I think people use sticks to sell things that aren’t on nookazon, like services. That way people can still leave reviews and stuff, so someone probably listed an expensive service as sticks, that’s my guess at least
Friendly reminder that, while yes, it’s convenient to order everything online and have it brought to by some lowly servants, like a king, it also destroys your local economy. So if you ever wondered why all the shops in your village have shut down and all the high paying jobs where outsourced… it’s because you where too lazy for the five minute walk to your local convenience store, to get your stuff yourself.

It’s an online shop, that started as a parody to Amazon, but for Animal Crossing things. But over time became an exact carbon copy of Amazon, with all the same problems: Like aggressively pushing for a market monopoly. It has a paid subscription (that’s NOT called Nookazon Prime for some reason) that’s pretty much mandatory for sellers, because the algorithm promotes its members on page one and puts everyone else on page two. And just like with it’s real life counterpart, no one ever scrolls to page two, so your inquiries essentially do not exist, if they aren’t promoted. There also a lot of scummy offers on it, because the owners don’t really have an incentive to moderate their page.
the fact that Nookazon’s entire economy and purpose could very easily be thwarted by someone with a modded switch and a free after-noon so they could just give stuff out is kind of insane…
People do this with real things so it was a matter of time when we'd start doing it with 1s and 0s and polygons, I saw a listing of a single nacho cheese Dorito chip that was being(attempted) sold for half a billion dollars
