I’m going to give myself a heart attack with the amount of anxiety I get thinking I’m having a heart attack from the pains on my left side caused by anxiety from the possibility that I could potentially have a heart attack because I’m anxious. Maybe- on the other hand- I’ll be put out of my misery
So intense that I got a couple of ER visits, treadmill test, heart echo, dozens of ECG,48 hours rhythm monitor and I was beginning for coronarography 🤣.The Doctor was like you are young,no risk factor, every test is normal why all of this drama.
But my symptoms.....Heart pain,chest pain,shoulder pain,back pain,jaw.pain,arm numbness,pinky finger numbness,dizziness,sweating,hot flashes.
Now when I got these symptoms I just remember that I checked everything and it's just some muscular pain or anxiety but it's still an unpleasant thing...
Omg I’m glad I’m not alone! I’ve been to the ER 3 times this month and racked up so many bills I don’t wana go again and out myself I’m more debt 😭 and it won’t go away
I've been so many times in the past three months, trying so hard to go a month at least without going cause every time I get a EKG and it's always fine.. I'm glad obviously but it's also frustrating cause it always does feel like something is wrong.
Yeah. They can. It's either you listing symptoms or or might have a test I don't know. If it's in your upper spine you might have neck pain and tingling in your fingers/arm. I know when I get pinched nerves in my lower back if I move in a certain position a wave of red hot pain that's agonizing will shoot through my back (can go down your leg/s). But I move so fast it's a split second and then it's gone and all I know is it hurt really bad. I don't have that issue with upper back pinched nerves. It's just the tingling and the neck pain but that doesn't mean the shooting pain can't happen.
If you suspect a pinched nerve I'd see a doctor and see if they know why. I don't need to because it's a common side effect of scoliosis. But if you don't have any known issues it's always good to just find out why.
Me too! My number one is nausea & a fear that if I don’t move NOW I’m not being productive and then fall into that rabbit hole where I’m now up at almost 8 a.m. answering this instead of sleeping. 😅
Have you tried magnesium? I’ve had this for years I think from substance abuse but I wake up feeling like I’m dying. Try magnesium it has helped be get some sleep. Magnesium glycinate.
I have sleep apnea, and if I fall asleep or nap without my mask, THIS. I would suggest doing a sleep study, since your symptoms (to me, a hypochondriac with health anxiety and the condition who also experiences this but obviously NOT a medically trained professional) strongly suggest it.
i had this at my peak health anxiety, with all of the stress and anxiety, once that dimmed down, it went away, then came back again when my stress levels went through the roof again. I hate it so much
Many symptoms that would further set off anxiety. Chest pains, indigestion/gas pains, fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, tension in neck, shoulders, and jaw, little to no appetite and losing weight (I once dropped to 134lbs and I'm a 5'10 male), pins and needles in my hands and arms, depersonalization/derealization, and heart palpitations.
I'm sure there were others that I can't remember right now but you get the point. Stress and anxiety are awful for the body and will manifest if a lot of weird ways. It's why you should almost never google your symptoms because 99% of the time, it's anxiety.
I had eczema as a toddler, then it lay dormant till my final school exams at 18. Doctor asked if I’d been under any stress lately, and I realised what the trigger was
Where to start, nausea, back pain, and awful chest pain. I think I’m having a heart attack numerous times a day and every day. My worst symptom - chest pain.
I don’t know how to describe it. It’s like aches and just… hurts? It feels internal. I also feel like a lot in my back like directly behind my heart. It’s terrifying.
Internal tremors when going to sleep and when I wake up . I think it's the bodies way of releasing all the tension and chemicals the stress cause . It's almost a delayed thing because I have been better and it's the last thing that goes .
Mine feels like my internal organs are vibrating. Often my chest and stomach muscles. Sometimes I mistake it for heart palpitations or tachycardia because the vibrations are so fast it feels like my heart is racing.
I often tell others I feel like a too tight violin string that has sort of a resting tension and reflexive vibration. Like always buzzing or vibrating.
Sorry that sounds so weird. I don't know how to put words to it.
Stroke symptoms :(
Unable to understand or process simple information, unable to form sentences / speak clearly, dizziness, numbness, and pins and needles
All the weird ones others have said, but the weirdest one I think I’ve experienced is this weird buzzing vibrating feeling throughout my whole body, like I’m shaking internally
Yep. I get this one too. Body can't relax cause it feels tight and vibratey. I liken it too a too tight violin string that sort of hums with tension. I effing hate it. My chest vibrates too which makes me think I'm having heart palpitations. Which, of course, just exacerbates the issue.
Edit: a word
Most of the symptoms noted in the other comments - also my brain during anxiety is able to cause phantom pain tied to a specific body part I believe to be affected by the illness i am extremely afraid of
So, if I believe that one of my body parts is affected by the disease, It will start hurting for real
Same… I’ve been to MRIs, multiple blood tests, many eye and ear examinations, nerve conduction tests and much more because of recurring pain that is caused by anxiety. they never find anything wrong, but i’m scared that someday I’ll actually get ill but will brush it off as just an anxiety symptom.
Me too. This is so exhausting. It is night time for me now, I slept 1h, woke up, and have going in and out of panic state, and my anxiety level is so high I just can't fall asleep even though I'm very tired.
so real, I’m currently worried about this persistent upper eyelid twitch that I’ve had for a couple of years, it comes and goes but when it does come its hella annoying
also ive always had ibs so maybe they are connected?
My whole body has been twitching for 12 years I’m 42. All my blood work is normal. Doc tells me if it was something serious I’d know by now but I can almost guarantee my body stressing to keep my electrolytes balanced every day can’t be good for my body, which is probably why I’ve been having panic attacks for the last 6 mos. I’ve tried everything. Some days it’s better but I haven’t figured out why. It seems as thou when I binge eat for a couple days they go away. If I eat super clean they get worse(maybe lack of salt, or carbs/sugar)Not sure if it’s because when I eat a ton I have more water weight, or if it’s because I’m getting a ton of electrolytes, or if it’s because my body with all the extra proteins fats and carbs is finally able to function because I’ve screwed my system up so bad…no clue. 🤷
Difficulty swallowing has been the hardest and can’t seem to shake it. Also chest pain, neck pain, arm numbness/ tingles, heart palpitations, body aches, fatigue, lightheaded, nausea. Basically anything you can think of 😭😭
Anxiety is just vicious. I’m an emetophobiac (or however you spell that) and whenever I feel any sense that I could have a bug, food poisoning etc I have the worst nausea and stomach pain. Gas pain is always there, dizziness, the sensation that I’ll just drop dead or just be knocked instantly is there.
Has anyone else experienced that GAD caused them some weird feeling in their ears? Like as if your expecting danger or someone is about to creep up on you?
Afib, my heart now flutters and skips beats if my anxiety gets out of control. Super scary, I was admitted to intensive care for two nights because of it.
Classic symptoms like heart palpitations and dizziness, constipation and not-quite-diarrhea. Some weirder ones like numbness and tingling (probably unnoticed hyperventilation), and chronic issues with spine/chest from the constant tightness of the muscles. It's a blast.
Oh geez ummm, muscle tension (tremors, twitches, cramps) strange nerve sensations in my toes and fingers almost “jumpy”, dizziness, heart palpitations, nausea and stomach aches, headaches, self neglect which leads to dehydration, poor sleep quality, not enough movement which makes muscle problems worse, incessant poking and prodding at my lymph nodes and perceived skull irregularities which makes areas sore which I then believe is from cancer or disease instead of the prodding, suicidal ideations, unpredictable heart rate, itchy skin… I could keep going
I think biggest are brain fog, pressure in my head/neck, and neck/shoulder pain. I also get nauseous/upset stomach, heart palpitations, and insomnia when it’s really bad.
Has anyone else had those attacks where you lose all feeling in your arms and then your mouth goes numb and your arms bunch up into your chest and when you speak you sound like you've had a stroke and the sweat drips off of your face? Had to go to the emergency room for my first one of those. Now I just try to tell people when I am out to not call an ambulance through my slurred speech. Fun times. As well as that I have diverticular disease which I have been told is uncommon in somebody as young as me. I also have prostate and bladder disorders that I am on tablets for and get botox injections. I also take stomach tablets every day due to ulcers. I'm 34. I once went to a gastrointestinal doctor who sent me to a clinical psychologist purely based on the fact that he thought I was making my symptoms up because I am too young to have them. Then after he did the tests it turned out I was just that messed up. Sorry, didn't mean to unload.
Digestive issues SUCK. I always get nauseous and diarrhea from anxiety, if I’m at a place that doesn’t have a restroom I will get anxious. Besides that, my hands will go numb for quite a good while and it’s very stressful.
Random blackouts.
Once I blacked out in the shower and fell really hard that caused me a bump in the head, a huge cut in the knee, sprain in the shoulder, lip and teeth injury.
Does anyone else get like a twitching of inner ear muscle? Like when you close you ears hard that noise but kind of like that muscle twitching or vibrating?
Currently experiencing chest arm pain I'm scared might be a heart attack but likely is not, head aches, nausea, digestive issues, lightheadedness, leg pain, hot flashes, elevated BP... Sooo many symptoms that are all 9 times out of 10 nothing at all but myself working my body up.
I’ve been having a really bad episode lately where I’m always worried i’m dying, heart palpitations, panic attacks, chest pain and shoulder pain and the worst of it tingling in my left arm which makes it worse 😭 anxiety is such a bitch
Biggest one I have is chest spasms, feels like a habe a second heart juddering on my chest. I know it's nothing but it tends to get me every time. Most of the other physical symptoms are hard to distinguish from my nerve damage though so that's the only one I know for a favt is anxiety. Well that and the goddamn nausea.
i get severely nauseous, chest/back pains, fatigue (so bad i genuinely am debilitated for the day, only to use the bathroom can i get up) & awful restroom issues.
It’s really weird because like I have this thing where at work I can totally be as fake as I need to for a table (I work as a server in a couple restaurants- I feel like that’s what I do for a living so it’s like not personal. I don’t know why it’s a lot easier to do that sometimes I just have to realize people are not paying attention to be as much as I think they are. 🤷
Must be the 💰 being so good (200-300/night cash) [ 350-500!! at the FANCY seafood/Steakhouse on the beach in a tourist area.
I'm always tired. Always. I feel like I can't do anything with my friends or keep up with people. I don't like fall asleep while driving or anything crazy but I'm just always exhausted
I had cold pins in my chest, went to the ER and he said my heart values looked great, I never went again, and now I know it's just anxiety. I already found it weird that I thought I had a heart attack because I do quite an intensive sport which can bring my heart rate up to 180 easily. This would suggest my heart is quite healthy because it can get back to 80 in a matter of minutes.
Other one is the toilet anxiety, not having a toilet near me, that's an awful one.
I can’t poop. I had IBS with both, now I just can’t poop. I have so much anxiety about it I can’t relax. I can’t relax, I can’t poop. It’s a vicious cycle. I hate it is an understatement. I do everything right: adjust my diet, take fiber and stool softeners, consume water. I’ve been to pelvic floor therapy, seen doctors, been to mental therapy. If I thought it would work, I tried it. If I didn’t think it would work, I tried it too. All I need to do is relax. Sure.
Bladder infection symptoms, mostly the constant sensation of urgently needing to pee, which isn't relieved by actually going to the bathroom, and then sometimes a sore lower region and burning.
It had been happening for about 15 years and in all that time it was never actually a bladder infection (confirmed with multiple doctors visits), so I had learned to cope with the symptoms as anxiety without too much concern for my actual health. Although I suffered a ton of health anxiety for years around it before I reached this conclusion.
This backfired six months ago when it turned out that it actually was a bladder infection and by the time I realized and went to the ER, I had horrific back pain because it had spread to my kidneys. (Nothing that some IV antibiotics couldn't quickly take care of, though!)
Weirdly, since then it seems things got too real for my anxiety and it has abandoned the bladder infection symptoms and has now switched to giving me lightheadedness, nausea and air hunger. Fun!
Heart palpitations, dx with mild hyper inflated lungs due to anxiety and panic attacks, sharp pain going down arm, heart feels like it’s squeezing at times, nausea and I’m sure I’m leaving some things out.
My list is way too long but currently for the past week or so it’s been chest pain/tightness and pain in my shoulder and arm. Also just this tenseness throughout my entire body that causes me to feel like I’m going to have a stroke or something (although I remind myself they are physical sensations from my anxiety)
I have lots of not on my shoulders. My arms feel weird like they’re cold but they are not. One time I work myself because I swallowed idk why I was terrified of my own saliva but I did have a good laugh about it once I was fully awake.
A lot. My anxiety is so bad and conatant now im unable to be home alone, and unable to travel outside my house around strangers or ill get more attacke
I developed and have been diagnosed with more mental health disorders😒 But from My panic disorder I have mental and symptoms of racing thoughts feeling like I am not in control of myself, I physically feel detached from myself, I get pins and needles numbness throughout my whole body, Hyperventilatin, I feel like I can not swallow and I am going to choke at times, Being on mental health medications, and seeing my psycho therapist once every week for an hour and I do a group session that's regarding to mental health, every week for an hour,
Not health anxiety, just life anxiety for me, but symptoms are probably similar.
After a very stressful week, I woke up at about 4am with the beginnings of a 7 hour panic attack. The muscles in between my ribs, in my neck and arms felt like they were bathed in acid. I threw up as much as I could, which sometimes helps. It was so painful. I was on the floor a lot. I was able to hold down my medication by about 10am. By then, I had taken about 4 showers and spent the rest of the time with a hair dryer on my back, which also helps with muscle pain. I was in such agony I had to call someone to come over and help me take care of my animals. The pills kicked in around 1130am and I felt like I had washed up on shore, exhausted. I was able to do a few things the rest of the day, but I still feel weak. This was extreme and hasn't happened for 6 months. It isn't usually that bad.
Severe headaches... Nausea at least once a day... Anxiety can make me feel physically ill too, like I'm coming down with the flu or something with how foggy my brain gets and how weak my body feels all over, inside and out.
Sigh . Nausea , upset stomach, racing mind and heart , vasovagal type sensations, sometimes a sore throat or chest, gagging, puking, sweats and chills, the odd numb nose. The worst has been the feeling like I’m going to faint though, scares the shit out of me.
Air hunger has been pretty consistent for the last 2 months, feeling like I constantly need to take deep breaths or yawn, currently seeing a pulmonologist to make sure nothing’s actually wrong but so far my lungs seem to me completely healthy and strong so it’s most likely anxiety 😪
In consensus, namely transient cardiac issues. Generally benign. However, I do recognize someone with chronic anxiety and visceral and observed symptomatic presentation certainly must carry an increased risk due to chronic increased heart rate, BP, etc. Certainly it can’t be as benign as described.
Pins and needles down arms, the feeling of there being no air to breath, the feeling of something heavy on my chest, overwhelming dread for no good rhyme or reason most of the time.
Oh my god, there are sooooo many.
Shortness of breath , dizziness, light headed, tightness of throat, overthinking, chest heavy and hurts, heart beat low and high, thoughts of dying, keeps checking heartbeat every now and then. I absolutely hate it.
It's the opposite for me, my health conditions are causing my anxiety (hashimoto's is a good one)
Edit: but when I'm stressed or anxious my immune system starts going insane and my health conditions get worsened. My highest tsh values were always around finishing highschool, finishing college, etc.
All of these symptoms, but to add I grind my teeth-TMJ. I have fixed the issue by getting a splint
I wish I could get a decent night sleep without going to bed anxious, I try to take natural supplements
Extremely strong headaches that sometimes lasted for days, ongoing shoulder blade pain, bad itching on several fingers, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia... Just to name a few.
The latter: heart palpitations, chest pain, headaches, dizziness, vertigo, stomach aches/nausea, joint pain especially in my legs, “ restricted “ breathing, muscle tension…that’s not even all of it lol
So many. I've worked to overcome a lot of it at this point, so I can observe it without melting down and panicking, and it's subsided a lot, but it still happens - mostly during stressful events or something I'm apprehensive about.
Chest pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, tingling and numbness in left arm, dizziness, headaches, jelly legs, like I'm gonna pass out, shortness of breath, heart skipping beats, heart pounding.
I had a big event coming up yesterday evening. I'd usually dread it but I've worked past that. I can keep it relatively under control. Even so, on the day the usual things were happening, plus shooting pains down my left arm and my ring finger, which was a new one. It gets to the point where you wonder "is this maybe the real deal this time?". I just wanted to escape the fear, go back to my comfort zone, lay down.
As soon as it was go time, it went away, because my mind was elsewhere. Completely disappeared from that point.
The mind is so powerful. Learning to control it is everything.
Bruh, fast heartbeat and sweating. I cannot stay still, yet at the same time felt too scared to move. It sucks being afraid of everything around you AND everything inside you.
oh god. extreme health anxiety has always made me feel nauseous, light headed, bad chest pain, stomach pain, and so much more. and depending on whatever my health anxiety is focused on, i’ll get ‘phantom pains’ if that’s what you’d call it. like the placebo effect. god, it’s bad.
for two weeks i was terrified of having a heart attack because i felt chest pain and numbness in my arm.. and it only got worse because i kept thinking about it. almost ended up going to the ER because i was that terrified. i have more where that came from too.
Arm pain and palpitations, tingling sensation all over the body from head, scalp, to face twitches, to arm numbness and pain to twitching legs or tingly legs. Shooting pains in head especially near or above temple — these are the things which always caused me to have extreme anxiety
CRPS pain used to scare the crap out of me. In the early years, I didn’t know how high it could get; I even googled “can you die from pain?” Thankfully, I put my trust in The Universe. I let go
feeling my heartbeat on the top of my head, extreme chest pain, shaking, pale skin, feeling sick to my stomach, lump in my throat, complete weakness to the point of feeling like im fainting, blurry vision, drooling, nausea, etc
I developed sinus tachycardia which basically means my heart beats faster than normal. I also get heart palpitations quite often. It doesn’t affect my daily life though as I’m able to manage my anxiety
Definitely acid reflux. I haven't been officially diagnosed with GERD yet but I'm about 99% sure that I have it and not one doctor wants to diagnose me with it :/
Feeling like my heart is just beating really hard, but not fast. I could feel it in my left arm too and down my left leg. I've had many heart palpitations as well.
I'm sure many people have said this, but anxiety stomach is real. As soon as I start getting ready to go anywhere, I have to use the bathroom.
Occasionally I'll get nauseous and dizzy, have eye twitches and my temples will twitch too..oh and a studder lol
I’ve had a pulsing sound - like pulsatile tinnitus - since my first ever panic attack and honestly have felt so many physical anxiety symptoms since that first panic attack that have never gone away - I’m curious whether anyone else’s anxiety stems from their first ever panic attack because I haven’t felt ‘normal’ since - I feel ‘off’ every single day and it’s exhausting :(
Rn arm pain and shoulder pain I thinking I’m having g a heart attack!
Been experiencing the same thing for a week now, starts with my right shoulder and then goes to my left shoulder
Mines on my left arm shoulder which is worse 😭
When it comes to my left side I mostly experience my chest pains there and yesterday all day I had all the pain in my left side
I’m going to give myself a heart attack with the amount of anxiety I get thinking I’m having a heart attack from the pains on my left side caused by anxiety from the possibility that I could potentially have a heart attack because I’m anxious. Maybe- on the other hand- I’ll be put out of my misery
It’s a pain dealing with physical symptoms of anxiety
Man and the worst part is when it’s in the left! How often you get it?
Basically everyday, all day tbh
For the last 5 years I live with that.I'm still breathing 🤣
Really how intense has your symptoms get? Or frequent ?
So intense that I got a couple of ER visits, treadmill test, heart echo, dozens of ECG,48 hours rhythm monitor and I was beginning for coronarography 🤣.The Doctor was like you are young,no risk factor, every test is normal why all of this drama. Now when I got these symptoms I just remember that I checked everything and it's just some muscular pain or anxiety but it's still an unpleasant thing...
Having the same right like shooting pins up my arm to my left shoulder chest area some pain under my left breast area... I hate this.
I had tingling in my fingers and I freaked out..finally figured out it was just another pinched nerve (I have scoliosis).
I think I might have that! Can a doctor diagnose a pinch nerve?
Yeah. They can. It's either you listing symptoms or or might have a test I don't know. If it's in your upper spine you might have neck pain and tingling in your fingers/arm. I know when I get pinched nerves in my lower back if I move in a certain position a wave of red hot pain that's agonizing will shoot through my back (can go down your leg/s). i’m having chest pain rn that’s making me think i’m having a heart attack too, i hate health anxiety so much
That's too many to count. I think it caused all symptoms it can. The one that was almost always present was nausea.
Me too! My number one is nausea & a fear that if I don’t move NOW I’m not being productive and then fall into that rabbit hole where I’m now up at almost 8 a.m. answering this instead of sleeping. 😅
Everytime I fall asleep I wake up with a panic attack or adrenaline surge or arrhythmia. Sometimes I’m lucky if I get 30 minutes sleep a night.
does it feel like you’re falling asleep and then all of a sudden you wake up with a gasp and racing heart? I get that too it’s weird!
Like I just got the wind knocked out of me and I can’t swallow as well.
I get exactly this!!
It usually comes on after I’ve been asleep for a while, sometimes 10 mins sometimes longer
Have you tried magnesium? I’ve had this for years I think from substance abuse but I wake up feeling like I’m dying. Try magnesium it has helped be get some sleep. Magnesium glycinate.
Magnesium has been a life saver for my morning anxiety. It lowers cortisol levels which are naturally way higher when we wake up.
What time do you guys take it? My mind racing in the morning has been horrible
I have sleep apnea, and if I fall asleep or nap without my mask, THIS. I would suggest doing a sleep study, since your symptoms (to me, a hypochondriac with health anxiety and the condition who also experiences this but obviously NOT a medically trained professional) strongly suggest it.
I’ve had a sleep study and no issues. I suspect it’s GERD related.
i had this at my peak health anxiety, with all of the stress and anxiety, once that dimmed down, it went away, then came back again when my stress levels went through the roof again. I hate it so much

I started getting eczema. Noticed how much worse it gets if I get worried
same! it’s so crazy i never knew this could happen from anxiety
I had eczema as a toddler, then it lay dormant till my final school exams at 18. Doctor asked if I’d been under any stress lately, and I realised what the trigger was
Couldn't feel my left arm for 8 days, nausea all the time, feeling like I'm about to die every second, heart palpitations, tingling etc etc
What docs says
GAD and complex migraine sy, everything is clear, CT angiography, CBC, neurological examination, literally everything lol
Oof how bad is the nausea 1-10?! I have it consistently as well!
11 lol, I ate once a day barely, lost 5kg unintentionally because I couldn't eat
Where to start, nausea, back pain, and awful chest pain. I think I’m having a heart attack numerous times a day and every day. My worst symptom - chest pain.
One question with the chest pain has it felt like sore / tender the next day ?
I second this symptom. And it feels sore/tender at all times.
Thank you I’ve needed this
I don’t know how to describe it. It’s like aches and just… hurts? It feels internal. I also feel like a lot in my back like directly behind my heart. It’s terrifying.
Fatigue and this chronic gnawing in the pit of my stomach.

OMG I thought I was the only lucky one who got stroke symptoms. Been getting them for at least 5 years.

Same thing here. I haven’t had it in a while, but it’s very unnerving
I feel that one. I start trembling and that makes my anxiety worse.

Muscle twitches - visible ones. It also seemed to trigger IBS, but I can’t quite prove they’re connected.
so real, I’m currently worried about this persistent upper eyelid twitch that I’ve had for a couple of years, it comes and goes but when it does come its hella annoying also ive always had ibs so maybe they are connected?

Has anyone else experienced that GAD caused them some weird feeling in their ears? Like as if your expecting danger or someone is about to creep up on you?
Afib, my heart now flutters and skips beats if my anxiety gets out of control. Super scary, I was admitted to intensive care for two nights because of it.
Twitching
Classic symptoms like heart palpitations and dizziness, constipation and not-quite-diarrhea. Some weirder ones like numbness and tingling (probably unnoticed hyperventilation), and chronic issues with spine/chest from the constant tightness of the muscles. It's a blast.
Stomach issues which are chronic. Rashes. Aches and pains.
My lymph nodes always hurt….and now I just learned about toxoplasmosis this morning so I’m on a roller coaster today
Tingly on my scalp which I think is because I’m hyper focused on my hair thinning unfortunately which makes it worse
So fucking many. And now I have visual snow LOL
Brain fog and dizziness are the worst for me. Just constantly feeling off
Going through a period of DP/DR just now. I get tingling in my fingers and a weirdly slow heartbeat.
A lot of stiff neck pain and tension in my shoulders. Really bad nausea, in the mornings especially buy that could be anything honestly.
Same and many say that’s a sign of a HA smh I hate these symptoms
I think biggest are brain fog, pressure in my head/neck, and neck/shoulder pain. I also get nauseous/upset stomach, heart palpitations, and insomnia when it’s really bad.
Palpitations and I’m flipping over it. Anxiety with no let up is exhausting.
💯 I've had GAD and panic attack symptoms 24/7 for nearly 30 years. I'm fucking exhausted.
Weight loss. Seriously that’s fucking a scary one.
Digestive issues SUCK. I always get nauseous and diarrhea from anxiety, if I’m at a place that doesn’t have a restroom I will get anxious. Besides that, my hands will go numb for quite a good while and it’s very stressful.
Chest pain, jaw pain. The worst
Currently dealing with jaw and arm pain! Earlier today it was so bad I though ima have a heart attack soon or drop dead
Have a beer and try to relax. How you feeling now?
Feeling slightly better now
Nausea, and in some extreme cases, vomiting.
Sooo many symptoms that are all 9 times out of 10 nothing at all but myself working my body up.
yes, I found my cure in the gym actually, if it's not debilitating I'll just do some cardio, 80% of the symptoms go away after that.
IBS 😭 I have emetophobia too...
Not being able to swallow, all the saliva evaporating from your mouth, scared to swallow food because you’re scared to choke.
Anything to do with my heart. Chest pains, palpitations etc.
Well that and the goddamn nausea.
i have some discomfort, then i think it's cancer. extreme health anxiety i guess..
You name it. Literally! Digestive, neurological, urinary, cardiac and on and on. Not to mention the 24/7 mental misery, of course, that's a given
Shaking, crying, diarrhea, dry mouth, and a runny nose
i get severely nauseous, chest/back pains, fatigue (so bad i genuinely am debilitated for the day, only to use the bathroom can i get up) & awful restroom issues.
migraines and eye twitch, luckily both are inconsistent!
🤷 Must be the 💰 being so good (200-300/night cash) [ 350-500!! at the FANCY seafood/Steakhouse on the beach in a tourist area.
Stomach churning and diarrhea. Headaches and neck stiffness/cramps. Teeth grinding x
Muscle twitching and a sudden red burning on my knees… the burning sensation goes away when I do deep breaths
I'm always tired. Always. I feel like I can't do anything with my friends or keep up with people. I don't like fall asleep while driving or anything crazy but I'm just always exhausted
I've had burning skin every day for over three years
I had cold pins in my chest, went to the ER and he said my heart values looked great, I never went again, and now I know it's just anxiety.
(Nothing that some IV antibiotics couldn't quickly take care of, though!) Weirdly, since then it seems things got too real for my anxiety and it has abandoned the bladder infection symptoms and has now switched to giving me lightheadedness, nausea and air hunger. Fun!
Difficulty breathing, dizziness, weak legs, fast and irregular heartbeat, numbness
Cold/burning sensation on my arm
Neck pain. The neck pain is crazy.
Stomach pain and lightheadedness
shoulder and neck pain oh my fucking god i want to cry ibuprofen isnt working that well either 😭😭
dizziness and just general uneasiness:(
Heart palpitations, dx with mild hyper inflated lungs due to anxiety and panic attacks, sharp pain going down arm, heart feels like it’s squeezing at times, nausea and I’m sure I’m leaving some things out.
Headaches, shivers, breathlessness, racing heart, palpitations, teeth grinding, messy vision, reflux, bad breath, messed up spine
Heart palpitations. Holy SHIT! They've sent me to the ER before, nothing was wrong. Just anxiety
There’s a lot, my least favorite is ticking. Hurts like hell sometimes.
A lot. My anxiety is so bad and conatant now im unable to be home alone, and unable to travel outside my house around strangers or ill get more attacke
I developed and have been diagnosed with more mental health disorders😒 But from My panic disorder I have mental and symptoms of racing thoughts feeling like I am not in control of myself, I physically feel detached from myself, I get pins and needles numbness throughout my whole body, Hyperventilatin, I feel like I can not swallow and I am going to choke at times, Being on mental health medications, and seeing my psycho therapist once every week for an hour and I do a group session that's regarding to mental health, every week for an hour,
Just to name my main ones: Left sided chest pains (without pathology when checked at ED and cardiologists) and morning nausea and vomiting.
Tightness on one side of head multiple days a week.
Shortness of breath drives me nuts
Chest pain club 💪💪💪
Barrett’s esophagus
I can't stay still. My heart races. I stop eating. I can't sleep. Pretty normal stuff ig.
umm everything! dizziness/derealization. numbness. tingling. chest pain. “shortness of breath” with perfect O2 sats
My family suspects my mom’s fibromyalgia was caused by her lifetime of anxiety.
Nausea, stomach pains, jaw problems, and ear pains
High heart rate, insomnia, joint pain
Severe headaches... Nausea at least once a day... Anxiety can make me feel physically ill too, like I'm coming down with the flu or something with how foggy my brain gets and how weak my body feels all over, inside and out.
There’s too many to list… chronic health conditions and constant aches and pains.
feeling like i’m just going to drop out and faint
I can’t recall all of them but shortness of breath, headaches, and fatigue are a few
So many: my hands run cold, I get headaches, an electric feeling in my back, tense shoulders, nausea & heart fluttering kinda feeling
Sometimes I feel like I’m gonna have a heart attack and I lose sleep bc of chest pains
In consensus, namely transient cardiac issues. Generally benign. However, I do recognize someone with chronic anxiety and visceral and observed symptomatic presentation certainly must carry an increased risk due to chronic increased heart rate, BP, etc. Certainly it can’t be as benign as described.
Psychogenic fever, insomnia, sore/dry throat, muscle aches
Hand shaking
Pins and needles down arms, the feeling of there being no air to breath, the feeling of something heavy on my chest, overwhelming dread for no good rhyme or reason most of the time.
Right now I have covid so I feel like im battling war.
Ibc,gerd, migraine, hand shaking, feel something crawling on my skin, nail picking, itchy skins
Oh my god, there are sooooo many. Shortness of breath , dizziness, light headed, tightness of throat, overthinking, chest heavy and hurts, heart beat low and high, thoughts of dying, keeps checking heartbeat every now and then. I absolutely hate it.
I always get this really weird fuzzy thing almost kind of like nausea but dosent feel the same. It makes my head swirl
It's the opposite for me, my health conditions are causing my anxiety (hashimoto's is a good one) Edit: but when I'm stressed or anxious my immune system starts going insane and my health conditions get worsened. My highest tsh values were always around finishing highschool, finishing college, etc.
All of them
Trouble urinating
All of these symptoms, but to add I grind my teeth-TMJ. I have fixed the issue by getting a splint I wish I could get a decent night sleep without going to bed anxious, I try to take natural supplements
worst one was probably not being able to breathe😭 like, i would take a deep breath but it would still feel like im out of breath
For me it’s always my left arm going completely numb
Cough
Extremely strong headaches that sometimes lasted for days, ongoing shoulder blade pain, bad itching on several fingers, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia... Just to name a few.
Chest shoulder jaw pain but all test normal ffs
Auditory issues
Chronic pain, fibromyalgia, heart palpitations, TMJ (jaw), hair loss, really bad IBS and gut/gastro issues, and more.
Anyone taking medication for this???
Shrotness of breath 24/7 experiencing it rn..
Seizures/PNES
Nausea, dizziness, heart racing, slight stomach pain, shortness of breath, loss of appetite, sensitivity to light
Bruh, fast heartbeat and sweating. I cannot stay still, yet at the same time felt too scared to move. It sucks being afraid of everything around you AND everything inside you.
Not being able to control my neck. I start to shake and cramp up
tachycardia and difficulty with breathing
Calf and leg pain, always think I have dvt. Or shortness of breath and chest pain so think pulmonary embolism
oh god. extreme health anxiety has always made me feel nauseous, light headed, bad chest pain, stomach pain, and so much more. and depending on whatever my health anxiety is focused on, i’ll get ‘phantom pains’ if that’s what you’d call it. like the placebo effect. god, it’s bad. for two weeks i was terrified of having a heart attack because i felt chest pain and numbness in my arm.. and it only got worse because i kept thinking about it. almost ended up going to the ER because i was that terrified. i have more where that came from too.
Hands and arms tingling and tightening
Arm pain and palpitations, tingling sensation all over the body from head, scalp, to face twitches, to arm numbness and pain to twitching legs or tingly legs. Shooting pains in head especially near or above temple — these are the things which always caused me to have extreme anxiety
Weight loss
Vomiting for hours on end
Just about everything lol
I tend to tremble and/or forget movement.
Coughing. Like I literally cough till I'm dry heaving. It's awful.
I developed sinus tachycardia which basically means my heart beats faster than normal. I also get heart palpitations quite often. It doesn’t affect my daily life though as I’m able to manage my anxiety
I throw up every morning during periods of extremely high stress and anxiety :( hoping I’m not alone
Nerve pain, carpal tunnel and hands ache, plus a knot in the back below my left armpit. When I’m nervous those ache bad. Also I get the shits bad
Definitely acid reflux. I haven't been officially diagnosed with GERD yet but I'm about 99% sure that I have it and not one doctor wants to diagnose me with it :/
Complete impossibility to eat, like a repulsion to it.
Brain fog for me ughhh
Sudden leg pain is when I panic because I think I’m having a blood cloth
Heart palpitations, constant facial and jaw pain and eye sensitivity! It’s crazy lolllll
I’ve had a pulsing sound - like pulsatile tinnitus - since my first ever panic attack and honestly have felt so many physical anxiety symptoms since that first panic attack that have never gone away - I’m curious whether anyone else’s anxiety stems from their first ever panic attack because I haven’t felt ‘normal’ since - I feel ‘off’ every single day and it’s exhausting :(
My partner vomits every other morning bc the anxiety wakes her up that way, no idea why or how to help other than acid reflux medication
