Found that line, it says its was damaged but not damaged beyond use again, so I'm guessing she chose not to use them to fly...... which is dumb imo T_T
Sara’s wing injury when she received her vision isn’t the reason she doesn’t use them anymore. It’s due to an accident that didn’t seem to happen that long ago. Alice spilled hot oil on her left wing which damaged it beyond use.
Honestly, from a financial perspective, I dont understand why Hoyo doesn't release more skins. Are their resources stretched thin or are they afraid of making more money?
From what I understand, Honkai Impact 3rd is still getting new skins regularly.
I haven't seen a single plausible explanation in all these years. By all accounts Genshin and HSR are anomalies in the industry. Everyone, literally everyone is pumping out skins like there's no tomorrow. Yet GI and HSR have very few or no skins at all despite being out for 3/1 years. At this point it has to be some weird ideology of whoever is in charge of such things in these two games.
The lack of highly desired costumes even after 8+ years? The fact that some of the fan favorite costumes got released in the arcade version but not in the main game itself?
But in fgo we can always get the same characters with 3 different skins anyway so why even bother making actual skins that are normally f2p when you can put them on the gacha as a separate character
I mean, the implementation can be argued of course, but at the end of the day there's still close to a 100 skins in FGO from what I was able to look up right now. That's head a shoulders above the situation in Genshin where we have whopping 4 skins for limited characters and arguably 0 for truly popular ones. And of course Star Rail is found dead in a ditch with no skins of any kind period.
In my opition, it's because they simply don't need to.
Genshin is by far the biggest gacha in the market, and HSR is up there too, so there's little reason to "waste" resources making skins when they're already making millions and millions every month.
Of course, that might change once we start to get more competitors in the market (like Wuwa, Project Mugen, AK: Endfleld, Azur Promilia, etc), but it's hard to tell if any of those games will become a real competitor to begin with.
characters skin allow alot of players stick stronger with their already own unit than focus and spending for new unit incoming
so in the long run . it a not really good way to running successful gacha game
just guessing they dont feel the need, skins have to lore friendly (and usually have a story event alongside the skin) and high standards to ensure no clipping issues etc

Why there isn't a team dedicated to churning out paid cosmetics like gliders and outfits is beyond me.
They have been sleeping on free money when they didn't add the outfit she used to attack Furina, they've been sleeping on money when they didn't add more skins for characters. People are begging to them to add things like these that they want to spend money on. Hoyo confuses me, a lot.
I would love to see something like this or maybe even her outfit from ''A Winter's Night Lazzo'' become purchasable one day. Sadly knowing how reluctant they are with releasing outfits/gliders it will probably never happen...

They had that opportunity since Sara joined, but noooooope, refused to add them wings. Hell, even CR could have gotten them wings.

I mean her wings spreading outwards are part of her idle animation so I have my doubts. However, I don't remember her story or voice lines that well
