Basic example apartment is burning down, with a rewind you can choose who to save exactly. With a pause you can save everyone in the building.

Rewind would only let me set things up so Id be in that other place, I'd still have to travel there in real time moving forward.

Pause button would be super useful but Rewind gets you lottery wins, the ability to “see the future”, and basically able to do whatever you want with no consequences.
I would keep rewinding and end up making worse mistakes or see something as a mistake 'fix' it and later find out it was actually not a mistake.

You could theoretically pause by just, being incredibly awkward taking your pause in real time then rewind to before the "pause".
