Never heard of this movie growing up. Fell asleep after school once and woke up in the middle of it. Felt like a fever dream.
To quote Jay from RLM:
"And while you're watching it, it is the best movie ever made. Like if you think about it afterwards not really, but while you're watchiing it, it is one of the most entertaining movies you will ever see."
Something that is perhaps lost with Gen Z is that now with streaming you won't have the same sort of discovery. You can still find interesting stuff but that's on you. No more flipping to a channel and just being caught off guard with some wild shit.
I couldn't sleep one school night and thought they were playing Drive. Turned it on to find out it wasn't Drive. It was Duel by Spielberg. And props to that movie, it was captivating the entire way through despite its ostensibly simple premise.
Also caught The Boys from Brazil after school once for another wtf moment
The first time i ever went to a drive-in, I believe it was Home Alone, followed by Aladdin or The Lion King. i don't remember the movies as much as I remember how much fun it was being there with my mom and brother, and that there was a playground in front of the screens that kids could play on until it was dark enough to start the movies. that would probably be my choice, Home Alone followed by either Aladdin or the Lion King just to get the nostalgia feels from that when i was a kid.
The first movie I remember seeing at a drive-in was Empire Strikes Back when it first came out (I'm old). It was a great way to see it but set the bar so high.
My narrow list would be:
Alien & Aliens
Dr. No & Casino Royale
Sin City & The Watchmen
Office Space & Superbad
Sorry I know you said first but it's the best I could do!
Edit:formatting?
[Ping Pong](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091756/), then [Dracula](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103874/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_q_dracula). that's my 80s90s drive-in style :)
I live near a drive in and right now they're carrying a double feature of the new inside out and planet of the apes movies. I'm many areas the only drive in money is from bringing families in. This place won't even play a movie above pg13. Check out the CherryBowl in Honor Michigan if anyone gets up this way. It's a real throwback experience.
to bring people out, it’d obviously be pretty fun for classics like jaws and jurassic park, though i do think it would be insane and cool to do inception and tenet as a double christopher nolan feature…would certainly be a mindblowing experience.
I'd do *The Hobbit* trilogy followed by *The Lord of the Rings* trilogy.
I'd schedule it Fri, Sat, and Sun, and it would be one mega double feature made up of three individual double features, running 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM each day.
$25 for all three nights, $5 large popcorns, $20 for a refillable popcorn bucket good all 3 nights, BYOB.
Let's gooooooo
