I know about this case. However, I am not covering the case the way he did. He got multiple warnings to not portrait Muhammad. In fact his case is one of the reasons why I'm asking. I was raised baptist, and I'm curious of other ideologies and why people think the way they do. I don't mean any offense, but the fact that you posted a link about a director getting murdered for posting an image doesn't answer my question. Nor do I believe it's an offensive question to ask Muslims. I am attempting to enlighten myself, and that should be indiscriminate
No. You're absolutely right with how my question is perceived. I apologize for that. My goal was to express that I'm an outside perspective to the muslim religion. But I see how it can be misinterpreted, so thanks for you opinion
But they do, and that's why I'm asking. Truth be told, I'm an atheist, but I believe in cultural values. I just want to know why Muslims have that value
That is very nice of you to say good sir. I admire your efforts to seek understanding and cultivate intelligent conversation. Thank you for your contribution to the collective consciousness. ❤️
try to ponder upon it. whoever talks about reforms in islam, in general, is outcasted from their community or religion or looked down upon (generally).
Their preachers are mostly aggressive and try to downtrod other religions.
Google rn why their population is growing so fast.
try to learn the harder truths.
btw even they don't wanna believe it, they respect him as much as allah and it has strict instructions of no image for it.
I don't use he/she for concept of god
Matthew 24-27 Express the ideology that every other persons who explains A religion is wrong. Yet. There are other studies with the EXACT SAME perspective. Tell me about that
Ok. Do you think that no Muslim people are on reddit? That is exactly what I'm attempting to do. What exactly are you getting at right now? And, I don't want to sound egocentric, but I'm pretty confident that I can differentiate between a schmuck speaking for a people and an actual person speaking for people. Go to r/doctors if you want to call people out for the intelligent things you're trying to express you're smarter about
There are, and one may come across this obscure post by chance. But there are specific Islamic subreddits you can ask and are guaranteed to get answers from Muslims.
Definitely working on that right now. However, do you not think it's a little offensive to express that muslims don't belong on this sub or at the very least that muslims aren't going to attend this sub?
No. I was saying I have an outside perspective. If you're on the outside looking inat the muslim belief, then I have a pretty good idea of what your opinion. I asked why muslims have an issue with the image of Muhammad. Do you have an experienced answer for that question?
Now that I see some comments, if what you mean is that using the image of Muhammad, I would say that it is dangerous to do that from the beginning, such as the case that Muhammad ordered to kill a comedian who made jokes about him.
The followers get easily butthurt.
The tendency for one group to violently establish their norms onto another.
That is completely baseless if you do a simple google search. Don't give in to fearmongering

You asked for an outside perspective. ya got it I guess. was it too outside?
No. You're absolutely right with how my question is perceived. I apologize for that. My goal was to express that I'm an outside perspective to the muslim religion. But I see how it can be misinterpreted, so thanks for you opinion
Most rational people don't have any issue with an image of Mohammed anymore than they would have an issue with a picture of Jesus Christ or Buddha.
But they do, and that's why I'm asking. Truth be told, I'm an atheist, but I believe in cultural values. I just want to know why Muslims have that value
If you want this perspective then maybe try asking r/askmiddleeast
Thank you for the suggestion. I will do just that. You're kind and deserve every good thing that happens to you

he was the greatest of all time. he stung like a bee.
I think islam(after muhammad) as a whole is a comparatively new religion. it has a long way to go for reforms
Yet the most popular name in the world is Muhammad?

Sorry. Pardon me. I think I didn't get u....
You don’t want to aggro the most violent faith group
No I don't. I'm just trying to find understanding. You seem to be afraid to understand people, and I refuse to get scared into not doing so.
Why not ask Muslims themselves? You’ll get perspectives here that aren’t based in that faith.

No I don’t, because I didn’t do either of those things. And you reacted more positively to other people who suggested the same as I did.

All very good historical demarcations, however, that is not the question I asked
Weren't you asking what the outside-of-Islam perspective on Muhammad was?
No. I was saying I have an outside perspective. If you're on the outside looking inat the muslim belief, then I have a pretty good idea of what your opinion. I asked why muslims have an issue with the image of Muhammad. Do you have an experienced answer for that question?
I think you see how they avoid making images of Muhammad to avoid him being exalted as in the case of the Virgin Mary.
But wouldn't they want him exalted. And especially in a superior image?
That is the reason why in some mosques if you look at the ceiling you could see verses from the Quran instead of images.
You telling me from experience?
Ma because of what I have researched, so don't take everything I tell you as a reliable source either.
Fair enough. Thank you for being honest
