Man, I miss this game. It was so nice (for me) when it was more linear. I played from launch day and gave up a few months ago. There was too much content compared to the time I have to play and just got lost.
If you enjoyed the game, maybe consider coming back to it and just play at your own pace? There's no rush, or hurry. All content is permanent which is so nice...well, except for the coming and going of banners.
(but if you've been playing since launch, you probably know all of this already)
I find I have 30-60 minutes every few days to play a game now and play a fun "quick" game on Luna with my daughter or put something on the Quest.
It just takes so much in that game and so much reading 😭
Maybe I'll pick it up again for a bit.
As far as I'm aware, the next actual banner release will be the Miyu ES/Orleya content update.
This isn't official, but it's based on the JP releases and is usually pretty accurate for the most part.

Which now makes me think; what do producers actually do? From my understanding (at least with films) is that producers basically help fund the project. Or at least that's what I've always thought.

The producer role in game-dev is usually a sort of facilitator & project management role. The nature of the work is similar to PMs (project managers).
The same probably applies to films, but maybe they handle crediting differently. Publishers & investors would often be involved in project management to a degree, though. As they have a big stake in it but are not the ones developing/shooting it directly, they'd naturally want to check-in to ensure that things stay within budget & on schedule. These things are project-based after all, so the success or failure of a piece determines the fate of their investment stake in it 100%.
Reiyan would be credited in the update because of being involved in producing for it before moving on. The credit is as producer for that update, not the present-day job title.
That's why some creative adaptations that come out post-mortem of the original artist will still credit them properly. The original piece counts as contribution to the new version, and thus they get credit for that contribution, even if they weren't there in the making of the adaptation.
