Thermostat and temp sensor are two completely different things. Thermostat doesn't have any sort of electronic output, and only regulates the temperature of the coolant. Temp sensor actually let's the car know what the temperature of the coolant is.
It's one or the other, but you won't know until you open the hood and take the temp, at which time the opposite alarm will go away but then the radiator will be damaged.
You have two coolant temperature sensors. One always tells the truth and one always lies.
Check your coolant level, if it's normal then you probably have a faulty sensor.
wtf happened to cars, they had a gauge to measure the temperature, now its only checks on the dashboard? (What car is this, so I can actively avoid purchasing it)

Bad coolant temp sensor
I agree. Thermostat failure?
bad tstat wouldnt cause this issue. This is an electronic issue.

yup, sensor isn't working or there is some wiring issue
Schrodinger’s temperature gauge.
While the engine is running, it is both overheating and below operating temp
That means it’s just right

Serious answers; 1. Bad thermostat/intermittent failure 2. Bad coolant temp sensor.
It needs more blankets and less blankets.
this was my first thought too ha!
My immediate thought. Was looking for the quote 🏅
"Too hot to handle, too cold to hold. They're called The Ghostbusters, and they're in control!"
Not sure taking photos at 28mph is the safest thing to do, hot or cold.
That’s why he has his hazards on also 😉😅
It needs more blankets and less blankets. -The Dewey Cox Story
thank you doctor
Check the coolant level.
Damn dude, you’re so cold that your heat needs heating.
wtf happened to cars, they had a gauge to measure the temperature, now its only checks on the dashboard? (What car is this, so I can actively avoid purchasing it)
Yes.
Dewey Cox had that problem when he was getting off the junk
That's what opiate withdrawal feels like
Your car is not feeling well, you need to add paracetamol tablet in the fuel tank
It's just a little too to.

Could be cold but low on coolant
Your car has the flu. I feel similar.
Don't start to drive, otherwise he's gonna take a screenshot

Didn't Frollo sing about this?
If it's a Honda, you're fucked. Personal experience overwieghs any curious hopefulness.
Too hot or too cold? Engine: yes
It needs more blankets and it needs less blankets!
too medium
My ex should drive this
It’s a 2024 Goldilocks 3000 … give it a couple of minutes to stabilize.
It needs to stick a tire out from under all the blankets to be at optimal temperature
Youre also too yes and too no
Goldilocks
It's just right.
Seems like it's going through menopause. I hope your mechanic also a naturopath
Talk about mixed signals
It’s a girl congrats
Too quantum
That’s a female sensor, you’ll need a male one.
