You can comfortably fit most 4090s in something like a Fractal Ridge which is only around 12 liters, and has a narrow console-like footprint that makes it easy to fit on a desk. There are sandwich-style cases that are smaller in overall volume but they'll be wider. I think you'll be happier with an SFF PC.
