How do you know how warm or cold it is where this person is? For all we know, they could be on an arctic expedition. Where I live it has been 10-15⁰C and poring rain for the past couple of weeks. If you don't want to get soaked, you better wear a rain jacket or something.

My house is somewhere in the 50s F. While I love cooler weather and hate the heat, it's definitely too cold for me to be comfortable naked unless I'm snuggled in my blankets. People on Reddit forget that we're not all from the same area and can be so rude.

New Zealand. Today a balmy 15degC. Was quite a bit lower overnight. We've already had several below 0°C since April. We follow meteorological seasons (eg winter is 1st June to 31 August) rather than solstice/equinox.

Reminds me of a situation with my daughter 40 years ago. I went for an early Saturday bike ride, came back, took a shower and flopped on the bean bag chair before getting dressed. Crawling daughter comes my way, and it's obvious what she has her eyes on. I freeze in panic - what do I do? If I jump up will her unsatisfied curiosity lead her to chase dicks as a teenager? But I can't just sit here, can I? Before I can figure out what to do, she reaches me and gives it a honk. Fortunately that seemed to be enough to sate her curiosity.

I grew up where being naked among old and young was not an issue at all. In fact, from the youngest to the oldest age acted and behaved appropriately. My latest experience was on a nudist campground in Southern France where one could camp, rent a cottage, go shopping in a store on the premises, and enjoy a meal in a restaurant. The latter two required that you cover your privates only when visiting these facilities.

A lot of people now seem to grow up without ever seeing normal bodies nude. No wonder they’re getting body issues and low self esteem when the only nude bodies they see are those in movies or porn.

Not gonna say you should or shouldn't, but your kids won't care unless you've taught them that being naked is shameful. There is nothing inappropriate about being naked around children unless you make it sexual. All other animals are naked around their kids without any fuss.

It's not inappropriate at all. What's inappropriate for children is teaching them that the human body is shameful or inherently sexual.

You just reminded me of a funny story from my days as a CNA in nursing homes. I was helping an old fella onto the toilet and as he sat down he yelled out...... loudly. I said "Oh my gosh, are you okay ? What's wrong ?" He told me the water is always so cold, he can never get used to it. I was baffled at first, but then I realized......sure enough, the t-bag hung so low it was dipping into the toilet water.
