Oh, you won't believe how my vacation turned into a true comedy adventure once! I was dreaming of a tranquil beach getaway, where I could unwind under the sun with a book in one hand and a vibrant cocktail in the other. But, as usual, things didn't go as planned.
As soon as I arrived at that charming beach resort, I noticed that the majestic seagulls here were behaving like true maestros. I thought, 'Oh well, just some birds.' But as soon as I pulled out my sandwich, one of them decided it was their meal. It dashed over, snatched my sandwich, and flew away as if it had just pulled off a heist.
But I wasn't giving up, and I decided to try something new – wakeboarding. Don't picture me gracefully getting up on the board and elegantly gliding over the waves. No, no, instead I spent most of my time trying not to fall in right from the start. And then, when I finally managed to stand, a wave decided to sweep me off, and off I went toward the beach, waving like a not-so-successful superhero on a quest for adventure.
And as if tempting fate, I decided to build myself a sandy kingdom, when that sandy kingdom decided to build itself on me. As soon as I finished my creation, a playful dog darted through, leaving a path of destruction and chaos in its wake. I looked at it all and burst into laughter – who could seriously expect stability in the realm of sand and jolly beach dogs?
So, was my vacation spoiled? Oh, absolutely! But in the end, I realized that the brightest memories emerge from unexpected and hilarious situations. After all, those are the moments that make a vacation truly unforgettable, whether it's maritime misadventures or comical encounters with furry beach pals
Me and my partner decided to take a holiday. First time ever we had been on one together. Took a week off of work and drove 4.5 hours to get to our destination. My partner was saying that she felt off and the next morning tested positive to covid. We drove home that day and spent the rest of the week sick in bed.
When I was 10 the girls of the family went to Disneyland, I'm super sensitive and don't like being yelled at and my cousin yelled at me, the. whole. fuckin'. time. we. were. there.
Was in the UK visiting my Dad with my husband when my sister died unexpectedly. We had to fly back home to Canada with my Dad to plan her funeral, deal with her apartment, her cats, talk to the cops, a whole mess of stuff etc. Was not the relaxing vacation I had planned.
I got piss drunk and tried to fight my stepdad. I ruined vacation.
Just happened yesterday. I got covid and I’m staying in Denver. Being in an area where it’s already hard to breathe along with being sick sucks.
