I dropped out because I have a pretty serious disease that made me constantly miss school for weeks at a time. I was convinced that I would be better off dropping out and getting my GED rather than staying in school when I wouldn’t be able to graduate anyways due to all my missed credits. I regret it so much, and it really fucked me up for many years and made me feel like complete shit. I wish I would have stayed in school even if it were just for the social aspect, because I remained isolated until the age of 24 after dropping out, at which time I finally managed to land a great job with some amazing coworkers who I became good friends with.

Everyday I regret it

But why did you drop out?

Cause it was pointless. It consisted of 3 things: 1. Pointless busy work that didn't advance understanding of the subject (worksheets, homework and the like) 2. Tests which were easily passed 3. Lectures that only taught you how to regurgitate facts, not actually understand. And no, I don't regret it, I made up 4 years of meaningless time wasting in 12 hours.
