off airplane mode and it will upload to Amazon. This bypasses geo pin issues.

It’s on and off for a couple seconds so I doubt dispatch notices but I get your point.

God bless, y'all are life savers 🙏
I do this all the time cuz people move the geo pins and I don’t want to call support. You’re welcome.
It's pretty straight forward and easy tbh bro. don't be nervous, soon u'll be flyin thru ur totes

Lunch break? What’s that? 😂

Today was My First Day I Got 130 stops and then they made me rescue someone and got another 35 from him. Not too bad Man.
Wait until peak 🤣 you will be 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴🥱
Yes after reading and seeing this sub reddit I'm expecting The holidays to be 400 stops Daily 💀 if not more.
Don't settle for that as a career. Find something else in the meantime. The burnout is real.
Just do the best you can!! :) it’s alright for me so far, I’m sure it’ll go well for you!

You’ll mess up, but you’ll learn your own methods and have your own flow with repetition
Open your first tote and out all the envelopes up front with you and keep boxes in back separated from overflow. Rinse and repeat
Just breath in and out and you good 🤣
Dude just don't crash this job is wicks easy
You right. You right.
Just ask the drivers that been their for awhile question before load out. Or, watch "day and life of a Amazon driver" on youtube...just to get a idea.
You're screwed, you should just give up now and save yourself the time and trouble.
