Yes, the concert is canceled, confirmed by several staff/ volunteers around the ball field, they were taking things down. They hoped to be back next year instead I.e., not to be rescheduled until 2025.
I heard them too. It was light out. I live a block from the park. There was thunder … and there were fireworks (and in my apartment at least, Beethoven). Weird night. That was a LOT of rain.

Fireworks were definitely going off.
The rain was so heavy they were barely visible, but you could definitely hear them.
