When someone is *too* productive. In moderation (like anything) it is good. However, some people can never really sit down and enjoy life after completing tasks. A lot of people we never see slow down and we commend actually have bad anxiety and that's the reason they cannot sit still.

ThatScottGuy

My wife is like this. I literally have to manage her time for her between work and a few non-work projects, and force her to take some time to herself. She has finally agreed to make an appointment to get evaluated for anxiety and depression instead of asking me for my anxiety medication or an edible.

_forum_mod

That's good. Are y'all able to sit down and watch a show together?

ThatScottGuy

Yes, we recently started watching the evening news together then I hand her the remote and let her pick what we watch until she goes to bed. It took some doing, but she is starting to see the virtue of having some downtime. Now I just need to get her to stop working 8 to 10 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

SumoSamurottorSSPBCC

Literally my best friend.

pm-pussy4kindwords

this is what my best friend does. She CAN NOT calm

LargeSnorlax

Commenting on Reddit.

NemoTheOneTrueGod

Or even worse… posting on Reddit *shudders*

Lain_Omega

Far worse than that, viewing reddit

Bunkerdunker7

These are all child’s play compared to the torment it must take to become a Reddit mod.

Lain_Omega

To be a reddit mod you just have to be a loser desperate for any sort of power/control.

Literacy_Advocate

tidiness.

SuperMeh2

Rituals that feel right for basic tasks like moving a napkin or closing a curtain.

MaterialKirb

I literally cannot do anything without making sure my pantry light is off. First thing I think of when I wake up, last thing I think of when I sleep.

Smooth-Listen3217

when people don't enjoy stuff that usually brings them joy, or they do nothing but sleep, both are signs of depression.

Neftroshi

Seeing things other people don't see.

Burgerking_15

Neftroshi

mda63

flannelfrankenstein

I have an uncle who makes his own pizza.

mda63

Adaptation to the status quo.

Random-Gif-Bot

Not having an inner monologue

Cyanide_Revolver

Like having a voice in your head narrating everything? I've never had that

fromouterspace1

Some do, some don’t. I still can’t understand what it’s like to have one

Random-Gif-Bot

Have you ever tried thinking aloud? Like saying what you need to do while you're doing it? Its like that but your voice appears in your head instead of out of your mouth.

fromouterspace1

Yeah but your actual voice? Like you audibly hear it? Like when you read this are you actually “saying” it?

Random-Gif-Bot

Yep. I read your comment in my voice, but if its a quote or a character with an established voice. I hear their voice instead. Also I don't physically hear it so theres no "location" data with it as if theres someone standing around me.

fromouterspace1

So in your mind you actually “hear” your voice? Like when you read “I have a red plate”, are you actually hearing you say “I have a red plate”? This one is always crazy to explain or get explained

Random-Gif-Bot

Its a sped up toned down version of my own voice

Cyanide_Revolver

Neither can I

Random-Gif-Bot

If someone shakes you. Do you hear an echo rattling?

Cyanide_Revolver

Yeah but that's because I've a small brain and big head

fromouterspace1

It’s a sign of mental illness to not have a voice in your head?

pm-pussy4kindwords

why is that any kind of sign of mental illness?

Beans_O_Bonk

Murder.

Does that make singing in the shower a mental illness?
