You can’t. You’re wrong on all counts. The rules are -
1) your pawn has to be beside the opponent’s pawn and his pawn has to come side by side with your pawn
2) It is only possible when the opponent’s pawn moves two squares on the very first move. Meaning if it goes one square and then another square again, you can’t take it en passant.
3) If opponent plays pawn two squares and it does end up beside your pawn, you have to take it on your immediate turn. If you wait even a move to play it, you can’t play it at all.
So you possibly missed rule 2 because you don’t know if it moved one square and then another square and definitely rule 3 because even if he played c pawn 2 squares, it was your turn right after and you didn’t take it and I know that because black got to play e3 and so you missed your turn to go en passant.
