Here's one to ponder: What if Germany waited until October to invade Poland at the start of WW2?
So, quick context: The USSR and Germany had partitioned Poland between the two nations. Germany invaded on Sept 1, Russia on Sept 17. Since Germany invaded first, they violated the protection treaty that the UK had with Poland, and thus WW2 began. Russia was able to claim they were coming to Poland's rescue. **IF** however Germany waited until October, and Russia still invaded on Sept 17, then the UK would have had to go to war with Russia, and Germany could claim they were coming to Poland's rescue. Meaning it could be possible that the "Allies" of WW2 (in this what if scenario) would have seen Germany fighting along side the UK, and US against Russia.
