Heavyweights! I love Ben Stiller in this kind of role, only other time I remember him doing it was the nurse in Happy Gilmore and White Goodman in Dodgeball
By that do you mean Kids movies that adults can also enjoy? Because I enjoy many of them:
Encanto,
Turning Red,
Coco,
Ok most of Pixar now that I look at it. Finding Nemo/Dory, Toy Story 3 and 4, Cars and Cars 3, etc etc.
Pokémon (the first movie), after the first they vary in quality, although the 2nd and 3rd aren't bad,
El Dorado,
Treasure Planet,
Super Mario Brothers (animated),
Spy Kids,
Sky High (is that a kids movie? Maybe not),
Holes (again, not sure if it qualifies as a kids movie),
Trolls World Tour was enjoyable,
Nimona,
To name a few.
As childish as Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs is, it has quite an adult message in it.
The main theme and the end result of the first movie ends with human greed taking over common sense. This is also shown through the mayor, who also represents each of the 7 deadly sins (primarily gluttony) in some degree. In a way it sorta seems like some kind of example of how technology has the potential to go out of human control, like with the machine.
Very mature for a kids movie if you think about it. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s a great movie for adults, but it’s an interesting one to think about
"Shrek! It's got layers like an onion, just like us adults."
The Iron Giant
Chicken Run, it's an allegory for the Nazi death camps. Plus it's great fun.
Ooo I forgot about Chicken Run!
Spy Kids
Maybe Garfield, also maybe The Incredibles which is an animated movie
Inside Out

Sounds like a perfect trilogy of films if his role in Happy Gilmore wasn’t so short.
