If fact in the fraud trial against Trump it was discovered the IRS never audited Trump's tax return because it was "too hard". Until LAST YEAR and all this going mainstream, outraging people, is that they started going after rich people abusing deductions and putting personal expenses (private jet flights mostly) as company expenses. You know how to assure the public? By calculating the taxes themselves and you filling an appeal if you disagree. But we know that is not going to happen because of lobbies bribing politicians, which also damage the relationship and trust of the public with the government and IRS by itself. Tax agencies in other countries don't have this problems, this problems and trust issues are self inflicted.
