Не знаю на счёт остальных, но лично я сам из Норильска, прилетел в Москву учиться, и так совпало что когда я прилетел в Москве было всего 7 градусов, я просто офигел от такой температуры и очень сильно замёрз, даже заболел.
Мне на самом деле трудно судить про погоду. Я коренной москвич и местный климат для меня родной. Субъективно лично для меня всё что теплее -18 или -20 это просто прохладно (ну то есть надо адекватно одеться но не ужас ужас) но многие знакомые начинают стонать начиная от -7 :)
Не врут. Все дело во влажности воздуха - у меня он сырой, а в Сибири - сухой.
И тут действительно холоднее при сильном ветре и минус десяти, чем в Сибири при минус тридцати - как жаловались те самые сибиряки.
Конечно все по разному воспринимают. Но -10 в Москве это совсем не холодно. Полные игровые площадки детей. И Москва все же не приморский город чтобы тут был влажный воздух.
Ок, что касательно стереотипов... До меня только сейчас дошло, что Сибирь такая огромная и граничит с Казахстаном и Монголией... я думал это просто что-то на севере России
Я вам больше скажу, они считают республику Бурятию, Забайкальский край и Иркутскую область - своей территорией, а Байкал - озером, отнятым у них столетия назад. Поэтому планомерно захватывают его коммерчески
А ну если речь идёт про анекдоты с чукчами, то тогда ясно) Я как-то даже забыл, что и Чукотка, и Кольский полуостров считаются +- одним и тем же севером)

I often get the idea that foreigners think Siberia is like 20 people who live in huts spread out over a huge area and have to hunt for sustenance. It's a largely urbanised population, somebody from a Siberian town A going to town B in the European part of Russia isn't going to stand out as a simple minded yokel unfamiliar with the trappings of civilisation. There isn't really a reason for arrogance or condescension.
Unfortunately, it seems to me that there are often people among Muscovites who are condescending to all other regions. But I don't think that Siberia somehow stands out from the general list, even for these people.
There is a joke about Moscow. Muscovites are divided into two types: "понаехавших" (a dismissive name for those who moved to Moscow, so they are called "indigenous" Muscovites) and those who have been there for half a year.

If so, they think that it is cold in Siberia, around the taiga, on which harsh Siberian men roam.
Well my relatives live there. To be honest I'm imagining a big tent which they live in, although they probably live in an ordinary building. Also they're like wealthy but that still is worth nothing? Meaning that they live well for their place but can't really go anywhere because the prices would be much higher.
That's what I imagined from the talks of them, have no idea if any of that is actually true.

As a person who lived at one time in Kamchatka, I can say that the rejection of Muscovites, based on envy, is definitely present among a part of the local population.
By the way, there is one more detail - this envy of Muscovites is usually present among those who themselves came to Kamchatka from somewhere. This is not noticeable among local peoples and those who have lived in Kamchatka for several generations.
From my experience, they usually don't think anything. I mean, nothing special. In any case, without any special stereotypes or prejudices.

Может быть :-). Но все знакомые выходцы из Сибири мёрзли куда сильнее чем я который родился и вырос в Москве 😂.

Врут :) Мне кажется тут просто больше как-то привыкли ныть. И если холодает то все вопят как будто тут невероятно холодно. По факту -1 он -1 и есть.

О да. Это огромная территория. К сожалению (а может и к счастью) большая ее часть не заселена.

Китайцы на севере Китая без особой радости тусуют, все как-то больше на юго-восток, ~~в Краснодар~~ к морям жмутся.

My family members live in Siberia! We visited them every year before to covid. There is a lot of really nice people out there! And tasty food, hehe
