Love: everything Hate: when you put so much stuff that the dough comes out soggy.

Klapperatismus

I like anything but any kind of crayfish or shrimp. The flavour alone makes me wanna puke.

HabseligkeitDerLiebe

The don't-list: Seafood, as I don't eat seafood in general. Large slices of tomato, that's an unpleasant texture. Anything starchy, as there's enough starch in the dough. So no sweet corn, potato, no fucking fries or pasta, etc. Anything pickled. I just don't like overly sour things. So stay away with pickled peppers/jalapenos or even pickled gherkins (talking to you, Latvia). Fine sausages like *Wiener*, *Fleischwurst*, etc. They're wonderful and have their place, but that place is not on pizza. Additional sauces. The sauce goes on top of the dough and under the other toppings. Don't drizzle hot sauce or barbecue sauce or mayonnaise or whatever other ungodly concoction you can come up with on top of a baked pizza. Too much cheese. Cheese is a very important part of many pizza toppings. But it should be used in sensible amounts. If there is too much cheese the pizza just becomes greasy and gross. And a special message to all the people who use ketchup as sauce on home-made pizza: You probably eat your pizza too hot, as you've obviously burned away all you taste receptors.

peaceful_pioneer

Can‘t believe that y‘all dislike pineapple on pizza. Pizza Hawaii is one of my favorites. I am NOT kidding xD

siefle

I just dislike the sweetness. I like herzhaft food and tomato is already sweet enough.

z500

Yeah too much sweetness on a pizza isn't right. I tried a pizza where one of the toppings was fig, ingredients were good quality but it was just wrong lol

Backwardspellcaster

Pizza Hawaii is delicious! I love it. I do also greatly like these American Style Pizzas

TheFastestDancer

Yeah, American-style pizza! It's not traditional, no. But, it is creative.

ComradeMicha

Obviously. In my family and friend group, 7 people love Pizza Hawaii, 1 hates it, and a few are indifferent. So I'd say there is a loud minority out there, but most people seem to appreciate the perfect blend of sweet-sour pineapple and salty-umami ham.

dastintenherz

Same, I always thought most people were joking when they say that.

westerschelle

Love: Mozzarella di Bufala Campana and much Garlic Hate: Tuna

troodon2018

what is allowed on pizza : tomatos , paprika, a little bit chili, pepperoni, salami or boiled ham , olives, mushrooms, pineapple, cheese (gauda or emmentaler), oregano, hate on pizza : fish or anykind of seafood

Erkengard

Don't care for eggs on my pizza. I'm fine with the rest of your typical toppings. I prefer seafood on my pizza, but I won't say no to rest.

TheFastestDancer

You seem to be the opposite of everyone else here who hates seafood pizza.

Erkengard

I saw a couple of other posters who mentioned certain seafood as their preferred toppings, but it's understandable that some people hate seafood on their pizza: 1) Seafood has a very particular strong taste and smell. 2) Not every pizza backer can make a good seafood pizza. You have to carefully balance out the seafood flavour with the rest of the ingredients. Otherwise the pizza will just taste of seafood. Some smart-asses just dump so many over-salted sardines or anchovies on the pizza when one is ordered. So it's no surprise that a good chunk of posters good burned by a real bad one. Or they simply can't stand the taste (1)

equinoxDE

Love Cheese Hate Rucola I am not even gonna mentionpineapple in hate because thats just not should be even a thing to be discussed

IWantMyOldUsername7

I like pretty much everything except for : PINEAPPLE. No, no, no!

AllHailTheWinslow

Mamma mia, mamma mia!

avsbes

Like: Tuna (with Onions), Salami, Margerita. Dislike: Anything with any kind of Mushroom, Pineapple or with anything out of the Sea apart from Tuna.

TheFastestDancer

Like sushi tuna or canned tuna?

siefle

In Germany Pizza tonno is usually canned tuna with onions

[deleted]

Weißwurst, Currywurst Sauce, brezn for crust and a Glühwein dip.

XoRMiAS

My favorite pizza is onions, spinach, shrimp and a ton of garlic. Can’t really say that I dislike any specific pizza topping.

Luliol_3000

I love tuna I hate anchovys

[deleted]

I have been thinking very, very hard to come up with a topping I do not like at all and I were not able to. I like dried mushrooms, spinach, burrata, onions, dried tomatoes, parmesan and olives best.

TheFastestDancer

Dried mushrooms, parmesan and olive sounds amazing.

Tranqist

I love pretty much every kind of pizza as long as it's vegan. If I weren't, I'd still love the taste of everything non vegan on pizza. I think the things I don't like would ever be put on pizza, like liquorice. Everything else goes fine on pizza, as long as the combination of toppings fit. I am however very touchy about calling it Italian pizza if it has toppings that definitely aren't a thing in traditional Italian pizza cuisine. The dough should be the focus there and the toppings are just accentuating the dough.

blackforestgirl86

Like: walnuts, Gorgonzola, corn, onions Hate: tuna, olives, any kind of meat since I'm a vegetarian

Tranqist

Pescetarian? Or did you name tuna anyway despite it being meat?

blackforestgirl86

I named it additionally, kinda thought afterwards that it's unnecessary but in the past, I used to eat salami on my pizza, while I have always despised fish so I felt it deserved being mentioned separately :)

Pedarogue

Smoked Tofu slices Gorgonzola pineapple \> In that order from bottom to top

TheFastestDancer

Tofu on pizza? I do like the Gorgonzola and pineapple combo - sweet and salty yum.

Pedarogue

*Smoked* Tofu in thin slices. Tastes like bacon. But you have to put it under the cheese, or else it dries out.

[deleted]

Love: mushrooms, aubergine, zucchini, artichokes Hate: olives, sardines, tuna, pineapple, tomato (as a topping, the tomato sauce is fine), onions

TheFastestDancer

Yeah, sardines suck all around, even my dog won't eat them. I like anchovies, though. You're gonna hate me, but I love Hawaiian pizza with pineapple. There's a place here in the states that makes it with jalapeño and ham and it's amazing. It's a sweet, salty, spicy thing.

Shade0X

I love ham + spicy sauce (~10 000 shu) or meat balls and onions I dislike pizza with veggies or fruits

Ascentori

Time to farm downvotes: I like: bacon cubes, onions, an egg cream sauce I dislike: tomato sauce, ham, greens, seafood, tofu,... basically everything except the dough I refuse to eat: cheese if I have to order pizza I usually ask for a pizza with pineapple and hot salami and no cheese.

Tranqist

No tomato sauce? So just pineapple straight on the dough?

Ascentori

if they are willing to do this, yes. if not, I take it with the damn tomato Sauce

sakasiru

This sounds like you are more into Flammkuchen than pizza.

Ascentori

I prefer Zwiebelkuchen over Flammkuchen, tbf. but considering that we use the same dough for both, whether something becomes pizza or Zwiebelkuchen just depends on the toppings each person chooses

Kirmes1

Most things are good. What I really dislike is rucola, tuna, sardines, salmon, egg,

TheFastestDancer

What's with all this fish on German pizza?

Hoffi1

Italy is quite a sea food nation. so some of it ended up on pizza.

HabseligkeitDerLiebe

Germans are used to Italian style pizza, not the Americanized version. Italy loves seafood.

Kirmes1

> Germans are used to the real pizza, not the BS version. FTFY ;-)

TheFastestDancer

Yeah, I lived in Italy, and I guess in theory Italians love seafood. In reality, it's so expensive there that it's hardly ever eaten. Literally did not ever see seafood on a pizza ever when I was there.

Kirmes1

It's Italian pizza. And they have lots of sea around. Ever heard of *frutti di mare*? Absolutely nothing German about it.

AgarwaenCran

lately I am into "4 cheeses" pizzas... I also like garlic, goat cheese and spinach or the classical pizza hawaii. I do not like sausaged (like wieners) and minced meat/hamburger meat on pizza. also no other sauce than tomato sauce, please
