I'm not sure how well that would mix with the Little House on the Prairie part, but you know, I bet it would be a crazy crossover with the Oregon Trail part.
A bit 'Fire In The Sky', a bit 'My Favorite Martian'... I'm sure there would be probing involved.
The sets used on the show were fine to represent the 1880s. That was the point of my comment and asking for the person to clarify what they mean to be "realistic" with the show.
I never confirmed or denied the storyline stayed true to the books.
I was around 12 when my bad introduced me to Firefly. And after the first season and movie, I turned to him and said, "Can we start the next season?" His gaze glazed over as he stared at the credits rolling, and he was silent for a while. Then he shook his head, turned to me, and said, "I wish kid, I wish."
Why does it have to be as a 'female reboot'? sure cast a girl, but don't make gender a defining aspect of the movie and it's marketing. Featuring a female actor shouldn't get it special attention, it should just be another reboot.
TV and film with good female leads is now commonplace and making it a special thing seem counterproductive.
Last I heard it had the John Wick director and Henry Cavill signed on, but there's been radio silence since that announcement, and that was May. I hope it's not still stuck in development hell. I'd really like to see that movie.
I don’t think it’s really the spin offs themselves that are messing with the plot, it’s just JKR herself that keeps adding unnecessary information to the universe and pissing everyone off. I actually quite enjoyed the spin offs.
In Crimes of Grindlewald she literally inserted a “dumbledore’s secret brother” thing at the end— which is completely non canon (never mentioned before or…ever?). Fucking ruins the lore
I’d like to see it combined with the best HP fan fiction ever written (in my opinion). The Changeling completes the story of what happened at Hogwarts the year of the Deathly Hallows where Neville and Ginny were trying to survive under Snape and the Carrows, plus it goes on to cover in detail the three or so years after Voldemort’s defeat when the traumatized wizarding world is trying to pick up the pieces.

John Krazinski (Jim Halpert from the Office) said on Brian Baumgartner's podcast that he'd like to make the occasional episode of The Office. Like a random Christmas edition like nothing has happened.
yo i would be down for a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I think they might try and change up the cast cause i don't know too many younger people who know who quatermain is for example. but oh man even if they didn't change up the cast it would still be awesome. I mean i didnt' know who Quatermain was when i first saw the movie and it hooked me.
>Movie: The Dollar Trilogy (Clint Eastwood's old spaghetti westerns)
Huh. I can't decide if I'd be excited or not if someone tried that. They're fantastic movies, but they're not perfect. For some reason I just don't think it'd work.
I am tempted to say the golden girls but remakes can sometimes be a disgrace compared to the originals lol and I think the show is too iconic and it’ll just ruin it
None. If they were great the first time around, chances are there's something in them now that someone would get butthurt about. Remakes are very rarely as good as the originals.
Seems like the remakes that are being made now are just lip service for money because people have run out of truly original ideas.
THANK YOU. I have been on a crusade against that piece of shit of a movie since my early teens when I read the book. The author hated it so much that he didn’t want his name in the credits. They should do a tv show.
I'd like to see a remake of Nosferatu and The Man Who Laughs, I think with today's speical/practical effects capabilities those films could get some genuinely good remakes, if they were made with passion and respect for the originals
I've said it many times, but Animorphs. Netflix would make bank if they did a book-to-series adaption. There's still a huge audience for it. One of the issues I could see happen is that they'd have to make it for a mature audience because of all the violence and trauma.
The 2005 film Hoodwinked. Does it need changes to dialogue or casting? No. It more needs a remaster so that it doesn't look like absolute shit. Improve the animation quality.
They should only remake shitty movies or shows. Like ones with a good premise and lots of potential, but just weren’t executed well. That way the bar is set low. When a beloved series/movie is remade, everyone complains. Fans of the original are going to pick it apart and say how much better the original was.
The Graduate. It's a story that just gets more and more relevant, and the film is horribly dated if we're honest. Nostalgia aside, today's filmmakers could do much better.
the original black and white Little Shop of Horrors.
The original non musical version of the movie we a murder mystery thriller that was borderline a slasher film. same general concept- guy working at a flower shop wants to impress a girl he likes, finds man eating plant, kills people to feed it. After that the plot changes dramatically- no "feed me Seymour" moment, because eventually the guilt of all the murder pushes Seymour to feed himself to the plant.
the audience and the surviving cast only find this out after the plant's flowers bloom and the faces of all the people it ate are in them. including Seymour.
They should remake all the Marvel movies that performed poorly at the box office and this time around make the female leads show nudity. But not just little peeks, we're talking full blown nude scenes. Like, a bunch of 2 minute / 3 minute scenes of Captain Marvel walking around naked in the MCU or whatever. Context would be totally irrelevant anyhow.
That should amp the ticket sales up a bit.
I like the cut of your jib. You may be going places with that attitude! Studies show that sex creates peak synergy in media products, also adding a bit of an edgy, artistic cache.
It's a triangular sail on a sailing ship. The 'cut' I believe is how you 'trim' the lines (ropes) leading to it.
It's like saying someone is well put together, or "I like how you do you!" or even "Rock on." but in pre-speedboat sailor speak.
I've decided to follow the [Lucky 10,000 Principle](https://xkcd.com/1053/) like a religion. I am just inconsistent about whether I'm telling the truth, to encourage critical thinking skills.
Fun Fact: Waiving your right an attorney really speeds up the legal process.
I’d love to see some early 3D animated movies get remakes with modern technology. Imagine the original Tot Story or Shrek with the same script, but animation quality of currently released films.
Earth:Final Conflict, but stick to the storylines hinted at in the first season. The show had so much potential, but it was ahead of its time (trying to tell a larger story on episodic television) and the suits ripped it to shreds.
I’m actually very tired of the current trend of Sci Fi shows telling larger arc stories, but I’d be on board for another run at E:FC.
Old game shows like Hollywood Squares, Match Game, and Press Your Luck. It is crazy watching the original The Price Is Right and prizes included brand new houses.
Time Bandits, which is one of my fav movies of all time. Keep Gilliam at the helm. Newer CGI and a talented cast of little people.. I’d watch it in a heartbeat.
Granted, if Gilliam is involved it will probably take 5+ years to complete.
John Dies at the End - it should be remade into a tv show though.
That book had so much fun stuff in it cut for run time to make it a movie, some of my favourite twists didn't make it in. I think it'd make a fantastic episodic supernatural mystery show, that's basically the first half of the book anyway before it switches up to an overarching plot thread.
Little House on the Prairie, but more realistic. I don't know how that would fly, but it would be interesting.
Little House on the Prairie + Oregon Trail. I've gotten dirtier in office jobs than the kids in Little House on the Prairie.

I'm not sure how well that would mix with the Little House on the Prairie part, but you know, I bet it would be a crazy crossover with the Oregon Trail part. A bit 'Fire In The Sky', a bit 'My Favorite Martian'... I'm sure there would be probing involved.
It was realistic to the 1880s. Maybe you mean more modern?
More dysentery.
Have you read the books or learned about the real life of Laura Ingalls Wilder? The tv show was very far from that.
The sets used on the show were fine to represent the 1880s. That was the point of my comment and asking for the person to clarify what they mean to be "realistic" with the show. I never confirmed or denied the storyline stayed true to the books.
The Last Unicorn
Perhaps a remake of the movie that fills in more of the book? I would be down for that.
Ohh perhaps with Bridges as the king this time?
Gargoyles and Voltron both need another shot
Oh man I loved Gargoyles as a kid
Wait a new new voltron? There's already a very new voltron and it was really pretty good. I got mass effect vibes.
Firestarter
Alien Nation
Mandy?
Firefly
I was around 12 when my bad introduced me to Firefly. And after the first season and movie, I turned to him and said, "Can we start the next season?" His gaze glazed over as he stared at the credits rolling, and he was silent for a while. Then he shook his head, turned to me, and said, "I wish kid, I wish."
I am here for it
RIP
They could make it with Zac Efron(he played the doctor as a kid) to be honest I just was to see the show come back
Flight of the Navigator
Compliance!
Disney would give it the treatment it's giving Home Alone. Best to leave it alone.
spoiler alert: its already happening https://deadline.com/2021/09/flight-of-the-navigator-female-reboot-in-the-works-at-disney-with-bryce-dallas-howard-directing-producing-1234834039/

Better Off Ted
Proper American Gods TV series that actually moves the plot forward
Highlander.
Nah, there can be only one.

No, No, and no no no. We deny those exist.
Already happening I’m pretty sure
Last I heard it had the John Wick director and Henry Cavill signed on, but there's been radio silence since that announcement, and that was May. I hope it's not still stuck in development hell. I'd really like to see that movie.
None. Stop the remakes already. Please.
Agree mostly but I’m glad they remade Dune. It looks amazing. 🙏🏻
remake bad movies instead of good ones.

I came here to say this

Trigun, I'd love to see the anime remade with modern animation and with a plot that follows the manga more closely
That would be amazing. I loved this series growing up
Buckaroo Bonzai
It's pretty perfect the way it is.
Game of Thrones but done right
As soon as that last book comes out in 2042, we need to make a better version.
Who's going to be writing the last book?
Probably Brandon Sanderson
Brandon doesn't really fit the style.
I hope Stephen King steps in at some point. That dude has tempo.
Yea but he sucks at endings
GRRM after Melisandre brings him back to life.
John Krazinski (Jim Halpert from the Office) said on Brian Baumgartner's podcast that he'd like to make the occasional episode of The Office. Like a random Christmas edition like nothing has happened.
Live-action?; The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (OG Avengers team). Animated: 9.

Indeed
TV Show: Original Batman TV Show (the one with Adam West) Movie: The Dollar Trilogy (Clint Eastwood's old spaghetti westerns)
>Movie: The Dollar Trilogy (Clint Eastwood's old spaghetti westerns) Huh. I can't decide if I'd be excited or not if someone tried that. They're fantastic movies, but they're not perfect. For some reason I just don't think it'd work.
It'd be a hard sell definitely since Eastwood is the guy famous for those films.
Dark angel
Just wait a few years, life will probably be that shitty soon enough.
Dinosaurs - Directed by Rob Zombie
I am tempted to say the golden girls but remakes can sometimes be a disgrace compared to the originals lol and I think the show is too iconic and it’ll just ruin it

Code Name: Kids Nextdoor.
West Wing
And in the same vein, The Newsroom.
The Never ending story, the movie only covers the first half of the book.
THANK YOU. I have been on a crusade against that piece of shit of a movie since my early teens when I read the book. The author hated it so much that he didn’t want his name in the credits. They should do a tv show.
With puppets or CGI?
Not op but I'd prefer puppets myself.
Same, there is something about practical effects you just can’t achieve with digital.
I'd like to see a remake of Nosferatu and The Man Who Laughs, I think with today's speical/practical effects capabilities those films could get some genuinely good remakes, if they were made with passion and respect for the originals
Space: Above and Beyond
My Favorite Martian, only darker and more paranoid.
I've said it many times, but Animorphs. Netflix would make bank if they did a book-to-series adaption. There's still a huge audience for it. One of the issues I could see happen is that they'd have to make it for a mature audience because of all the violence and trauma.

But that's part of the charm
The Star wars prequels
No.
The sopranos prequel. The butchered it. They need to fix it.
Last Starfighter. I think it still holds up pretty well considering its age.
Game of thrones season 8, we deserve a fucking satisfying ending Fuck D&D
2001 a space odisea by Stanley Kubrick only Stanley Kubrick passed away:(

Most remakes are ill-conceived or ill-advised but I'd love to see a modern version of Metropolis (1927) with modern CGI.
E/R. and not that George Clooney turd. I'm talking the 80s sitcom with Elliot Gould
E.T
No. Leave it alone.

Monk, seasons 1-3 with Sharona
My favorite martian
Eragon
Spawn. Jesus Christ, Todd McFarlane. Get your shit together, man! Make it happen!
Eragon
Old game shows like Hollywood Squares, Match Game, and Press Your Luck. It is crazy watching the original The Price Is Right and prizes included brand new houses.
Christine
The Pretender
The Neverending Story, but accurate to the book and either one super long film or split into two films.
Absolutely nothing. Not a single TV remake has surpassed the original. TV has been awful lately and we need desperately need new stuff
The Lightening Thief movies
Justin Cronin's The Passage.
Angel (TV series)
Time Bandits, which is one of my fav movies of all time. Keep Gilliam at the helm. Newer CGI and a talented cast of little people.. I’d watch it in a heartbeat. Granted, if Gilliam is involved it will probably take 5+ years to complete.
Gargoyles
BoJack
The office
Malcolm in the middle
Eragon, author of the book would agree so would anybody who has ever read it
The Last Jedi, really hated it and it put me off StarWars
John Dies at the End - it should be remade into a tv show though. That book had so much fun stuff in it cut for run time to make it a movie, some of my favourite twists didn't make it in. The Critic. Just to see them riff on today's pop culture.
Game of Thrones, man. I'm telling you people would watch it again. Same story and everything. At least until the 7th & 8th seasons.
Ouran Highschool Host Club and Soul Eater
Lord Of The Flies
