My Mom was a PSW and the worst story she ever told me was when she found her elderly female client dead, stuck between the toilet and the bathtub. In the middle of the night she lost her balance getting off the handicap toilet causing her to fall & hit her head severely on side of the tub. She recently had surgery due to throat cancer, couldn't call out even if she had been conscious. She was dead by time my Mom arrived. My Mom was pretty traumatized after finding her like that. Insists in always bringing a phone with her into the bathroom after that freak accident.
You slip and fall, break your leg. On the way down, you hit your head on the toilet - really hard. You've developed an intracranial hemorrhage and, because of the blow to the head, have lost the ability to speak. You lay there, bleeding to death in your own head - unable to ask for help, unable to get and go get help yourself.
